Today's Edition

Nancy Pelosi is feeling the pressure right now. Even a growing number of Democrats are calling for her to be done with it and send the Impeachment Articles to the Senate at long last. Truly, the impatience with her is something being felt on both sides of the aisle, albeit for different reasons.

Recall that I posted an open letter to Madam Speaker not long ago, and many thousands of you added your names. Now, there’s a slew of stories and even a website called

On Wednesday’s HANNITY show, Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan, Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz, and New York Rep. Elise Stefanik had a lively discussion about the move to light a fire under Pelosi's stylish pumps.

"I just hope to find a woman that’ll hold me as tight as Nancy Pelosi’s holdin’ onto those impeachment articles,” Rep. Gaetz said. We all wish him well in that endeavor.

He also dropped what I would consider a blockbuster: news that representatives –- especially the 31 who are in districts won by Donald Trump –- were told if they didn’t vote for impeachment, they wouldn’t receive party funding. As Gaetz put it, Pelosi “actually used political money as a weapon to threaten a lot of these folks to vote for impeachment.”

"They were told if they did not vote for impeachment, they could not expect funding from the DCCC in their races,” Gaetz revealed. “This wasn’t a sincere effort to abide by the rule of law. It was a political hit job by Democrats because they have no substantive argument against the Trump presidency.”

"...Pelosi has been exposed and the impeachment dam is breaking,” said Stefanik. “We need to continue to keep the pressure up because she has no authority over the Senate, so it was absolutely audacious and outrageous that she has been willing to withhold this, after urging the American people and Democrats forcing them to take this vote on an arbitrary schedule.

"The real reason why I think she’s holding back," Stefanik said, "is she does not want to expose the coordination that we know happened between Adam Schiff and the whistleblower.”  I think that with this comment, Stefanik nailed it.  The curtain is going to be pulled back, big-time.  Can't wait.

Jordan pointed out that Pelosi didn’t imagine when she started down the impeachment road that absolutely no Republicans would join her and that one Democrat would vote against impeachment, another would vote “present” and still, another would vote “no” and then switch parties.

With gratitude,

Mike Huckabee

America approves

By Mike Huckabee

I almost feel sorry for President Trump’s rabid critics in the media and the Democratic Party.  He’s winning so fast, they don’t even have time to accuse him of losing before he wins again:

“The American people are outraged that Trump committed a war crime by taking out Gen. Soliemani and…”

Uh, this just in: Obama’s former DHS chief says that was perfectly legitimate. And a new poll shows a majority of the public approves.

“Oh...But his reckless bumbling with no plans for the consequences will spark World War III, and…”

Iran just backed down.  It’s over.

The latest example of Trumpus Rumpus Interruptus involves Nancy Pelosi’s attempt to tie Trump’s hands in dealing with America's enemies.  She announced that the House will vote today on her “War Powers Resolution” to prevent him from taking further action against Iran, because, apparently, when the voters picked him to be Commander-in-Chief, they really wanted those decisions made by Nancy Pelosi and Adam Schiff, two people who can’t even take out the garbage in their own districts.

Pelosi claims that Trump "endangered our service members, diplomats and others by risking a serious escalation of tensions with Iran" (Note: the airstrike came after multiple provocations from Iran, including a rocket attack that killed an American contractor and an attack on our Embassy.)  She declared that it’s obvious Trump "does not have a coherent strategy to keep the American people safe, achieve de-escalation with Iran and ensure stability in the region" and said Congress has "serious, urgent concerns about the Administration’s decision to engage in hostilities against Iran and about its lack of strategy moving forward."

This statement came after Congress was briefed on the intelligence about imminent planned attacks by Iran which Democrats found unconvincing. (Note: Illinois Republican Rep. Adam Kinzinger of the House Foreign Affairs Committee was also in that classified briefing. He said, “I am convinced even more than ever — and I was fully convinced — this was the right move to save American lives on an imminent basis, and they did the right thing,” but that the Democrats in the meeting seemed uninterested even in listening to the evidence.)

Nevertheless, Pelosi is pressing forward with her vote to rein in the President’s powers today, even though Trump already spoke to the nation yesterday to announce that no Americans were harmed in Iran’s face-saving missile launch, the damage was minimal, and Iran seems to be standing down.  But he’s still imposing another $150 billion in economic sanctions on them, and they now know the US will no longer tolerate “Iran’s destructive and destabilizing behavior…Those days are over.”

(Note: Trump also noted that the last Administration’s plan for dealing with Iran resulted in them being flush with cash to support terrorism around the world. The liberal CYA news outlets pounced on that with “fact-checks,” claiming there’s no solid proof Iran spent that money on terrorism and weapons.  Right…maybe they spent it on flowers for the Mullahs to weave into their beards!  That’s almost as laughable as Iran’s announcement that because of Trump’s strike on Soleimani, they will no longer abide by the Obama nuclear agreement.)

And so, with the same “fierce urgency of now” that compelled her to pass impeachment before Christmas, a day after Trump announced that the hostilities are most likely over and we won, Pelosi will still go ahead with her vote a day late and a dollar short on a resolution that is not only meaningless in its content, it’s legally and Constitutionally meaningless. Why?

I already mentioned that there was zero chance of such a bill passing the Senate and being signed by Trump, so Pelosi is skipping that part by making it a concurrent resolution instead of a joint resolution.  In other words, as even the Huffington Post conceded, this isn’t a bill, it’s a glorified press release.  And like all the other Democratic press releases lately, Trump will have rendered it laughably outdated before it’s even released.

For a concise and entertaining recap of this story, and how the panicky Chicken Littles who got absolutely everything wrong think this proves we should put them back in charge, check out Michael Goodwin’s column in the New York Post:

I wanted to make sure you also read these comments:

ADP/Moody Analytics has released its monthly jobs report, which estimates that 202,000 new jobs were created in December, the most in eight months. Our perpetually-surprised economists had estimated only 157,000.  In addition, ADP revised its jobs figure for November from 67,000 up to 124,000.  Most of the new jobs were in small and medium-sized businesses and from construction and service jobs.

Meanwhile, after President Trump’s remarks Wednesday about Iran appearing to stand down, both the Dow and NASDAQ surged to new record highs.

All I can say is that so far, World War III is nothing like I imagined it.

Officials at Glacier National Park in Montana are scrambling to remove signs put up in 2009 that read “GOODBYE TO THE GLACIERS,” and claim that due to global warming, the glaciers will be completely gone by 2020.  Well, it’s 2020, and the glaciers are still here, rendering those signs hilariously embarrassing.

They should’ve expected this.  As one commentator pointed out, so-called “experts” have been predicting the disappearance of the glaciers for over 70 years. In 1923, they said the glaciers would be gone by 1948.  In 1952, they’d be gone by 2002.  In 2009, they’d be gone by 2020. Officials are trying to scrape up the money to replace those signs with more “nuanced” (i.e., vague) signs just saying that everyone agrees the glaciers are melting (except they don’t: some appear to have grown since 2009.)

I would suggest they just get one of those marquee signs that lets you change out the letters, so they can update it after each new failed apocalyptic deadline prediction.  Better yet, just leave up the signs saying the glaciers will all be gone by 2020 as a national monument to incompetence and hysteria.

Bible Verse of the Day (KJV)

"Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves."

I decided to take the plunge and have read some of the articles and listened to some videos. I swear, if that is all one went by, one would think that President Trump woke up the other morning, decided--hey!!! I think I'm gonna go after soleimani, although, goodness knows there's really no evidence that he is behind any attacks over the last 40+ years. And then, picks up a phone and notifies military leaders in the Middle East to go get him!!! As I was reading, I thought, I'm sure there is military intelligence he has been in contact with, and they had information leading him toward his decision. And then, lo and behold, there were MEETINGS (just not with the leakers) where strategy was discussed!!! Who would have thunk?

I do wonder about the intelligence of some congressmen--this attack on the most terroristic terrorist was "unprovoked?" Methinks that pelosi not only ignored a call from VP Pence (which possibly was to tell her about the strike on soleimani) but that she must not watch any news and/or her staff has not kept her up on the strikes against the US of A, including the US embassy. She must have forgotten about the attack on the drone where they were crying that retaliation would be WWIII and actually were upset there was none (retaliation or WWIII.) I guess they didn't care that soleimani would continue to put lives in danger The Trump haters show their true colors every time they show their disappointment that HE has averted mayhem--they really act like they would like to see Americans die just so they can blame the President. And, that omar person--she should move to a country she has allegience to, because she sure doesn't have any allegience or love for America.

    CORRECTION NEEDED. Typo in the ADP/Moody Analytics piece. 157,000 + 67,000 = 224,000, not 124,000
