Sounds like one who has never grown a garden. Look up the concept of crop rotation. It prevents soils from being depleted.

I love cauliflower. One of my favorite vegetables. But I also love broccoli, and roasted carrots, and corn ~ all of which are vegetables of color. Is that allowed?
Being raised on a farm, i learned very early in life that in order to sustain the integratity of the land, you rotate the crops. Farmers have been doing this since the beginning of time, (God's time, Genesis). I suggest Miss Cortez visits a farm and learns what is done on the land. Have you folks ever heard of crop rotation? It's standard practice in agriculture to take care of the soil so it will (and does) provide good crops for centuries. It's not racist to plant things that you like and that sell. If it's your space, plant whatever you want.
