Our Daily Verse...

--------------------------

The State Department (as in, the TRUMP State Department) is in the process of conducting an internal review of security protocols that were violated in the handling of Hillary Clinton’s emails. The review isn’t yet complete, but they’ve just released a progress report that shows quite a number of security violations.

So far, they’ve written up 15 people for breaking the rules. We don’t know who they are, because the Department itself would be breaking a rule by publicly naming them. I can think of several off the top of my head who are almost certainly included, but a number as high as 15 means there are more people involved than we knew about. Some of them –- I’m assuming the ones who are still working there; that’s an unknown number –- got write-ups placed in their security files, and it was reported that this could affect their ability to get security clearances in the future. Goodness, one would hope so.

FEATURED STORIES

Multiple violations

By Mike Huckabee

The State Department revealed Monday that it had found “23 violations and 7 infractions incidents” related to mishandling of Hillary Clinton’s classified emails, and that “the Department has assessed culpability to 15 individuals, some of whom were culpable in multiple security incidents.”

https://www.westernjournal.com/state-dept-reports-finding-23-violations-security-protocols-related-hillary-clintons-emails/

Two questions immediately come to mind:

1.  Only 23 violations?  (That one was answered: “This number will likely change as the review progresses.”)

2.  Are any of the people who were found culpable for mishandling Hillary Clinton’s classified emails named “Hillary Clinton”?  (I assume the answer to that one is “no,” but I’m sincerely hoping the more precise answer will be “not yet.”)

The right temperament to be President?

By Mike Huckabee

Don’t look now, but the same political party that claims Donald Trump doesn’t have the “temperament” to be President has a frontrunner who just suggested he might have to enact his agenda by starting “a brass knuckle fight” or even a “real physical revolution.”

https://www.westernjournal.com/ct/biden-says-brass-knuckle-fights-sometimes-necessary-floats-idea-physical-revolution/

As this piece notes, that would be considered over-the-top rhetoric by any politician, but when you’re running for the Presidential nomination of a Party whose members are known for physically assaulting people who exercise free speech they don’t like or even wear the “wrong” cap or T-shirt in public – a party whose adherents have taken their leaders' violent eliminationist rhetoric as cues to shoot up the office of the Family Research Center and nearly murder a Republican Congressman at a charity baseball practice – then it should be disqualifying.  At the very least, it should spark severe condemnation by the same media that tried to blame the Gabby Giffords shooting on Sarah Palin just because her PAC had run some political ads with crosshair symbols on Congressional districts.

Want to bet that in this case, it will be praised as “feistiness”?

An invitation to AOC

By Mike Huckabee

I try not to comment on every ridiculous, uninformed bubble of babble that drops out of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s mouth because (A.) I’m too nice and (B.) there are only 24 hours in a day. But this one went so far over the line of decency, it deserves widespread public condemnation.

In her zeal to attack our immigration authorities who are forced to deal with an unprecedented crisis at the border created by her own Party’s policies and stubborn refusal to do their job, AOC declared:

“The U.S. is running concentration camps on our southern border and that is exactly what they are… ‘Never Again’ means something…”

DOJ stops Manafort transfer to Rikers, but he still faces state charges

By Mike Huckabee

The report in The New York Times that former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort would be transferred to RIKERS ISLAND, a notorious maximum-security prison considered to be one of the very worst in the U.S., to await trial on state charges in New York came out on June 4. But since then, it’s been challenging to find out the status of his case.

Reporters love to break stories, but they can be terrible on follow-up. We never saw any reports of his actual transfer, which was originally scheduled, I think, for the Thursday following the announcement and surely would have made big news. Yet we didn't hear about any efforts being made to keep him out of there, either. It all must have been played very close to the vest.

Other news you might have missed...

Yesterday, I put out the call for suggestions for a reelection campaign slogan for President Trump, and I tossed out “Keep America Great.” So either I’m psychic or Trump reads my newsletter because that was the exact slogan he said he’s leaning toward at his campaign kickoff rally in Orlando Tuesday.

https://www.foxnews.com/opinion/deroy-murdock-heres-what-trumps-re-election-campaign-slogan-should-be

To be honest, I meant it just as an example.  At the link above, Deroy Murdock points out what he thinks is a flaw in it and suggests another slogan that I have to agree is better.  If Trump switches to that slogan tomorrow, then we’ll assume he really does read this newsletter and take my advice.

Incidentally, I also suggested as an example of a slogan for the Democrats, “MAVA: Make America Venezuela Already.”  I would be even more thrilled if they really adopted that one.

Would you like to know how Joe Biden would end the terrible scourge of income inequality?  Well, he’s willing to tell you.  All it takes is a $2800 donation to his Manhattan fundraiser.

https://www.westernjournal.com/ct/biden-talks-income-inequality-2800-head-manhattan-fundraiser/

Well, you must admit, it did leave a lot of rich people a little poorer.  Wealth redistributed!

 ----------------------------------

The Orlando Sentinel said it would endorse anyone but Trump for President.  Okay, here’s an option for them: meet the Libertarian contender who’s running on a promise to dissolve the entire federal government on day one, then resign.

https://www.westernjournal.com/ct/2020-candidates-different-approach-freedom-eliminate-federal-government/

I know that sounds crazy, but he’s talking about dissolving it through bankruptcy, so if we elect any of the Democrats running, the results will probably be just about the same.

--------------------------------------

A reminder: while House Democrats flood the Potomac with crocodile tears for all the illegal entrants held in overcrowded detention centers (or as AOC offensively and ridiculously calls them, “concentration camps”), they’ve not only blocked all efforts to boost border security to reduce the flow of migrants, they have also blocked Republican attempts to provide $4.5 billion in humanitarian aid for them.  To be precise, they’ve blocked it over a dozen times.

https://www.westernjournal.com/ct/gop-tries-help-humanitarian-border-crisis-hypocrite-dems-refuse-dozen-times/

Why would they do that?  One would have to be awfully cynical to think it’s because Trump wants it, and they’d rather stymie Trump and blame him for the migrants’ suffering than give Trump what he wanted and help them.  Surely, there must be some other logical reason.  Maybe they just hate spending the taxpayers’ money?  No, that can’t be it…

Ref bloviatin' Joe Biden's $2800 fund raiser, yes, it re-distributes wealth, and as is so often the case, it redistributes wealth from their pocket to Joe's.

Governor, thank you so much for all the important information you provide daily at this site. First of all, a lot of us don't have time to search all the different sites for factual reporting. Second, a lot of us don't want to. With the insight and humor provided here, plus the links to further information, I have had enough to fill my day, and my time. I also wanted to comment on Sarah's leaving her post at the White House. She did a wonderful job, and will be missed. Many are calling her to go into politics. I would venture to say she already has the most important calling, wife and mother. Her influence at home will make a vital difference to this country. Raising her children to be good, honest citizens who respect this country, and love God - this is a full-time job, and there is no greater calling. We should leave her alone, and let her pray about and decide what she thinks God wants her to do in the future. Just wanted to thank you, and your family for all your service to this country.

Mike, love your commentary,it's a breath of fresh air compared to the rank odor of the MSM.One question tho;Why do you use the NIV for Bible quotes? What's wrong with the good old KJV?Not a criticism mind you, just curious.

And BTW,you need to stop posting comments for the 'gentleman'(HAH!) who keeps referring to your dughter Sarah as a [email protected]!There's enough liberal nonsense available every where else,we don't need it here as well. And as to that "gentleman"(or maybe you prefer gentleperson of zhe or it or whatever)just keep running your mouth and calling people you don't know whatever filthy name comes to mind. But don't be surprised when you find out that free speech isn't free.
