Don't Mess With Texas
Mike Huckabee
The Supreme Court may have ruled that the government can force the Obamacare pill down our throats, but good luck making the states swallow it. So far, Louisiana, Florida, Mississippi, Iowa and South Carolina have all rejected Obamacare’s expensive, unfunded Medicaid expansion requirement. Yesterday, the big dog weighed in: Texas Gov. Rick Perry sent a letter to Health and Human Services Secretary Katheleen Sebelius, saying that he has no intention of implementing either the Medicaid expansion or the state insurance exchange program. Perry wrote that neither of those things would result in better patient protection or more affordable care, “They would only make Texas a mere appendage of the federal government when it comes to health care.” He added, “I will not be party to socializing healthcare and bankrupting my state in direct contradiction to our constitution and our founding principles of limited government.” To sum it up in four words: “Don’t mess with Texas.”
This commentary aired on the Huckabee Report yesterday.

I think this is absolutely fantastic. But, can it be done? I am copying this and sending this to our new North Carolina Governor - Republican Governor. My thoughts are this is the worst policy this nation has ever made. And, every time I think of the way the senate shoved this down our throats I get mad all over again. It is nothing more than corrupt politics. And the very nerve of congress to exempt themselves is dispickable. We all might have to move to Texas. They fight for their beliefs and freedom.
