Hillary Clinton a "master and savior"?

August 11, 2017

Hillary Clinton’s longtime pastor has told CNN that Hillary now expresses an interest in preaching. Far be it from me to discourage anyone who feels called by the Lord (or, in this case, to make any predictable, too-easy attempts at humor), but the Rev. Dr. William S. Shillady said something else in that same interview that does cry out for comment.

He said that when he woke up on the morning after the election, he felt the way he supposed the Apostles felt on Good Friday. “Their leader, master and savior was dead and gone and they didn’t know what to do.”

Really? Rev. Shillady, I realize you are close to Hillary Clinton and that perhaps you were at a loss when she didn’t get to claim her expected victory. But do you actually think of her as a “leader, master and savior”? Were you as devastated at Hillary’s electoral loss as the Apostles must have been after Jesus was crucified and his body placed in the tomb? If you can search your soul and still feel that way, you have my prayers.

In the endtimes it will be very, very difficult to discern the Christians from the gentiles, or anti-christs.

She should be afraid, VERY afraid. Of all the people on this earth, she should be one of the last to be compared in ANY way to my Jesus.

This comment from Hillary's pastor explains why he would consider her to be a good preacher. He has no sense of what the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus means. To compare her to Jesus in stature or likeness is more than absurd, it is an abomination. God's word does promise us to become Christlike but only when we lay ourselves down in complete humility, turning away from former things to become cloaked in his righteousness alone and become formed in his likeness through the power of his Holy Spirit. If only Hillary was taught the true meaning of the Gospel.

Perhaps Rev. Shillady was falling into that trap President Trump has so eloquently expressed: "worshipping government instead of worshipping God".
