If you’re frustrated about the double standard that’s always been applied to the Clintons and to Democrats in general, join the club --- and listen with interest to a former assistant FBI director who gladly would be president of that club.

James Kallstrom, who retired from the FBI in 1998, appeared on FOX News’ “Varney & Company” to accuse members of the Obama Administration and the Democratic Party --- in particular, Hillary Clinton --- of crimes “20 times bigger than Watergate.”

Articles of impeachment filed

By Mike Huckabee

Tennessee Rep. Steve Cohen led a group of fellow Democrats yesterday in formally filing articles of impeachment against President Trump, which could best be compared to doing for their base what the trainers at Sea World do when they toss chum to the seals. They seem to have started with the premise on Election Day that they’re really bummed that Trump won, so let’s impeach him. But they overlooked the part of the Constitution that requires some kind of actual reasons, such as “high crimes and misdemeanors.” So their grounds range from non-crimes (he fired FBI Director James Comey, which he has the power to do) to the bizarre (Trump illegally profits from his office because the Secret Service rents golf carts from Trump courses to follow him when he plays).

This stuff probably goes over big with the contingent of far-left constituents who believe that if Trump is impeached, Hillary will become President because she came in second. But more informed voters might be starting to suspect that Steven King movies aren’t the only place these days where you can find dangerous clowns.

Twitter tear

By Mike Huckabee

Something to bear in mind when you hear so many Senators roar that Roy Moore is not moral enough to be allowed into the hallowed halls of the Senate: as bad as things look for Moore, he’s still only accused, not convicted. So you’d think that if a Senator were actually convicted by a jury on a dozen counts of corruption, his colleagues would demand that he resign from his sacred Senate post immediately...

Biden for President

By Mike Huckabee

There’s a new poll out claiming that if Joe Biden ran for President in 2020, he would beat President Trump by double digits. Of course, polls before the last election claimed that Hillary would beat him by double digits, too. The poll takers also probably didn’t mention that like so many current leaders of the Democratic Party, Biden would be older when he took office than Reagan was when he left office. Or that he has a tendency to say unfortunate things that has not stopped since he left the Vice Presidency. In fact, his mouth is sometimes the equivalent of firing off a double-barreled shotgun.

New Mexico Democrat arrested for stalking

By Mike Huckabee

David Alcon, a Democratic candidate for New Mexico’s 2nd Congressional District, has been arrested for allegedly stalking a woman and sending her text messages that he was watching her and was outside her apartment. He was previously convicted on a similar stalking charge in 2007. On his campaign website, he describes himself as “the liberal you can trust.” Well, at least you can trust that he’ll always be there for you.

Huck's Hero salute

A big Huck’s Hero salute to Samuel Williams of Ocala, Florida. He was in an Internet café when two young armed robbers came in brandishing a pistol and a baseball bat. They probably never imagined that the 71-year-old Williams, who was just sipping coffee and using his laptop, was also a concealed carry permit holder with a .38-caliber handgun, which he proceeded to whip out faster than Marshal Dillon and put to use. The thugs will survive, but they’ll probably never again assume that septuagenarian web geeks are easy targets

I have been following you for many years and wanted you to be president, when you were running. It is refreshing to have a fellow Christian involved like you in politics. I have myself taken a stand on the Roy Moore issue and I feel that he has been convicted in the press, but he never got a fair trial in a court, which the Constitution calls for. I am just one of these small pastors who never made the big circuits, but if you have the time to just check me out, here is my website May God bless you and your family. I think that your daughter Sarah is doing a great job at the White House.
