I hear you about your involvement with Common Core. It's your pet project. Do you not realize how it is out of control since the government implemented it? It may have been a wonderful idea, but it is not now. The Gov't bribed states to put it into the curriculum. Who turns down big money? It is not upto the gov't to list standards for education. That is tyranny, even if the intentions are good. Please re-think your opinion about parents' objections. Many parents have other views that are real and legitimate.

Thank you Gov. Huckabee! You are the only politically connected person I have heard that has made a cogent argument FOR Common Core. I am a retired teacher from OK, and I must say, "it is about time!"
    Sincerely!

Thank you for your belief in OUR COUNTRY. I woke up to Reveille for 20 years in the United States Navy starting a month after graduation from Fairview High in Camden, AR. While living in VA I loved (sarcasm) hearing people complain about the sound of the jets flying overhead (FREEDOM). I agree if you don't like the "noise" or support our troops that VOLUNTEER to put their lives on the line to protect the United States Of America and its citizens, move or better yet move out of the country. If you don't stand behind our troops please feel to stand in front of them!

Dear Governor Huckabee, I am not sure on which shows you expressed the opinion that Ted Cruz and other young Senators were wrong to stand up and oppose ObamaCare because you had concluded THAT was the cause of the government shut-down. I disagree. Obama was absolutely determined to have a government shut down. His had pre-ordered the signs to block entry to open memorials. Obama adamantly refused to consider any negotiation with the Republicans. In my opinion, Ted Cruz, Mike Lee, Marko Rubio and Rand Paul cast a light on the problems with ObamaCare. They stood against the Republican (and Democrat) Establishment and have earned my admiration.

However, none of those above is ready yet to run for President. I agree with Governor Walker that the next President needs to have governed a state. Governor Walker is a man of excellent strength of character, and conviction, as are you. If it were a choice between the two of you, your sense of humor is a great asset. Yes, I've notice that you have been campaigning all these years on FOX News. Your ideas are excellent, and if we could hold House and Senate to implement them, this nation would be the better for it.

Back to my original point, there would have been a government shut down regardless of what a few senators did. The very fact that the House sent a bill to defund ObamaCare, and one to delay it was sufficient excuse for Obama. There is no need to paint people of courage as "foolish". We need more such people. In fact, if the Republicans had stood against it when ObamaCare was first introduced, we might not be in the pickle we are now. It was the RINOs who want to stay cozy with Democrats who allowed this to develop.
