Kirk Cameron is a television and film actor and producer, noted recently for his work in the best-selling documentary Monumental, and the inspirational film Fireproof. He is also known for his memorable roles on ABC’s Growing Pains, the Left Behind movies, and co-host of The Way of the Master television series. Kirk spends much of his time producing new television and film projects and speaking to people around the country, teaching them how to share their faith and live out a gospel centered marriage and family. Kirk and his wife Chelsea are the founders of Camp Firefly, a camp for seriously ill children and their families. Together, they live in California with their six children.

Valerie Elliot Shepard is the only child of Jim and Elisabeth Elliot, missionaries to the Quichua and Auca Indians (now called "Waodani," which means "the people") of the Amazon Jungle. Her father Jim, along with four other men, was speared to death in 1956 as they sought to reach the Aucas with the Gospel. After Jim's death, Elisabeth and Valerie continued to live with the Quichuas until they were invited to live with the tribe that had killed Jim. They ministered to the Aucas for two years as Elisabeth and another missionary, Rachel Saint, learned to speak the language and shared the story of Jesus with them. Many Aucas converted to Christ as a result, abandoning their savage ways. Valerie returned with her mother to the U.S. in 1963, and has been married to Walter Shepard for 36 years. Walt and Valerie have eight children together, whom they have homeschooled, and lead active lives of Christian ministry. They currently reside in Southport, North Carolina.

Gov. Johnson is climbing the highest mountain in South America
Governor Johnson, who has been referred to as the ‘most fiscally conservative Governor’ in the country, was the Republican Governor of New Mexico from 1995-2003. A successful businessman before running for office in 1994, he had grown his firm into one of the largest construction companies in New Mexico with over 1,000 employees. Johnson is best known for his veto record, which includes over 750 vetoes during his time in office, more than all other governors combined and his use of the veto pen has since earned him the nickname “Governor Veto.” He cut taxes 14 times while never raising them when he left office, New Mexico was one of only four states in the country with a balanced budget. Term-limited, Johnson retired from public office in 2003. An avid skier, adventurer, and bicyclist, he has reached the highest peak on four of the seven continents, including Mt. Everest.

An award-winning author and historian, Kevin Belmonte served for six years as the lead historical and script consultant for the major motion picture Amazing Grace. His biography of William Wilberforce has also been taught as part of a course on leadership and character formation at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government, and he is the author of Defiant Joy, a critically acclaimed literary biography of G. K. Chesterton. On several occasions he has served as a script consultant for the BBC, and also for PBS. He resides in New England with his wife, Kelly, and their five-year-old son, Sam.

The Gospel of Yes
Mike Glenn has been a pastor his entire adult career. He served two churches in South Carolina before coming to Nashville in 1991. Originally from Huntsville, Alabama, He graduated from Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama and Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. In addition to being the Senior Pastor of Brentwood Baptist (8000+ members), he also serves as the Teaching Pastor at Kairos, a Tuesday night worship service geared toward young adults. Since it began in 2005, attendance has grown to more than 1,200. His experience of ministering to these young adults for these past several years has redefined his ministry in many ways. He’s published two books, In Real Time: Authentic Young Adult Ministry As it Happens (2009), which tells the story of Kairos, and The Gospel of Yes (2012), helping readers discover the "yes" they're called to in life and learn to live positively in Christ—the ultimate "yes" of God. Mike says, "The power of life is in what we live for not what we live against."
