DAILY BIBLE VERSE

But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.”

Joshua 24:15 NIV

Blocked for my views on President Trump, the COVID-19 response, Joe Biden, etc.

Let me be clear: Government and Big Tech are working together to censor conservative views, and because they are I moved my newsletter to Substack.

Because you are a free subscriber to my newsletter, I would like you to consider subscribing to the paid version on Substack.

A Substack subscription-based newsletter allows my team and I to focus on what matters: the writing and the research we do to back up the writing, instead of worrying about censorship, or what Google is saying about me, how they are handling advertising on our website or whether or not my work shows up when you search for it.

To keep the newsletter going, we have setup a monthly goal of identifying 671 new paying subscribers for the month of NOVEMBER.

Friday was an eventful day for former President Trump on his many legal fronts.

A liberal Colorado judge rejected a lawsuit seeking to keep Trump off the 2024 ballot under the 14th Amendment ban on “insurrectionists.” The judge found that under the Constitution, a President is not an “officer of the United States” who can be disqualified by the Amendment. However, she went on to say that he "engaged in insurrection" by sparking the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol by his supporters. And of course, that’s the big headline in most of the news stories.

https://www.reuters.com/legal/colorado-judges-allows-trump-primary-ballot-delays-decision-general-election-2023-11-18/

Granted, I’m not a judge – not even an attorney – but in what world does a judge have the right to publicly brand someone guilty on the court record of a crime for which he was never indicted, much less convicted? The finding that the Constitution does not apply was not only all she needed to say, it was all that she had the power to say, not having presided over any trial of those charges. That gives a strained new meaning to the term, “judicial opinion.”

In a related story, the judge in Trump’s election interference case in DC, Judge Tanya Chutkan, rejected a request from Trump’s attorneys to remove language from the indictments referring to "actions of independent actors at the Capitol on January 6,” which Trump did not commit and for which he was not charged. They argued that “allegations related to these actions are not relevant and are prejudicial and inflammatory.” Chutkan ruled that, "Regardless of whether the allegations at issue are relevant, Defendant has not satisfied his burden to clearly show that they are prejudicial,"

Yeah, why would it be prejudicial to fill an indictment with a list of crimes other people committed and that the defendant isn’t even accused of?

In Michigan, where a judge threw out a lawsuit trying to keep Trump off the ballot on 14th Amendment grounds, the democracy-hating Democrats who brought it are appealing to the state Supreme Court. Let’s hope they use their gavels appropriately on it.

https://justthenews.com/government/courts-law/michigan-group-appeals-trump-14th-amendment-case-state-supreme-court

Finally, as Gomer Pyle would say, “Sur-prize! Sur-prize!” The judge in Trump’s New York real estate fraud case rejected his attorneys’ filing for a mistrial based on his demonstrated and possibly illegal bias (such as commenting on a case in front of him on a collegiate social media page), finding that it was “utterly without merit.” Funny, that phrase also occurred to me, but not in relation to the mistrial filing.

In response, New York Rep. Elise Stefanik filed her second ethics complaint against this judge.

Biden should write a book

Remember how Trump ran for office on a platform of negotiating better deals with other nations? He argued that for years, officials in Washington agreed to deals that were far more advantageous to other nations than to America. He vowed to reverse that, and he did. He put Americans' interests first, while leftists twisted “America first” into a pejorative that in their minds meant something evil, jingoistic, fascist, imperialist, xenophobic, and probably racist and transphobic, too. All it really meant was that we stopped giving away the farm to other nations and made sure American businesses and workers got some profits and jobs and that we didn’t sell out America’s security.

Tragically, Trump was replaced with Biden, whose idea of a great international deal was giving our enemies anything they wanted in exchange for empty promises they had no intention of keeping. For instance, giving billions to Iran and allowing them to build nuclear reactors in exchange for pinky-swear promises that they wouldn’t use the money to fund terrorism or enrich uranium to build nuclear bombs. We know how well the first promise worked out, and here’s how we’re doing on the second: Reuters reports that Iran already has enough enriched uranium to build three nuclear bombs.

https://www.reuters.com/world/middle-east/irans-nuclear-enrichment-advances-it-stonewalls-un-iaea-reports-show-2023-11-15/

Flush with his success at selling out to Iran, Biden has now agreed with China to shut down America’s fossil fuel industry. In pursuit of his “climate change” agenda, the State Department announced that it has struck a deal with Chila to "accelerate the substitution for coal, oil and gas generation" with green energy sources like wind and solar power.

https://www.foxnews.com/politics/experts-raise-alarm-biden-strikes-agreement-china-shut-down-fossil-fuels

Here are just a few of the drawbacks to that deal that the media don’t want to discuss:

1. If you think China has any intention whatsoever of abiding by it themselves, you are as crazy as a TikTokker fangirling on Osama Bin Laden. I’ve seen this movie before, and I know how it ends. In 2021, Xi Jinping pledged to “strictly control coal-fired power generation plants” in China. In the two years prior, Beijing had approved building 127 such plants. In the two years since pledging to limit them, they’ve approved 182.

https://wattsupwiththat.com/2023/11/17/peak-cognitive-dissonance-for-the-climate-scare/

2. This deal will destroy American jobs; empower and enrich oil producers like OPEC, Russia and Iran; and make energy costs for working Americans skyrocket while resulting in widespread power outages, made worse by Biden’s insane insistence on forcing everyone to drive unreliable, unwanted electric cars that will put a massive drain on the power grid.

3. Wind and solar are completely inadequate to provide reliable power for a 21st century advanced nation. They also are NOT “green,” as they create vast amounts of pollution to build the towers, turbines and solar panels; they blight the landscape; they don’t last nearly as long or produce nearly as much power as advertised; they are decimating bird populations and are likely responsible for killing whales.

Like the frantic pullback from EVs by automakers who are losing billions, we’re already seeing these “green energy” companies begging to get out of contracts to build off-shore wind farms (a crazy idea when you consider the effects of salt water on metal) or else begging for even more government subsidies. We would have been better off generating power from steam engines heated by burning taxpayer money.

https://justthenews.com/politics-policy/energy/wind-companies-losing-billions-experts-say-federal-bailout-could-be-coming

There is a reliable source of adequate power with zero emissions, one that some European nations like France are already exploiting. But we can’t use nuclear power because a lot of liberals are terrified of it due to Chernobyl and Fukushima – incidents that could be avoided by not building nuclear power plants in an earthquake zone using Soviet technology from 1986. So instead, we’ll shut down our oil and gas resources and hope the wind blows today while China keeps right on building coal-fired power plants.

Trump wrote “The Art of the Deal.” Biden should write a book called “The Art of the Abject Surrender.”

A “Warm War”

Friday, President Biden outrageously invoked a Cold War era law (he’s waging war on the climate now, so apparently this is a “Warm War”) to dump taxpayer money into the domestic manufacture of electric heat pumps to replace gas heaters. To be fair, I’ve heard that those can actually work very well. That is, until we’re having a blizzard and the power grid powered by solar panels and windmills shuts down.

Wrong again, Gavin

California Gov. Gavin Newsom seems incapable of making his state livable, so he’s been spending a lot of time slamming states to which his former residents are moving. In his latest self-own, he took to Twitter (X) to claim that Murfreesboro, Tennessee, had “banned being gay in public.”

https://www.westernjournal.com/gavin-newsom-slapped-community-note-pushing-false-gay-ban-narrative/

Actually, the city council already unanimously repealed a 70-year-old ordinance banning homosexuality. The new ordinance bans "indecent exposure, public indecency, lewd behavior, nudity or sexual conduct." But thanks, Gavin, for telling us all how you define what it means to be gay in public. I think he might be spending too much time in San Francisco.

Welcome to LA

Welcome to late-stage Los Angeles, where criminals are repeatedly released to prey on the public, but where a law-abiding citizen has his concealed carry permit revoked because he used his firearm to defend his home and family from would-be robbers. I guess liberals really do believe the Second Amendment only exists to protect duck hunting.

Thankful for life, and glad to be an American

We will be celebrating Thanksgiving this coming week, and even with Joe Biden in the White House wandering around like last year’s turkey and Kamala Harris cackling like this year’s turkey, there’s a lot to be thankful for, even though almost none of it originates in Washington, DC!

I’m grateful it’s already deer season in Arkansas and many parts of the country, and before it’s over, I hope to fill my freezer again this year with delicious, healthy, lean, and organic venison.  I have friends and even a few grafted-in family members who aren’t all that pumped about eating Bambi’s Daddy, but I just sing the lyrics to “Circle of Life” and remind them that if they really are into healthy protein that is as organic as the acorns off the oak trees, then venison is the meat of choice.  I use it in my world famous deer meat chili for example.  World famous, you ask?  Well, they probably don’t know about it in Beijing, Teheran, or North Korea, but why would I share my chili recipe with the Communist Chinese who have done little to share with us other than the Wuhan Virus?  And I sure wouldn’t give it to the Ayatollah in Iran.  Heck, Joe’s giving them billions already and they are turning around and making Christmas rockets for Hamas and Hezbollah.  And sadly, folks in North Korea are reduced to eating grass clippings and tree bark and wouldn’t know a good bowl of deer chili from a bowl of cow droppings.  So maybe my deer meat chili isn’t famous everywhere, but in MY world, it’s famous, and that makes it “world famous chili.”  And good venison can make wonderful tacos, spaghetti, meat loaf, summer sausage, and of course chicken-fried deer steak which cooked in my big black-iron skillet will make you jump up and break-dance on the kitchen table.

And I’m grateful that duck season will start this weekend in Arkansas.  Did I mention that Arkansas is the duck hunting capital of the world.  And yes, I actually do mean the entire world as people fly from as far away as Europe to experience the sacred sight of thousands of mallards coming in for a landing across the Arkansas prairie and throughout the Delta in an area that is comprised of the White, Arkansas and Mississippi rivers along the food source of the most productive rice fields in the United States located in east Arkansas.  I often say that the first day in heaven will be a flooded timber duck hunt.  Not sure what we do after that, but God wants us to get off to a great start and it’s obvious we’ll kick things off with our heavenly versions of a 12-gauge Benelli semi-automatic shotgun and busting ducks for the first night’s dinner in glory!

Of course there are other things to be thankful for.  Like “Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness,” although if we don’t do better in the coming elections, we might not have any of those things left.  And then we’ll be hunting just to feed the family and not just to supplement our groceries and to just enjoy the outdoors.

I’m obviously thankful for my family—a wife of almost 50 years, 3 grown children who all turned out pretty good, and 7 absolutely adorable grandchildren.  I’m thankful for good health, except for the aches and pains that my doctor dismisses as an issue of “age.”  And I’m thankful for a wonderful church family where I hear strong Biblical messages, enjoy edifying relationships with fellow pilgrims in the process of life, and who fellowship with those who genuinely bear one another’s burdens.

So as we prepare for Thanksgiving, and I start preparing not one but two turkeys for the masses who will descend on my house Thanksgiving Day, I will not be focusing on the odorous politics of Washington, but the magnificent aroma of both smoked and fried turkey, cornbread dressing, pecan pie, and gallons of iced tea.  And I’m still glad to be an American!

Now, now, Governor Huckabee, hunting and killing are allowed for this old fallen world of death. In heaven the lamb will lie down with the lion.

Thanks a million for keeping me sane for the past three years!! We pray for you (and your daughter too, since we live in LR, AR) every day, along with President Trump, Mark Tapson (my boyhood best pal who works for David Horowitz), and all the other front line heroes in this cold war to save America. Thank God, he gave us all the smart ones and good ones! The Demonicradicals are criminally insane (and some RINOS.)

I like your title for O'Biden's book, but since he is Obama's boy puppet,I think the title should be the same as the title of a song - "WHAT KIND OF FOOL AM I?".

We had a heat pump for many years, and it worked well as long as the temp was above 35 or 40F. I doubt the Biden Administration knows this. But it was quite expensive to install.
