Previously, Hayes was a producer for online video channel ReasonTV.
Joe Demler is a soft-spoken retired postmaster. He was famously pictured in Life magazine as “the Human Skeleton” upon his liberation from a German POW camp. Days from death, he weighed just 70 lbs. His comedic sidekick, Harvey, saw the iconic flag go up at the Battle of Iwo Jima.

Rick Atkinson is the author of several books including The Liberation Trilogy and “In the Company of Soldiers”, an account of his time with General David H. Petraeus and the 101st Airborne Division during the invasion of Iraq in 2003. Atkinson served as a reporter, foreign correspondent, and senior editor for 25 years at the Washington Post, and has won several awards including the 2003 Pulitzer Prize for history; the 1982 Pulitzer Prize for national reporting; and the 1999 Pulitzer Prize for public service, awarded to the Washington Post for a series of investigative articles directed and edited by Atkinson on shootings by the District of Columbia police department.
