Today's Edition: 7 minute read
Over the past few days, I suspect that the Democrats and the media (but I repeat myself) have had to keep ramping up the “Trump and everyone who voted for him are all white nationalist racist mass murderers!!!” rhetoric just to drown out all the gaffes coming from Joe Biden. This week, Uncle Joe has been a regular Pez dispenser of foot-in-mouth quotes. Some were simple slips of the tongue, while others would have ended the campaigns of any Republican who blurted them out (“Poor kids are just as bright and just as talented as white kids.”)
Since I wrote about this just yesterday, Biden has done it three more times. First, in reference to recently-departed British Prime Minister Theresa May, he said “Margaret Thatcher,” who left office in 1990 and died six years ago. He made a similar gaffe just a few months ago.
Then while moving through an Iowa State Fair crowd, a college co-ed asked Biden, “How many genders are there?” He replied, “There are at least three.” When she asked, “What are they?” he seemed to get angry, grabbed her arm and gave a response that you can see on video at the link. As you can also see, the young woman is not at all happy about being grabbed by Joe Biden, another story that tends to repeat itself.
And now, he’s done it yet again, big-time. In telling an Iowa crowd how he plans to pay for his proposed big government programs, Biden said this:
“By eliminating just a few of the tax cuts…I’m going to eliminate mostly all of them, but a few of the tax cuts we can – No, you think I’m joking, I’m not. If you know anything about me and taxes.”
Up until recently, and the rise of the open, in-your-face socialist/“progressive” wing of the Party, the Democrats always made it a point to tell us that their proposed big government programs would just require raising someone else’s taxes: “the rich.” Only after they were elected did middle class voters discover that THEY were “the rich.” It made for a great slogan: “Elect Democrats and everyone will be rich!”
But Joe just told them that not only will he eliminate the tax cuts most everyone enjoyed, but that he LOVES raising taxes more than Trump loves winning. This is the deadliest kind of “gaffe” in politics: the kind where a politician opens his mouth and accidentally tells voters what he really thinks.

Breaking News: Billionaire pedophile Jeffrey Epstein has been found hanged to death in his Manhattan cell, just 24 hours after his files were unsealed, revealing unsavory allegations against prominent people and Democratic politicians (most of whom have already denied them) and oddly enough, two weeks after he was placed on “suicide watch.” Apparently, it was not a very close watch.
There are more details at the link. We’ll talk more about this next week, but my immediate prediction is that it will spark a lot of suspicions and conspiracy theories, and that you’ll see the word “suicide” in quotation marks an awful lot in the coming weeks.

Are you lonesome tonight? Then tune in to “Huckabee” on TBN and get all shook up by our annual salute to Elvis on the 42nd anniversary (it can’t be 42 years, can it?!) of his passing on August 16, 1977. He was only 42 when he died, which means it’s now been as many years since he left us as he had on this Earth. But what an impact he had in just 42 short years!
Of course, we’ll also have plenty of news and commentary on the big issues of the day. Dennis Prager will discuss his new documentary with Adam Carolla, “No Safe Spaces,” about the war on free speech on campus. You’ll hear the incredible life story of a Huck’s Hero who overcame a tragic childhood to become Miss California and one of America’s leading advocates for foster children. David and Jackie Siegel will tell how the shocking death of their teenage daughter inspired them to walk away from a billion-dollar business to fight opioid abuse. We’ll visit “Our Kind of Town,” and laugh at the news “In Case You Missed It” and the hilarious stand-up comedy of Mark Christopher Lawrence. Then we’ll top it off with a special salute to Elvis by his friend and country music legend, T.G. Sheppard.
All that and more is coming tonight on “Huckabee” on TBN, at 8 and 11 EST, 7 and 10 CST, and the same times on Sunday. Just visit https://www.tbn.org/huckabee and click on the “WATCH” menu at the top to find all the ways to watch, from local cable and broadcast channels to streaming. You can also stream full episodes of previous shows and see highlights and web exclusives, like extended interviews and online-only musical and comedy performances, all at that same website.

A big thank-you and salute to former DNC Chair Donna Brazile, who showed grace and wisdom that many in her Party and the media would do well to emulate. She refused to join in the jihad to brand President Trump as a racist and lay personal blame on him for mass shootings. Ms Brazile called that a “blame game” and said the President “had nothing to do with these shootings.” She told Fox News Radio’s Guy Benson:
“This is unbecoming of a country. The President of United States, you know, should not be blamed for, you know, these individual killers…What we have to hold each other responsible for is our tone. We all have to set a tone. We need to set a tone for our kids, for our future, for the values that we share as Americans. And, you know, we like these gotcha questions. Hey, are you a racist or you — I don’t like that. I’m black, yes I’m black. That’s who I am, but that’s not everything. You don’t know anything else about me other than the color of my skin. That’s not how we should do it.”

Yet more proof of why watching MSNBC to learn the news is like watching the Cartoon Network to learn to tune your car.
I’ve long suspected that many top Democrats think every jot and comma of federal laws should be stringently applied to Republicans, but never to their side (as was noted this week, Robert Mueller might be facing charges for lying to Congress if he were held to the same standards that his team applied to Trump associates like Michael Flynn - and let's not even get started on Hillary Clinton!) But we owe a debt of gratitude to Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for arguing that a law liberals went to court to insist applies to President Trump doesn’t apply to her. You don’t often get rank hypocrisy illustrated that clearly in a formal court document.
