Presidents Day

Feb 17 2014

Today is Presidents Day, a day to recognize the greatest Presidents of our nation. As I reflect on the Presidency of Barack Obama, I find myself, as so many of you do, wishing that we had a leader in the White House - one like Ronald Reagan, whose birthday we celebrated earlier this month.

I've heard President Obama on many occasions attempt to compare himself to President Reagan.  Mr. President, unfortunately, you are no Ronald Reagan! You can try to spin your time in office any way you want, President Obama, but the facts tell a different story.

• President Reagan reduced government regulations and tax rates.

• Under your “leadership” we’ve seen unprecedented growth in federal regulations and higher taxes across the board

• President Reagan understood that small business owners were the key to an economic turnaround and by working with them, delivered a precipitous drop in unemployment – from 10.8% when he took office to 5.9 when he left.

• Under your “leadership,” unemployment continues at an unacceptable rate, with hundreds of thousands of Americans dropping out of the work force altogether.

• President Reagan believed in the American people. Unfortunately, you believe in big government.

• Five years after Ronald Reagan entered the White House the GDP was 8.0%

• Five years after Barack Obama entered the White House the GDP is at 2.4%

I think most Americans would agree that despite President Obama's numerous attempts to compare himself to Ronald Reagan, he is no Ronald Reagan. And that's a sad fact.

Obama and the US congress are destroying the UNITED STATES of AMERICA, As a vet of the Cold War I see Obama and Congress take everything from the ones who defend our country. Most people in Congress never did anything in the Military. All they do is take all they can to be wealthy and destroy our country. We must get them out!

I personally did not vote for president he sounded to good to be true. I thought to myself, his to do list weas terribly long. I have come to the conclusion that he is a pathalogical liar. He doesn't know the first thing on being a leader. So he deligates. He appoints people paticular positions that have no business being there, that way when things go wrong they get blamed and then he promotes them so that they won't expose thae fact that he is behind all this lawlessness. As far as Bengazi, he has no backbone. His prioities are in the wrong place. Someone is giving him terribly wrong advice and whoever that is is running the country not him. I pray that we do not wind-up with problems like those other countries that are rioting. Thats all we need for him to declare marshall law and stay in power. I think he enjoys that Air Force One an awfull lot. For a president that preaches energy efficiency he he sure enjoys flying around in it. My parents brought me up to be color blind. This man has missed a great opportunity to bring this nation of different races and backrounds together, that I personally believe would make this nation stronger. I say secure our borders, children that have come here thru no falt of thier own give them tempoary green cards. Give thier parents a certain amount of time to fix thier illegal problems but not to be able to bring anyone else here. any person who served in the military make them a citizen but not to be able to bring in family members. And do something to make it fair to those who are waiting in line I have alot more Idea,s but I'll be here all night. Love your show. Please excuse my spelling. One more thing. When the president says lets sit down and try to fix a problem over a beer, what kind of a message is that for our youth. Many youths are alcaholics already.

I have always been color blind, even while living in Georgia when desegregation was forced and there were fire bombings and meanness all over Columbus, GA. But I must tell you that I think the other black man who ran for the presidency many years ago would have been preferable to the one in office now. At least he was a Christian. And I have to tell you, we desperately need some Christianity. Our country is in serious trouble in many ways, and I hope by the time Obama leaves office we still have a country. He and his constituents have robbed the American people of so many rights and are still trying to do so. I will not say more because I am not up to date on all details, but we really need help to get our country back on track. God help us.

    Mr. Huckabee
    Congratulations on your consistant popularity
    and message for America...
I am sure that I won't be the first or the last to
encourage you to run for President in 2016..But I may
be the first to tell you I would like you to choose
    Governor Kasich of Ohio as
    your running mate in 2016.
    I believe that between
the 2 of you, you would poll
    well among women, Latinos,
    and other fence sitting Dems
that voted in droves for Reagan back in the day...
    And obviously a majority of
    Republican men..
    Just a thought....
