This past week has seen Washington, DC at its most disgraceful, disgusting and dysfunctional worst. The President continues to attempt to sell his wrecked used car called Obamacare and thinks Americans are dumb enough to be more likely to buy it if he throws in an AM radio on this clunker whose engine won’t start and which has no tires. And Senate Democrats brazenly invoked a power grab that they railed against as un-American when Republicans were in charge of the Senate. They truly have no shame….or at least no memory or concern that their hypocrisy and duplicity have violated over 200 years of Senate tradition and rules. Like most Americans, I’m fed up with the total disconnect the political class in Washington has with the working class of the rest of America. DC makes the Toronto Mayor look perfectly normal. Contrast that with what I saw while serving as one of the emcees Friday night in Nashville at the Tribute to George Jones, where rabid fans of the Possum filled every seat in Bridgestone Arena to pay tribute to the country music legend for his ultimate “No-Show” concert. He may not have shown up, but his loyal followers did, as did the royalty of the music world. The greatest artists on the planet took to the stage—over 100 of them---in 4 unbroken hours playing the songs of a man whose voice was the musical equivalent of the echo of the ups and downs of the American population. People might think country music means rural music, but the popularity of country music even in urban areas reveals that it is simply the music of our country. It is the authentic story telling of our lives—the good, the bad, and the broken. But country is the music of real people who face the tough moments of life, fight with all they have, and survive. Backstage was like a family reunion of country stars, songwriters, producers, and musicians. And as I listened to the music, saw the camaraderie of those who made the music, and observed the approval of those who had made sacrifices to pay for the tickets to be in the seats, it occurred to me that fixing Washington probably won’t happen. They don’t want it fixed. They live apart from us, exempting themselves from the rules that crush the rest of us. Their economy never stutters or sputters because they print more money for themselves and choke it out of us. So I’ve decided the solution isn’t to reform Washington; it’s to abandon it. Tell the entire government they are fired and move the new government of the people, by the people, and for the people to where the people gather to act like responsible adults act—make Nashville the Capitol. It’s in the center of the country and easier to get to; it’s an amazingly hospitable place and a place that has never depended on government to save them. When a devastating flood in 2010 all but baptized the entire city, the people of Nashville helped each other and didn’t wait on the government to save them. Like neighbors helping neighbors rebuild the barn, the people of Nashville acted like Americans---responsible, resourceful, and resilient. America needs a recovery and it’s increasingly obvious the only recovery in Washington is re-covering lies and deception. So to heck with Washington. Let’s start over. We can do better. And we’ll make Nashville the new Capitol City. We started with a George—George Washington. Let’s start over with the spirit of another George—George Jones. I’m pretty sure we will govern better and I know the music will be incredible.

SO, we (USA) agree to go along with the NAFTA TREATY about a decade ago with some false pretense that it will somehow make the US a stronger manufacturing nation ( how ? ) . and every year more and more jobs LEAVE the USA ,BUT none come to replce those jobs lost. WE loose our status as a MANUFACTURING country to become a SERVICE country.the rest of the world then says ,HEY,we can do service work also ( try dialing a customer service # , you'll see what i mean ) ! anyone see the handwriting on the wall when one of the "BIG THREE " in the USA became the RECREATION INDUSTRY? in the mean time WE have no limits on how many people move to this country of dwindeling jobs. EVEN persons from countries who have been influxed with jobs by former US BASED COMPANIES.SO NOW, our fearlous LEADERS ( ? ) are going to make things better by forcing what used to be after-school jobs companies, pay wages comparable to what skilled workers were paid a few short years ago ? GEEEEZ ...........WHY ARE THINGS GOING DOWN THE DRAIN IN AMERICA ???????

Barack Obama deliberately lied to the American people about more issues than any other President in History. Every lie was told for nothing but political gain, not for the well being of our country.
He lied when he said “I said Benghazi was a terrorist attack from the beginning.” He lied when he said “If you like your health insurance plan, you can keep it” He lied when he said “If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor”
I just wish he'd start saying "If you like your President, you can keep your President.

    Re: Obamacare
The "broken website" is a non-issue , anyone can fix a website in time , the sinister evil in Obamacare is the Mandatory Enrollment .. THIS is the issue that needs to be discussed ... LOUDLY ... Do people really understand what it means when the Government says something is MANDATORY ???? and what happens if you fall behind on payments ??? Think Taxes and IRS , and THAT is the sinister Devil in the Details of the "Mandatory Health Insurance Act" (it has not been shown to be "affordable" therefore a lie to call it such) Please yell as loud as you can , "Mandatory means you pay or else" and "or else" is NOT GOOD

I don't know why there is all the concern about Iran getting a nuclear bomb. All the Obama administration has to do is tell the Iranians that we'll let Iran have nuclear weapons after their whole population signs up for Obamacare. That should keep them from EVER getting an atomic bomb.
