After two years of special counsel nonsense and the sinking feeling that justice will never prevail, we’re finally seeing some of Robert Mueller’s targets and witnesses fighting back, vigorously.  By far the most heartening of these is the President of the United States himself, who is starting to talk tough.

This travesty of “justice” has been going on for so long, with seemingly no limitations, that I know many of my readers have thrown up their hands and given up thinking there will ever be anything but a two-tiered system of justice.  “Why doesn’t the President DO something??” is the common lament.  “I have no hope that Hillary will ever pay for anything she’s done,” is another.  Some are so disgusted (or confused, or bored) that they don’t even want to think about it any more.

Flake can't leave soon enough

By Mike Huckabee

Outgoing Arizona Sen. Jeff Flake illustrated why he’s outgoing by attempting to hold GOP agenda items hostage during the final days of Republican control of Congress unless the Senate passed a bill preventing President Trump from being able to fire special counsel Robert Mueller.  Joining with two Democrats, Flake called for a unanimous consent vote on the measure, and Utah Sen. Mike Lee scuttled it by rising in opposition.

What you’ll mostly hear in the media will be a lot of outrage and spin, so go to the link and read Lee’s perfectly sound reasons for why this effort was unconstitutional and in violation of the separation of powers.  In a nutshell, Congress cannot tell the President that he’s not allowed to fire someone that the Constitution clearly gives him the power to fire. That would have the effect of turning Mueller’s investigation team into an unaccountable fourth branch of government, and they’re already acting too much like that now.

There’s also the minor side issue that Trump’s let Mueller go on this long and never even tried to fire him.  Plus Flake’s citing of Trump’s tweets complaining about Mueller as justification to try to restrain his executive powers implies that he doesn’t think the President even has a First Amendment right to free speech.  To that I would reply, “Flake off.”

Daniels turns on Avenatti

By Mike Huckabee

Porn star Stormy Daniels is apparently turning against her attorney Michael Avenatti.  Daniels told NBC that Avenatti filed that disastrous defamation suit against President Trump against her wishes.  She claims that he’s not shown her the respect and deference an attorney should show to a client, including speaking on her behalf without her approval, refusing to tell her how her legal defense fund was being spent, and launching a new fundraiser without her consent, using her face and name without permission and attributing words to her that she never said.  Avenatti responded that there were a number of things in her statement that were not accurate, but didn’t specify them.

Well, this is a real conundrum.  Who are we supposed to believe: a sleazy exhibitionist who does disgusting things in front of cameras for money, or the porn star?

Another flop from Ocasio-Cortez

By Mike Huckabee

Representative-elect Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez just keeps on hitting easy pop flies to her critics. This time, she tweeted a letter to illustrate how greedy insurance companies would let a patient die if she can’t raise funds to pay for a heart transplant.  Problem: the letter clearly isn’t from an insurance company.  It’s from a medical clinic that largely operates on charity, and it’s informing the patient that she needs to have a minimum of $10,000 to cover the anti-rejection drugs that aren’t covered by Medicare – which is the government program she wants to expand to all of us.  So, thanks, I guess for the vivid illustration of why we should avoid that.

Democrats nominate Pelosi

By Mike Huckabee

Despite all the Democratic candidates insisting that they would not support Nancy Pelosi and would demand a fresh face (sorry), on Wednesday, Democrats nominated Pelosi as Speaker in a closed-door caucus election in which she ran unopposed.  She’ll still need 218 votes in the full House to win back the gavel, but do you seriously think there’s any possibility that anyone else has the slightest chance of toppling her?

Here’s a story about it:

And here’s my reaction, captured on video:

Leftist narrative gutted

By Mike Huckabee

We hear the outcry constantly: More guns result in more crime and violence!  Allowing concealed carry will lead to bloody confrontations, more accidental shootings and the return of the Wild West!  Well, quite a few states have done it anyway, and the effects on crime and violence rates are starting to trickle in. Turns out there’s a reason why it’s said that the Wild West was tamed by the Winchester Model 1873 lever-action rifle and the Colt Single Action Army pistol.

What is so funny about the photo is that the person holding the pistol has obviously never had training on the proper handling of a firearm.
As you know, the finger NEVER is on the trigger until you are ready to shoot.

Mrs. Pelosi most likely will become the house Speaker again, God help us all. About the only thing one could say about Nancy Pelosi, is I do not know for sure who is more obsessed with having more power, Nancy or Hillery?

My thoughts about Trump leaving the Judicial process go on as it does I hope the reason is to let the Mueller and the rest of the Obama Crime Family carry on with the idea of getting rid of the current President was to let them expose the activity of the FBI CIA Justice Dept. all that used the power of these agencies to rid the Americans of our President by lying about the phony accusations that has cost us so much money time and the distractions that plagued our country of getting the important things done Immigration health care more tax cuts for the middle the list is long the nations security is being undermined by the these agencies more so than Russia, the President I think have given them enough rope it may be time to yank it very hard. America should see what these rats have been chewing on for the last 2 years Its time for some D con, orange suits, and they now can have their own security system;,walls have already been built to house these rats give them 20 years to chew their way out. Oh by the way no early outs!!!

Pelosi needs to go back to her own "house." In other words, she needs to do the country a favor and retire.
