The Supreme Court rejected an appeal by Planned Parenthood of an Arkansas law that requires doctors who provide so-called “abortion pills” to have a contract with another physician who has admitting privileges at a hospital and would agree to handle and treat any complications. Planned Parenthood argued that this will put an “undue burden” on women seeking medically-induced abortions.

There are two such drugs, one that makes it hard for the fetus to attach to the uterine wall and another that causes the body to expel the fetus, similar to a miscarriage. Wait, so the result of taking these pills is similar to a miscarriage, and Planned Parenthood wants doctors to be able to hand them out when they aren’t prepared to get the woman into a hospital quickly if there are any complications? Is it really an “undue burden” to expect doctors who prescribe risky drugs to have some plan in effect for treating the possible complications? Or does Planned Parenthood think there’s no such thing as a miscarriage with complications? Otherwise, it’s hard to understand how an organization that claims to be all about protecting women’s health would willingly expose women to something that risky without a medical back-up plan in place.

Well, it’s hard to understand unless the organization claims to be all about women’s health but is really more concerned with performing as many abortions as possible.

Firstly, Sarah is my hero, you and yours have raised a very lovely daughter. Once again the irresponsible leftist PP has no real concern for the unsuspecting souls that they "treat" or should I say mistreat. Their only real concern is to make others do what they want and how they want. This is the purpose of the left. Sadly how many lives has this tantrum cost us and how many depressed and hurt survivors????? God Bless you and all who have worked so hard to save our very souls........

Planned parenthood has no interest in women's welfare. They're only interested in getting their hands on the aborted fetuses to sell body parts.

One step in the right direction for unborn babies. The answer is not abortion but birth control! if you can't be responsible don't have sex! Simply solution.

Roe-v-Wade is archaic at best... an overload of information out there to prevent unwanted pregnancies and the fathers should have a say so...As I have always stated: raped? take a pill; incest? take a pill; Forgot to use protection or unsure? take a pill. If done within 72 hours, not a problem.

I'm not clear on what this now means. Did the Supreme Court essentially rule that Doctors who give out these pills do need to have a hospital plan in place in case something does go wrong? Please clarify.

60,000,000 abortions and counting. I can't believe God is happy about this.

Thank goodness!! I love seeing PP defeated!! Here in Iowa we just passed the 6 weeks, heartbeat bill!! Of course PP is filing suit. Hopefully this Supreme Court case will act as precedent.

BTW, has anyone ever called a PP facility and asked to schedule a mammogram or pap smear? Can't even get a prescription for birth control pills. So much for women's health!!!

While I pray for NO abortions, I'm glad to see PP defeated on any level.

I appreciate your commentary. This is excellent news. We need to bring more education to the harm abortion causes women. It has been understated for far too long. While I believe abortion is murder, while our country allows it, keep the women as safe as possible.
