Cruz gun law filibustered by Democrats

November 8, 2017

Every time there is a shooting like the horrific church shooting last Sunday, gun control advocates immediately call for more gun laws. They accuse opponents of offering no solutions. Yet they never seem to tell us exactly what laws they would pass that would have actually prevented the shootings. The “do something even it’s wrong” mentality seems self-defeating, particularly in the latest case, where we learned that the shooter was already banned by law from ever owning a gun and a paperwork snafu let him go undetected, while his killing spree was ended by a law-abiding former NRA instructor with a personal weapon he wouldn’t have had if the gun control lobby had its way.

So the question remains: since existing laws failed to prevent this atrocity, precisely what new laws would have prevented it? Sen. Ted Cruz, of all people, thinks that a gun law he introduced in 2013 would have. It would’ve required all government agencies (including the Air Force) to report gun-disqualifying convictions to the NCIS database. It also would’ve created a task force to prosecute people who lie about previous convictions on their background check/application forms, a felony that the government seldom prosecutes. Those things should have kept the Texas killer from buying a gun.

So what happened to Ted Cruz’s gun law? Democrats killed it with a filibuster. Seriously.

It just goes to show that demos aren't really that concerned about how many people are killed in mass shootings, they just want to ban citizens from being able to buy guns and they are determined to confiscate and destroy the guns we have just like they did in Austalia. They, like everyone else, know that an unarmed population is necessary for any political group(Democratic Socialists?) to take over a country and turn it into a 3rd world disaster like Venezuela has become. Once the demos achieve their aim, we are all starving bozos who have to kill their neighbors to stay alive. Tell a demo that and they will tell you it is better than letting the billionaires own all the property. Demos are such jealous idiots to be fooled by that self-destructive idea.

It's simple. Anti-gun and anti-conservative are the same thing in their narrow minds. This is from liberals, which word once suggested that the bearer was open-minded.

Problem was it was Republican who proposed the law but TED CRUZ made it impossible to support for any Democrat. Even if he was for banning all guns Dems would oppose!

Just a minor correction, it’s NICS (national instant check system), not (NCIS) Naval Criminal Investigation Service.
