Honored To Be Invited

I'm honored to be invited by Governor Romney to address my fellow Republicans at the Republican National Convention in Tampa, but especially grateful for the opportunity to explain to my fellow Americans why this election provides the most stark contrast of political platforms in American history. Four years ago, many Americans were willing to give an untested and largely unknown candidate their hope. Barack Obama made wonderful speeches and promised a government that would be dramatically different. That turned out to be an understatement. We were promised transparency but we have been a government cloaked in secrecy , Executive Privilege, and hidden agendas. We were promised a government that would operate in a bi-partisan manner to solve problems, but have been given a government that has been led by the most divisive and partisan President in modern memory. We were promised economic recovery and the creation of millions of jobs, but have now seen the longest period of record unemployment since the Great Depression. We were promised that we'd have the respect of the nations of the world, but the nations posing the greatest threat to our security like Iran, have shown no regard for the political speeches that have substituted for sound and stellar policy. We were promised that we would make major reforms in our tax code and even watched an esteemed Commission of thoughtful people create a blueprint for addressing the staggering debt, but Barack Obama appointed the Commission, allowed it to do its work, and promptly ignored its every recommendation. He campaigned with the clarity that he would respect the sacred institution of marriage and claimed it was his own belief, but then became the first President in history to support changing the nature and definition of marriage. And he promised that his faith would guide him, but instead he has launched a full frontal assault on the conscience and convictions of religious liberty by insisting that his government run health system include forcing churches, colleges, hospitals, and businesses to bow their knee to the Baal of the federal government. Electing Mitt Romney is our opportunity to restore the function and scope of our government to its Constitutional origins. I will do all I can to help Mitt Romney become our President.

    Thanks Mike!

If they only knew his Real Agenda. Remember, when Obama was asked if he believed in American Exceptionalism, he said ' No, we are no better than anyone else ' Time for him to Go!

Good to know a man who defends the righteous will be addressing his fellow Repulicans at the RNC, and may the God with us be with you.

    Hello Gov. Mike,
Let me cut to the chase. I love everything about AMERICA!! Apparently our Government dosent. All they do is argue and blame eachother. Am i wrong or after Obama was elected didnt congress sit intermingled in a show of solidarity that they would work together? Opp's my bad. Didnt work did it?.The rest of the world laughs at us. They could care less about us, except when we give them money. We need a STRONG America and that starts with a military that is second to none. I'm not saying to go and bomb everyone, but it seem's that we are the policeman of the world. How do we do that if the tools are not available. Wouldnt it be nice if we could all pursue other lucarative endeavors instead of killing eachother? I for one am so distressed about whats going on. People in America are being held hostage until the elected officials determine whats best for us. (Like no baby formula) No jobs, no incentive to get a job. Remember the Pilgrims did what they had to do and did it!!! Maybe we should just throw our government into the bay and have our own TEA PARTY!!!!! WOO HOO!!!!!
    Anyone care to join???

    Re: Rotation

Of course, the order below could be slightly rotated based on if either Mike or Newt have been selected for the vp slot.

Re: Mike and Newt/John and Sarah

I cannot think of two better folks who could present reality and vision in a positive manner in Florida than you and Newt.

Perhaps Sarah Palin could be given a short spot following Newt to briefly introduce the vp candidate same night you and Newt speak.

Then on the last night John McCain could introduce the pres candidate. Timely and competent passing of the baton is important.
