Whenever Republicans try to cut funding to Planned Parenthood, it always raises howls of outrage from the left that they’re waging a war on women’s health services. Nobody ever wants to talk about what Planned Parenthood actually does with our tax money. But with the new year, the required annual reports have been filed, and the Susan B. Anthony List analyzed the numbers. If you think Planned Parenthood is just a benign source of health care for women, the numbers may shock you. In fact, their clinics don’t even perform mammograms; they send women somewhere else for those. Increasingly, Planned Parenthood is becoming the one-stop-shop for abortions. According to the latest numbers, the organization got a record $542 million in taxpayer funds last year. That’s 45 percent of its annual revenue. Yet since 2009, Planned Parenthood’s contraceptive services have dropped by 12 percent, and its cancer screening and prevention services have dropped by 29 percent. But one aspect of their business is booming. In fiscal 2011, they performed a record 333,964 abortions. In the three years from 2009 to 2011, they performed a total of 995,687 abortions.

Granted, you may have no problem with that. It’s your right to think that way. But could we at least stop insulting the intelligence of pro-life Americans by claiming that giving their tax money to Planned Parenthood does nothing but provide women with health services? For nearly one million unborn children just since 2009, what Planned Parenthood supplied was death services.

Thank you Gov. Huckabee for the information - knowledge is powerful...discernment even better! I pray for all the women who are faced at that crossroad. I can say from experience that illegalizing abortions will probably make many women look at different options right away. For those who wish to enter the "back alley", my hope is that is the place where they will find Christians to offer them love, compassion, and another look at and support for alternatives. Just as I would not recommend health clinics to supply sterile needles to those who are choosing drugs, no matter who pays for it, I do not agree with legalized abortion. We all face consequences for our actions. But God and His love provides a way out. Education is the best teacher, and especially a moral education based on the principles of Christ Jesus. May His love come to all those who thirst... Our youth are starving for this kind of guidance, and many adults, too.

I am pro-life, without doubt, but still believe that Roe v. Wade needs to stand (but certainly not at the taxpayers expense). There are evil people in this world; we see it every day. Without legalized abortion, women with evil intentions will still find a way and the "back alley" alternative is not acceptable. Our job as Christians is to drive the evil away from the desperate. Show them that they have other options and that they are loved. When we drive evil away, the need for abortion clinics will evaporate. We have an uphill battle when our Government leaders in Washington seem to advocate, even encourage, women to abort by making it so "easy". Their choice should not be made easy and they should face the consequences for their decisions. Our leaders have a mind for us to pay for someone else's poor (evil) decisions.

Thank you so much Gov. Huckabee for keeping people informed about this tragedy. Have you ever considered having an audience composed of women who have had abortions and have suffered the terrible physical and emotional fall out? There are many wonderful organizations that offer help to these women and are looking for ways to be heard. My heart has been broken over this issue and it is a side that has never been discussed in a major television program to my knowledge. Thanks Renee Cole

Thank you for the updated info on Planned Parenthood. I am soooooo against what they do. The number of abortions are staggering. I am sad and angry.
In Sunday school tomorrow I am teaching from the Scriptures that God created life; He values life; Life begins at conception and we are to honor God and His creations.
Keep up the good, positive, Christian emphasis. We listen, watch and support you.

In my opinion, all this hoopla about gun control is ridiculous; it is extremely sad that children are shot in the schools and theaters, but I wonder if anyone thinks about the millions of babies that are murdered by abortion after the Roe vs Wade ruling and note, no guns were used there.

We strongly support the right to life, the sanctity of marriage, limited government and a balanced budget.

We feel that Social Security is not an entitlement but earned income over a lifetime of work, paid into by the employer and the worker.

We think that the governing bodies should purchase their own insurance and pay into social security like the rest of the people do and that the government should abide by the laws they put in place for the proletariat.
