Today's Edition

Today is a date that will live in infamy, but also in the annals of heroism.

On the morning of September 11th, 2001, our nation awoke to the shocking news that we were under savage attack by Islamic jihadists who, before the day was over, would kill nearly 3,000 people in New York, Pennsylvania and Washington. The attack was aimed at America, but because it focused on the World Trade Center, the victims were from many nations. But as much as that day displayed the cowardice and animalistic behavior of the terrorists, it also showcased the heroism and selflessness of so many Americans, from the NYPD cops and firefighters rushing toward danger to save others to people in cities across America standing in line for blocks to donate blood. Petty differences like race or politics were swept aside as we all came together like family, because our nation was under attack.

Those of us who lived through it can scarcely believe it was 18 years ago, as the painful memories are forever seared into our minds. But we now have colleges filled with students who have no personal memories of 9/11. Thanks to the passage of time and a media that quickly buried the images lest they be too “disturbing,” young people have little understanding of what was felt by all Americans in the wake of that horrendous attack.

Young Americans’ naiveté makes them easy prey for those who seek to rewrite history so they can divide and conquer. They lull our youth into blaming the USA for every sin, letting their guards down, and being misled into handing over their hard-fought, God-given rights to those who couldn’t defeat us by force so are now working to defeat us from within.

If you have kids, I suggest a visit to the 9/11 Memorial and Museum in New York, which today is observing ceremonies commemorating the 18th anniversary:

Make sure your children are taught the truth about 9/11. It was one of America’s worst days, yet in the Twin Towers and the Pentagon and on United Flight 93, we also saw Americans at their best, heroically laying down their lives for others, whether they were climbing up into the doomed Towers to search for survivors or standing up against the hijackers, saying, “Let’s roll!,” knowing it meant their own plane would crash but they would save countless lives.

As we reflect on and remember 9/11, let’s not dwell on the murderous monsters who don’t deserve to have their names remembered. Let’s focus on honoring the victims and the many true heroes, both on that awful day, and in the days and even years afterward. Let’s teach our children the truth about 9/11 and about America. And let’s never let our guard down again.

With gratitude,

Mike Huckabee

At last, Mike Flynn is getting the defense he deserves!

By Mike Huckabee

Remember Jim Comey’s meeting at the White House on February 14, 2017, that ended with Trump saying something like “Mike Flynn’s a good guy --- hope you can go easy on him,” and how that innocuous statement was later blown up by Comey into a huge obstruction of justice case and cries from the media and congressional Democrats of “Impeachment, impeachment, impeachment”? It happened when then-FBI Director Comey, hoping to spark a special counsel investigation of Trump –- which subsequently happened, with his close colleague Robert Mueller in charge –- leaked his notes of the conversation to “a friend” (actually someone who had worked with the FBI and whom the crafty Comey later hired as his own attorney) who leaked them to The New York Times.

Well, guess what. On the day Comey had that exchange about Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn with the new President, he already knew that Flynn had been exonerated of any inappropriate contact with Russia. In fact, Comey had known for the previous two weeks that Flynn was cleared. The whole investigation of Flynn and Russia had turned out to be based on nothing. And so Comey naturally informed President Trump that Flynn’s contacts with Russians had all been innocent.

Protecting Planned Parenthood

By Mike Huckabee

I’m sure my readers remember only too well the undercover videos of Planned Parenthood employees talking about the selling of fetal body parts.  California authorities were so desperate to keep the public from knowing about it that the California Attorney General filed 15 felony charges against David Daleiden and Sandra Merritt of the Center for Medical Progress for illegally recording private conversations (a court threw out most of them, but the state refiled.)  You’d think the media would cover the story and side with the reporters, since it was basically an attempt to make undercover reporting a felony; but protecting America’s biggest abortion chain is apparently more important than protecting the rights of journalists.

Well, the pre-trial hearings have finally begun – not that you would know, since there’s practically a media blackout on coverage (as blogger Jim Treacher of PJ Media famously observed, “Modern journalism is all about deciding which facts the public shouldn’t know because they might reflect badly on Democrats.”) A Google News search turned up nothing but reports from a few pro-life sites and one laughably biased screed posing as a news story from a pro-abortion site.

When you hear the testimony, you’ll understand why pro-abortion California liberals were so panicked that they were willing to railroad reporters into prison and impose media blackouts to discredit the reporters and keep you from seeing their videos.

I warn you, the story at the link contains disturbing and grisly details about this process, details that strongly suggest babies were born alive and then had their organs cut out of them or were born alive in illegal partial-birth abortions, either of which should constitute a violent crime that is not protected by confidentiality laws.  It’s basically an admission that the horrors we were told were false and slanderous are actually business as usual. There is also evidence that the state’s witnesses are deviating from facts already on the record or making claims of amnesia when put under oath.

This is a story in which Planned Parenthood doesn’t have morality on its side, or the law or the truth – all they have is the backing of the state and the media.  Their hope is that state power can be abused to silence reporters and that partisan media will prevent you from knowing about it.

Cleaning up Puerto Rico

By Mike Huckabee

Remember how President Trump was roundly vilified as a dumb racist for saying that it was taking so long for power to come back on and hurricane aid to get to Puerto Ricans because of government corruption?  What a dumb, racist thing to say, right?!

Oh wait: on Tuesday, federal authorities arrested two former FEMA officials and a contractor in Puerto Rico on charges including “conspiracy to commit bribery, honest services wire fraud and disaster fraud.”  They allegedly conspired to enrich themselves with government money intended to help rebuild the power grid.  Details and even more examples of unconscionable corruption in the handling of disaster aid to Puerto Rico are at this link:

Now, which do you think will take longer: finishing the work of rebuilding Puerto Rico or waiting for anyone in the media to admit Trump was right?

“A Very Brady Renovation”

By Mike Huckabee

Monday night’s premiere of “A Very Brady Renovation” was the highest-rated series premiere in HGTV history and a jump of 211% in recent ratings for that time slot. Total viewer numbers aren’t in yet, but it’s pretty safe to say more people watched the HGTV gang reconstruct the Brady Bunch house than watched the CNN gang hammer out another evening of fake news.

Since it’s the 50th anniversary of “The Brady Bunch’s” premiere, and HGTV got big ratings even among viewers as young as 25, it seems clear that a lot of people still watch the reruns from before they were born and yearn for a time when humor was clean, family-oriented and not an endless stream of leftwing political commentary.

One person who really longs for the days before people went insane over politics is Susan Olsen, who played the youngest Brady daughter, Cindy.  In December, 2016, the entertainment site linked above, The Wrap, falsely reported that she had been fired from her radio host job over an on-air homophobic rant. Olsen says the story was false and she was never fired, but she believes it was punishment by the entertainment press for publicly admitting she voted for Trump.

Olsen said she’s not a Republican or even all that conservative, but she’ll defend American values when they’re attacked.  She misses the days when people could talk about their differences, saying that now, people just brand someone “hateful,” even Betsy Ross.  She said, “The world’s gone nuts!…It’s misinformation. And these people are hypocrites.”

Really makes you want to take refuge in HGTV or just watch reruns of “The Brady Bunch,” a blessed reminder of the days before (sing it with me!) “These leftists all became the Crazy Nuts!”

I wanted to make sure you also read these comments:

Some conservatives attempted to warn leftists that they weren’t going to like the new rules and standards they were creating once they started getting applied to them. They didn’t listen. And as I’ve been chronicling recently, the right has started using the left’s weapons, such as the court system, to fight back pretty effectively.

Latest example: the NRA has slapped San Francisco with a lawsuit for voting to label the NRA as a “domestic terrorist group.” The lawsuit alleges that city officials also smeared the NRA as “inciting gun owners to acts of violence,” which is flatly false, and that the designation of them as a propaganda-generating terrorist group is a violation of their First Amendment right to free speech and an attempt to blacklist members, as well as “an assault on all advocacy organizations across the country.”

Considering that the resolution’s author, San Francisco Supervisor Catherine Stefani, as much as admitted it was born out of pure emotion and wanting to “just do something” about mass shootings rather than actual facts about the NRA, it will be interesting to hear how the city defends itself in court. Although if I had to make a prediction, it would be that this resolution gets rescinded and the case settled before that happens. I suspect that even the people who run San Francisco aren’t crazy enough to try to convince a jury to certify their fact-free hissy fit.

Sure, “Beto,” Americans will happily comply with your plans to confiscate their weapons. In fact, if you’ll just step into this lovely van with these nice men in white coats, they’ll take you to a comfy padded room where you can read all about how well New Jersey residents are complying with a recent law requiring them to turn in their high-capacity magazines. Watch your head!...

    Governor Huckabee:
Question, if the US is so oil and gas independent, why is gas on the West Coast going UP? The average price of a gallon of gas in most states is $2.68 per gallon, but here in NV our price is $3.33 or more. Now our local news is telling up because of the Saudi oil fields on fire, our gas will more then likely go UP???????????? I would like an answer.
    Carmen Price
    Reno, NV
Now the left is after Kavanaugh again???????????? Oh and Beto wants to come and get our guns! These lefties are going ballistic!

I have to admit that when President Bush said that Islam is a peaceful religion following the taking down of the towers and death of 3000 plus people, was very disturbing to me. Now we have them using our government to take us down from the inside. Ilhan Omar, or Ilhan Said, must be removed and no Muslim who follows the culture and belief in Sharia should ever be allowed into any government position in the United States. We are truly sheep going to slaughter under the guise of political correctness, or thought control. Ever watch or read "1984" George Orwells story of government take over of everything including our speech and thoughts. I did and it terrified me seeing the comparisons to today's climate, socially and politically. There are obvious comparisons to what is happening today and people better WAKE UP!!! Muslims are here to take over and they have lots of money to do so. Omar gets lots of money from the Turkish leader. Just read history about them and their control of 2/3rds of the world for 1400 years until 1924 and listen to converted Muslims or Bridgette Gabriel of ACT. Everyone brings up the Crusades which was a reaction to the Muslims' take over and they(Crusaders) lost. It lasted 400 years. That's a very long time. Are we ready for this to happen?? Thanks to Obama(first Muslim president), Iran has 90 billion to spend according to the man I mention in the next paragraph. In addition, there is rich Dubai and Saudi Arabia.
Good news I heard last night from an Iranian turned Christian. Due to the invention of the satellites, twenty stations can be viewed, in their language, which has aided in the conversion of 28 million, since 1980, out of 80 million Iranians. They are also leaving the country and spreading the good word to other Muslim populated countries like Pakistan and they are converting many. We must pray for these poor people who are completely on their own and scared living for Jesus. Amen.

I Sincerely hope that Pres.Trump considers General Michael Flynn. He is extremely Intelligent person and he knew from the Start the FBI wanted to use him to destroy the President. I Won't be surprised he discussed this with the President beforehand. General Flynn is the ONLY Person that has the Knowledge of what is going on on the Battle Fields and the contacts across the World. The General is a great character and Humanist.!!

I remember the days after the towers fell when people were walking around with photos of their missing loved ones hoping someone knew where they were. Heartbreaking. I'll never forget.

As is often the lament, 'we Americans are treading in "the deep stuff." Can anyone, looking back on the past fifty-odd years, and certainly these last twenty-five or so, deny that America is 'paying a price' for what has been allowed? When a country allows the 'termination' of a life, and what God refers to as a "gift," who/whom but the atheist and agnostic would believe a price would not have to be paid? 62 million abortions, and counting, exceed the populations of several countries, and selling, harvesting, 'parts' of God's gift - some may not FEAR God, or his righteous wrath, but all need to know that God is a Loving God, but there is a passage that says: "God is NOT mocked!"

If we had been paying more attention to who was in this country and what they were up to, the
attack on 9/11 probably never would have happened.
What was the story about some intelligence person who was suspicious about a group of foreigners who wanted to learn to fly but were not interested in learning to take off or land?
Seems like his fears fell on deaf ears, another example of various agencies unable to work together.

About 1970 I was an anesthesiologist at Yale New Haven hospital in New Haven Ct. I had a patient who was having a Gyn procedure in the operating room under anesthesia. A fullsized well developed infant was delivered & started to cry. The infant was quickly taken to another room, still crying while the gynecologist quickly opened the infant's abdomen & took the liver out.The infant stoped crying & the group of Gyn physicians left the area with the infant liver in a jar & never returned to care for the dead infant or the mother who awakened & was taken to a recovery room. When I tried to get the details I was told by the Gyn staff that this was none of my business.

December 7, 1941. I bring up that date because it was a day that we declared war on Japan for attacking Pearl Harbor. We then went out and defeated that nation. September 11, 2001. A day we said we would never forget, and many haven't. We sort of declared war and I understand things are a little different than 1941. At the same time the many who were responsible have sat around with contempt for us and all that has happened is a president has poured money on them and turned several of them loose to terrorize again. We have not forgotten those who have died from 9-11 but it sure seems like we have forgotten who was responsible for it.
