This week, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush was in Washington, hosting a national summit on education at a hotel right down the street from the White House. But the real buzz was about whether he’d soon move up the street. We’ve had two President Adamses and two Roosevelts, but three President Bushes would be unprecedented. Many people have urged Jeb Bush to run. Even Democrats who vilified his brother admit that Jeb would be a strong candidate. But after seeing the relentless blame and vitriol aimed at his brother, I’d understand if he’s reluctant. Reporters kept pressing him about 2016. He said he was just there to talk about education. He didn’t rule out a presidential run. And the reporters noticed that the summit attendees included Mitt Romney’s pollster. Who knew he was so interested in education?
