Support Chick Fil-A

I have been incensed at the vitriolic assaults on the Chick fil-A company because the CEO, Dan Cathy, made comments recently in which he affirmed his view that the Biblical view of marriage should be upheld. The Cathy family, led by Chick fil-A founder Truett Cathy, are a wonderful Christian family who are committed to operating the company with Biblical principles and whose story is the true American success story. Starting at age 46 Truett Cathy built Chick fil-A into a $4 billion a year enterprise with over 1600 stores. At 91, he is still active in the company, but his son Dan runs it day to day as CEO.It's a great American story that is being smeared by vicious hate speech and intolerant bigotry from the left.

The Chick fil-A company refuses to open on Sundays so that their employees can go to church if they wish. Despite the pressure from malls, airports, and the business world to open on Sundays, they still don't. They treat customers and employees with respect and dignity.

I ask you to join me in speaking out on Wednesday, August 1 "Chick fil-A Appreciation Day.” No one is being asked to make signs, speeches, or openly demonstrate. The goal is simple: Let's affirm a business that operates on Christian principles and whose executives are willing to take a stand for the Godly values we espouse by simply showing up and eating at Chick fil-A on Wednesday, August 1. Too often, those on the left make corporate statements to show support for same sex marriage, abortion, or profanity, but if Christians affirm traditional values, we're considered homophobic, fundamentalists, hate-mongers, and intolerant. This effort is not being launched by the Chick fil-A company and no one from the company or family is involved in proposing or promoting it.

There's no need for anyone to be angry or engage in a verbal battle. Simply affirm appreciation for a company run by Christian principles by showing up on Wednesday, August 1 or by participating online – tweeting your support or sending a message on Facebook.

I would like to see Chick Fil A sue the pants off of those mayors just because Mr Cathey expressed a personal opinion. This is a violation of his First Amendment rights. I cant believe the arrogance of the third rate politians.

Hi, got this below email, is it true, colleges are closing college campus Chick-fil-a's???????????

Most of you have probably heard about the issues going on with Chick-Fil-A and the "anti-gay" controversy. Because CFA is one of Keith's clients, he has asked me to share some info that you may not be aware of. This whole issue started on the college campus and that is what is being affected. Keith is responsible for all non traditional stores. (college campus, hospitals, malls, airports, etc.) The media has distorted and flat out lied about what Dan Cathy said in his interview. As a result the gay community is working overtime to damage CFA. This hit the media last Wednesday and by Monday of this week 33 college campus locations have called to close their CFA stores. As of this morning the number is up to 40. Two universities will literally be closing by tomorrow.Three critical ones are Penn. State, University of Louisville, and St Louis University. Keith feels that since most people don't know about all the college stores, the general public doesn't see the gays as doing much damage, nor are they aware of how CHRISTIANS can help CFA. The CFA stores on the college campus locations are under fire from the LGBT community. For those of you who do facebook or know how to tweet...NOW is the time to do it! TODAY IF POSSIBLE! Tell as many people as you know to get in touch with the Mike Huckaby Show and ask him to air on his show how the colleges are being attacked and suggest that he encourage the christian students to start petitions to keep their stores open. They need to go to the presidents of their college and make their voices heard. Most students don't even know that their CFA on campus is being affected. I am amazed at the "QUICK" organization of the gay community and their power to PRESSURE college presidents to remove the stores. You can go to the CFA website to get a list of all the college campus locations; there are about 180 stores. PLEASE HELP GET THE WORD OUT! FIRST AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, PRAY! SECOND GET ON YOUR COMPUTER AND PASS THIS EMAIL TO EVERYONE WHO WILL HELP SPREAD THE WORD VIA FACEBOOK OR PHONE CALLS. IF THE GAYS CAN CLOSE CFA STORES IN ONE WEEKS TIME, CHRISTIANS NEED TO BE JUST AS ACTIVE.

If you can think of any other public voice (radio, newspaper, etc.) please ask them to get the word out to the students to petition and appeal to the college presidents to keep the CFA's open at their school.

    Thanks,

Such a positive affirmation should be done on a regular basis to show that Christians not only support each other and the word of God when liberal values threaten the moral well-being of our nation, but such support is prevalent all of the time. Let's have a National Chick-fil-A Day! http://www.cfaday.questionpro.com/

Chick... was the ONLY building left standing after the Joplin EF5 tornado destroyed all of the buildings around them! It was Sunday and Chick ..., was closed, as usual! WalMart was flattened, Academy sports was demolished, BUT NOT CHICK ...!!! Our family immediately remarked that God had truly protected them! There were only minor broken windows, etc when everything around them had been flattened! That's a testimony!

    Chris About Chik-Fil-A ----- I stand with you. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I am really tired of the petulant minority trying to bully the rest of the population. Being a Christian does not mean that we are not able to express our convictions. However, just because we have strong convictions about our faith and belief, does not equate to being haters.
We accept and tolerate the freedom you indulge, we do not hate you --we do hate the sin.
To think that a mayor of any city has the audacity to make a statement that Chik-Fil-A is banned from opening a store in their city, simply because of the statement Dan Cathy made, shows the ignorance of the politicians. Do they not realize that there are people in their city who would love to eat at a Chik-Fil-A? I beg to differ in calling the people who support Dan Cathy haters. The haters would be the governing politicians, in fact anyone, who choose to flagrantly misappropriate words, thoughts, and ideas, and rather force their own misguided tenets upon others.
I suggest you look up the definition of the word "tolerate". You'll find in that definition such ideas as "to put up with". I think you'll find that most Christians, and most of those who prefer to maintain a traditional understanding of marriage, tend to "put up with" those of opposing perspectives more so than vice versa. Those who scream the loudest about the "intolerance" of Christians tend to be far more intolerant. And those who call Christians "haters" tend to display much more hateful attitudes toward Christians than Christians display toward others.
So I ask you, given what "tolerate" & "hate" REALLY mean, to take a cold hard look at who's doing what to whom, and try to continue to believe that hateful and mutated rhetoric is the evidence of a tolerant person....
