Three-star general and President Trump’s original choice for national security advisor Michael Flynn was railroaded.

Railroaded, set up, entrapped, framed, every synonym listed in Roget’s Thesaurus. Very deliberately. That’s the only conclusion I can reach after reading Byron York’s shocking story in the Washington Examiner, which appears on the same day Gen. Flynn is scheduled to be sentenced. As bad as everything the FBI, special counsel and Democratic leadership have done, and are continuing to do, to accomplish their goal of deposing Trump, the treatment of Flynn may rank as the sorriest abuse of the Constitution to date. And that’s saying a lot.

This is not supposed to happen in the United States of America, and it is intolerable.

My take on the Gen. Flynn case, plus important updates

By Laura Ainsworth, Staff writer

After spending Wednesday afternoon becoming increasingly angry from reading Byron York’s story on the entrapment of retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, I happened to go out to see a special showing of the classic movie musical WHITE CHRISTMAS on a big screen.  The movie, with music by Irving Berlin, was made in 1954, so it reflects that period of time when World War II was still close in people’s memories.  (Irving Berlin had such a long life and career, he wrote music inspired by both world wars.)

To set the scene, it’s been ten years since a beloved general’s retirement, and his men pull off a surprise celebration for him, complete with a big show.  One of the songs opens like this:

What can you do with a general...when he stops being a general?

Oh, what can you do with a general who retires?

Guess who "investigated" the Clinton Foundation?

By Mike Huckabee

FOX News analyst Gregg Jarrett, in an appearance on Hannity Tuesday evening, said something stunning.  The panel was having a discussion about questions surrounding the Clinton Foundation and other Clinton corruption, including what we know about Hillary’s role in funding the unverified Steele dossier, when Jarrett dropped this little bombshell:

“You know, one has always wondered why the Clinton Foundation wasn’t seriously investigated, not to mention Hillary and Bill Clinton, at the same time they were investigating the Russians over this extortion, bribery, money laundering, etc.  Well, it turns out there were four people who were in charge of that investigation:  Robert Mueller, James Comey, Andrew Weissmann and Rod Rosenstein.”

Not even a crime

By Mike Huckabee

At the link, Bradley A. Smith explains that what Michael Cohen pleaded guilty to isn’t even a crime, nor is what he claims President Trump did in using his own money to pay off an accuser to go away a campaign finance violation.  In fact, if a businessman really wanted to be unscrupulous, he would’ve used campaign funds to pay off his accusers, then just dropped out of the race.  Or, I might personally add, he would have set up a slush fund to pay off his accusers with taxpayer money, the way some Congress members who are now demanding Trump’s impeachment did.

Smith says that pressuring Cohen with threats of prison to get him to plead guilty to non-crimes, then trying to make his plea somehow binding on President  Trump, is a “threat to our democracy and rule of law” that Trump should fight ferociously.

And what does Bradley A. Smith know about campaign finance laws, compared to the wisdom of all those cable news talking heads and late night comics/DNC house jesters?  Nobody special; he's just the former chairman of the Federal Election Commission.

Pentagon echoes Trump

By Mike Huckabee

When Rep. Nancy Pelosi suddenly grew a sense of thriftiness with taxpayer money and declared it too expensive, immoral even, to spend $5 billion on a wall to secure our Southern border, President Trump responded that he could always order the military to build it.  Cue the usual round of ridicule from the media about how Trump doesn’t understand how the government or the Constitution work.

That went on for about 24 hours before the Pentagon issued a statement.  In short, it said: Yep, Trump is perfectly within his powers to order the Department of Defense to build the wall, as part of his duty as Commander-in-Chief to stop drug traffickers and act to protect the US in a national emergency (you probably assumed that was the job of federal judges.) That led Democratic Rep. Adam Smith of Washington to declare that he would press Congress to bar Trump from using the military to build a wall. Of course, he’d have to get that bill through the GOP Senate, and then overcome Trump’s veto, and then get the SCOTUS to uphold a bill that’s plainly unconstitutional.

Hey, wait: I thought it was Trump who didn’t understand how the government or the Constitution work?

Best gift book of Christmas

By Mike Huckabee

Here’s a scary sign for the health of the publishing industry, and for literacy in general: Barnes and Noble released its annual list of the 20 best holiday gift ideas.  It includes mittens, a Buddha board, Mickey Mouse speakers, several kinds of socks…and only one book.

Even worse, it suggests that the people at Barnes & Noble don’t even know what the best gift book of Christmas 2018 really is:

Who is going to fund the wall on the moon. The Chinese are launching surveyors of the dark side of the moon, which is ALWAYS HIDDEN from earth "watching." What would be the perfect place to build all kinds of military facilities that is not presently decently monitored from the earth...the "dark-side" of the moon. Whoever controls the moon militarily controls the earth. We and our "tech-savvy enemies" have lasers now that can pin-point targets on earth, and easily destroy whatever they hit at the speed of light. ALL missiles fired from earth are easier than shooting fish in a glass bowl with laser targeted and fired from the moon. I could present many more ideas should get the idea from what I've written so far.
