Mike- I hope you read this as I think 3 points are critical to the abortion issue - 1/ what you said on the show today that the left NEVER talks about is the emotional impact on the mother after an abortion - the guilt, sadness, depression. It is a Major issue 2/ We need to get the left to agree on some definition of when life begins - this is so critical as the supreme Court in r vs W specifically said they would not determine this - because, of course, the baby would be protected by the Constitution when life begins - we know so much more about the complexity, the humanness in the womb, and even when the baby can feel pain - this last point must be driven home 3/ We must get the discussion to point 2 above and away from the woman's "Choice" here - There is another life involved, and the left sure doesn't want to go there - that is why we must!!! We need to point out that we are compassionate about human life and the left is not. Let's not be afraid to use these rational arguments - the left is NOT compassionate at all about abortion.
I'm not normally so sure of myself but I am absolutely convinced these 3 points are the key. Keep plugging on this as it will not go away - you are starting to get a solid following as a voice of reason. Keep it up!!!
Consider this: A woman’s body is a CONDUIT through which an individual is growing from the seeds at conception until nature determines it is time to burst forward into the world. The baby was never a part of her body like a leg, lung or limb with which she can choose to do with whatever she chooses. It is not abortion that women choose rather it is premeditated murder
Just wanted to let you know that there is one company that is standing behind Paula Deen. I am proud to say it is an Alabama company and the publisher of her magazine. They have no plans to stop publishing her magazine and have said that they feel her heartfelt apology should be accepted.
As a nurse that works in a hospital I just want to say that the bill being considered in Texas is a health bill more than any sort of restrictive abortion bill. We must not lose sight if that. As a nurse and mother I have been involved in the delivery of very small babies. There are so many medical implications involved in this procedure. For the sake of both the mother and unborn child I cannot understand why anyone would NOT want policies in place to protect the health and well being of both patients involved here. Thanks for your show!Linda Buchl RN BSN
The issue of abortion comes up frequently on your radio show. I just finished reading "Merchants of Despair: Radical Environmentalists, Criminal Pseudo-Scientists, and the Fatal Cult of Antihumanism" by Dr. Robert Zubrin (pub. April 2012), and it has provided an answer for a conundrum with which I was wrestling for 30 years, namely, what drives the people who advocate abortion and genocide. I highly recommend that all people of faith find the time to read this book. While it doesn't directly deal with religious topics, it defines our common enemy with a clarity that I've never encountered before.
