So let me make sure I have this right—a young man who has never been in any trouble accidently forgets that his hunting rifle is locked away in the trunk of his car. When he thinks about it, he doesn’t just keep his mouth shut, since no one would have ever known. He calls his mother to come and retrieve it from his car just so he can fulfill both the letter and spirit of the law. For that, he is severely punished. Heck, he ought to be rewarded just for having that good of a relationship with his parents. But maybe I shouldn’t be surprised. I don’t recognize my country anymore. We punish that which we should honor and honor that which we should avoid. The IRS has acted criminally in its persecution of conservative, pro-life, Pro-Israel, or Tea Party groups, but the lady in charge of overseeing their applications gets a promotion to oversee Obamacare; The President had praise for Occupy groups that trashed streets, defecated in public, and shut down small businesses, but he’s had contempt for Tea Party groups that clean up after their own rallies and use restrooms like civilized humans; Eric Witholder spies on the AP and James Rosen for supposedly receiving leaked information, but does nothing when his CIA Director leaks classified information to the producer of the movie ZERO DARK THIRTY; The President was willing to send in the SEALS who risked their lives to kill Osama Bin Laden, but never gave the order to answer the cries for help of Americans getting murdered in Bengahzi—and we saw photos of him the night of the Bin Laden raid, but no can find out where he was the night of Benghazi. Didn’t anyone have an iPhone who could snap a photo of the President’s concern? The Romeike family from Germany was granted asylum in our country until Eric Holder appealed it and wants them deported because they want to homeschool their children in a Christian setting, but yet the same Attorney General sees nothing wrong with 11 million illegal immigrants being given a path to citizenship; the government refuses to call Nidal Hassan a terrorist even when he screamed Allah Akbar and murdered 14 unarmed soldiers in a cafeteria, but it treats me like a terrorist by spying on my phone calls and electronically strip searching me every time I get on an airplane; President Obama thinks a 12 year old is adult enough to get morning after birth control pills without her parents’ knowledge, but a 26 year old is still child enough to need Obamacare; The President thinks we ought to take away 2nd amendment rights of people who have never broken a law, but has yet to answer for why he thought it was a good idea to give thousands of guns to Mexican drug dealers who used them to kill hundreds of Mexicans and a US Border agent; The President wants to close Gitmo because the conditions aren’t nice enough, but orders drones to vaporize American citizens abroad who haven’t even been charged with a crime; He calls an NBA player and congratulates him for announcing he’s a homosexual, but has never called Tim Tebow and thanked him for announcing he’s a Christian; he tells Israel to stop building bedrooms for its families, but is missing in action while Iran builds nuclear bombs. And the government sent in armed SWAT teams and treated workers at Gibson Guitars like drug dealers because they use the same wood as Martin Guitars—the difference is that Gibson’s CEO gave money to Republicans and Martin’s CEO gave money to President Obama. Is it just me, or do you feel like something has gone horribly wrong in America? It’s time to stand up, speak up and say we won’t put up with this anymore. If you agree, let me know.

Mitt has played an exeetmrly smart game-plan for the off season. His low profile, except when hand-picking certain issues to speak out on has served him well to maintain relevance and inhibit overexposure at the same time. Kudos to his strategy team.It has been noticed in his speeches that he is nearly completely avoiding commenting much on social issues. It's true that he appeared to court the socons to hard last time and he should lighten up, but in this regard I think it is a slight over correction. The bad thing about it is I KNOW he is a socon. He just gets beat up about it every time he speaks his beliefs. Thus is politics.Mitt Romney for President! He is the best in every, way shape and form.

Dear Mike, I am a small business owner and am sick and tired of giving the government the first 57 cents of every profit dollar made. In addition, the complete lack of any type of moral standards sicken me. I, like most Americans feel powerless to actually change anything that such a small group of people has the power to control. Everyone I speak with agrees the country is not just going the wrong direction, but most are just plain scared. If everyone feels this way, how is this happening. We feel powerless...........

Illegal immigrants are just that illegal. Deportation has been around since 1935 and our government will uphold this law with every nationality but Mexicans. Our government uses illegal Mexicans for cheap labor. The illegal immigrants use false social security numbers and fake ID's, which both are federal crimes, to have jobs that our own unemployed US citizens could have, such as factory and healthcare. Why are business owners and employers not be prosecuted for hiring illegal immigrants? At one time our government was going to require our US children to learn the Mexican language because of the enormous amount of illegal Mexican immigrants. What??? This is America, shouldn't they be required to learn English? Why should I, an American citizen, have to compete with an illegal immigrant for a job? Why should these illegal immigrants be given leniency in becoming legal? Every other nationality has to go through citizenship classes to become a US citizen and prove they are legal, why not Mexicans? Why can we afford DUI checkpoints, but not immigration checkpoints? When illegal Mexican immigrants are found, it is not reported and they are not deported. How can we keep our society safe from gangs, Mexican cartel, thieves and murders when they are going to be given free access to our society? Why are we so concerned with what is going on in other countries, yet turn a blind eye to what is happening here? If I, a legal US citizen, was to pitch a tent on the White House lawn, I would be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. Illegal immigrants are essentially trespassing, as long as they don't step on the toes of certain bureaucrats, it is okay. If a bureaucrats family member was killed by one of the M13 gang members from Nicaragua, then maybe something would be done.

    Hi Mike,
I agree, and most of America agrees. But we the people, after awhile, begin to lose hope that things will change. Indeed, they will not change until this admin. is out of The White House. God's people must pray. This admin is evil and it is only by the power of The Spirit of God that this evil can be restrained. Most christians are like sheep gone astray. (I was one also, but The Lord is merciful). Most all the preachers are preaching how to get rich. The Church needs to repent before it can preach repentance to those who need it. Indeed, if the foundations be destroyed what can the righteous do.
I do thank The Lord for you, your family, and especially your godly leadership.
    You're in my prayers,
    Merriam Cooper
