Does The ELECTORAL COLLEGE Need To Go?

The great sage, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, apparently didn't take Civics so she wants to get rid of the Electoral College. The college we need to close is the one who gave her a degree! She won't watch this but I sure hope you will. The Electoral College is good for Democrats and Republicans and it is good for America.

    Ms. AOC is the reflection of the nowadays Democrats, liberalism which it does not belong in America. Perhaps, it would help her to go to Venezuela or Cuba (please stay) as a regular "gal" not favor from the government and live there for a month and write an essay if you can about what you learned. I dare you!!!!!

    Dear Mr. Huckabee
    for the life of me I don't understand how four woman ever got voted into congress. It frightens me that such individuals could be where they are. Are these Obama left overs? I really feel we are in trouble. Pelosi and Shumer have gone crazy also. Everyone hates trump but I feel he is one of the best Presidents we have ever had. Yes! he has his moments but he is good and cares. Who knows what craziness we face in the future! Carol Waldow

    Might have missed this, but why did AG Barr decide not to prosecute Comey for exonerating Clinton.
    Is he adding that crime to a bigger list which will be more damaging to him? Or what??

    Thank you for explaining this. I never took civics in school and I believe it should be mandatory. If Sarah runs for president in 2024 I will make call for her to win. She is the strongest , smartest woman in politics today. Machelle just has her husband and Oprah. God is greater than them all.

    We should do away with the Electoral College, but not electoral votes, especially in the wake of the recent court ruling in CO. Electoral votes should be awarded by congressional district rather than statewide vote. The extra two votes in each state can be determined by statewide popular vote or better yet selected by the state legislature.

    The founders intended that the states be represented as well as the people and the states are represented by their own Electoral College Votes. This is one of the two ways the founders intended for state representation to happen. The popular federal vote is for We the People to choose our candidate. The Electoral College vote is the only remaining way for the state to be represented.

    The states that are giving away their Electoral votes to the popular vote winner are actually giving away their own representation in the Federal government. We already lost the first method of state representation by throwing away the state's election of Senators with the 17th Amendment, which should be repealed.

    This action by the states is not only foolish, but also unconstitutional. The Constitution, through Article IV Section IV specifically mandates that the federal government maintain and protect a republican form of government in each state. This places the responsibility upon the Executive Branch only.

    This move to abolish the Electoral College and the movement to give the state Electoral votes to the winner of the popular vote, is both pure ignorance and pure evil. It turns the state into a democracy, where the winner takes all. It dilutes the true votes of the citizens. This is not representation, but mob rule.

    Two things need to happen. They both fall under the jurisdiction of A.G. Barr and President Trump as he is the CEO of the Executive branch, and he is charged with protecting our republican form of government and also charged with protecting and defending our God-given rights, and protecting and defending our borders, as is A.G. Barr.

    President Trump should direct A.G. Barr to do these two things.

    1. Direct all 50 State Attorneys General to tell the Governors and Mayors that it is unconstitutional to give away the last remaining state representation and that he will take direct action against any person in office who participates in any scheme to do such thing and he will do it with criminal prosecution and removal from office. The states must retain their own representation. And the 17th Amendment must be repealed.

    2. Direct all 50 State Attorneys General to tell all Governors and Mayors that it breaks Federal law to allow federal election votes to be counted from any state that has, under the Governor's direction, been declared a Sanctuary State—or any state that has any Mayor who claims that their city is a sanctuary city. This also violates Federal Election Law and Article IV Section IV.

    A.G. Barr should clearly define a republican form of government as that of a form of government governed by laws and the elections of representatives who are charged with representing all of the groups within their jurisdiction, according to our Constitution and Declaration of Independence as our founding document. It is the Declaration that states the requirement for abiding by the rights given us by God and for protecting those same rights and also the right of the people to overthrow any form of government that denies those God-given rights to WE the People/

    Counting votes from alien migrants is illegal and unconstitutional, as the constitution is meant to bind the government down with chains, and to charge the government with only the protection of our God Given rights and to operate only in the jurisdictions of that foundation of the Declaration of Independence and by the Constitution. btw Stare Decisis is not what our founders intended, that is, government creeping up on taking our rights away according to wrongful SCOTUS opinions. Again, the protection of our God-given rights is the sole purpose of government. That text is in the Declaration of Independence. The Declaration is our Foundation. Period. Not court rulings. Not Stare Decisis.

    And as far as declaring their complete jurisdiction over immigration, the A.G. and Trump should declare to the courts that there is NO jurisdiction in Article III for courts at any level to rule and reign over borders and immigration law. That is the jurisdiction, aka 1952 Immigration law and the following adjustment to that law, in which the Legislature gave authority to the President to do as he sees fit to keep any group of persons, from any area in the world for any reason, and for any length of time, OUT of the country. And that folks, is all there is. The courts must be put in there place. The Mayors and Governors must be put in there place.

    Losing our constitutional representation through picking apart Federal election laws must be stopped, forcibly if necessary. The Executive Branch needs to learn to Just Say NO. NO farther shall you go.

    Honestly, I've known how important it is but couldn't have explained it to anyone like you just did, now I can...

    Thank you for your common sense stand for all things government and your faithful stand for our America.

    I wish people didn't think of you as just a Pastor, and would understand how great a background that would be for President.
    I still believe with my whole heart that you are the perfect American to be leader of our country. I'm assuming that you you won't run again, but I hope and pray that you will try again with a very strong message that cuts through the bull that people hear why you couldn't be a great leader and God changes their hearts to understand the truth.

    Yes, it needs to go as soon as possible, The Electoral College is responsible for the election of the two worst worst presidents in US history , Trump and G.W. Bush as the second worst . And even more importantly, TRUMP must go as soon as possible , before he destroys not only America but the entire planet earth with his abysmal stupidity and gross incompetence .
    Because of the Electoral College, Hillary Clinton, who is infinitely better qualified to be president than Trump and who won the popular vote by three million is not sitting in the White House .
    This was without a doubt the worst missed opportunity in US history . We could have had a highly intelligent, capable, experienced , sane, rational and good woman as president, but we are now stuck with the most corrupt and incompetent president in US history . I fear for America with Trump in the White House, and so do the millions of other Americans who weren't stupid enough to vote for him . It's about to hit the fan . . . . . . .

    Thanks Governor, Love your show and interesting guests. Certainly lifts my spirits to see patriots like you are speaking out for the real Americans in this country. I have also reached out to my representatives on the many issues we are concerned about. It's almost a full time job to introduce some legislators to common sense but I want them to know it is not dead in the real world.

    The Electoral College should remain in tact. This is the check & balance system the forefathers set up so one particular party could not take over the US. This is what makes America great having this check & balance system in place. Without it we would become a Socialist(Nazi) nation.
