One of my guests for my TBN TV show next weekend will be Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Few national leaders have to deal every day, as he does, with widespread efforts to destroy their nations and slaughter their people. But the Jewish people in that area are not just strong and resilient today, they have a history of being so that goes back many centuries.
We just learned that once again: archeologists digging near the Western Wall plaza in Jerusalem expected to find an old road. Instead, they discovered an ancient Roman theater and a previously-unknown section of the Western Wall, which was then part of a retaining wall protecting the Temple Mount when it housed a Jewish temple. The new find dates back about 1,700 years.
The discovery is being hailed as “surprising,” “exciting” and “sensational.” Although to those who argue that Jerusalem has long been the capital of Israel and should be recognized as such by the world, it’s just “further proof.”
