The moderator of the final Presidential debate on October 22, Kristen Welker of NBC News, announced the topics she plans to cover: Fighting COVID-19, American Families, Race in America, Climate Change, National Security and Leadership.

It’s a fine collection of well-worn DNC talking points and menu items from the Biden-Harris campaign website, but do you notice anything missing? For instance, any issues the American people actually care about, other than COVID-19, which has already been talked to death in the first debate, the VP debate and the two townhalls?

According to a recent Gallup Poll, the #1 issue Americans are most concerned about is not Q-Anon or the President’s tax returns, it’s the economy, with terrorism and national security ranked second. The coronavirus came in third, followed by healthcare, race relations, gun policy, crime, abortion and immigration. Climate change was in 11th place.

I can see why the media are steering clear of questions on gun policy, crime, abortion and immigration, since those likely wouldn’t reflect well on Democrats. I’m sure it will be hard enough to slant the questions to make the economy, terrorism, national security and race relations reflect well on Democrats.

If a powerful political family commits massive corruption and influence peddling and most of the media refuse to report it, and social media censors anyone from talking about it, does the corruption and influence peddling still exist? Yes, and it will only get worse if the source makes it all the way to the White House, which is the goal of all that silence and censorship.

For the record, the Media Research Center has been keeping tabs. Over the two days (Wednesday and Thursday) when the Hunter Biden story was (against all odds) breaking, there was a total of 92 hours of news broadcast on ABC, CBS and NBC, the two townhalls and 18 hours a day each on CNN and MSNBC. Out of that 92 hours, less than 10 minutes was devoted to the Hunter Biden story. That included zero minutes on ABC and CNN.

But maybe they were just afraid to bring it up to Joe Biden for fear he’d bite their heads off. Bo Erickson of CBS actually asked Biden, “What is your response to the New York Post story about your son, sir?” Biden called it a “smear campaign,” then went off on Erickson personally, saying, “I know you’d ask it. I have no response, it’s another smear campaign, right up your alley, those are the questions you always ask.”

Well, at least he didn’t call him a “dog-faced pony soldier.” And for the record, reporting on potential high-level government corruption backed by firsthand email evidence is not a “smear.” An example of a “smear” would be if you kept accusing someone of calling neo-Nazis “very fine people,” even after that claim had been repeatedly debunked.

While there’s not much that can be done about the TV networks' blatant bias and dereliction of journalistic duty, the social media billionaires are about to learn that they don’t control the public’s freedom of speech. In addition to the demands to come in and “talk” to the Senate, they’ve been hit with an FEC complaint by the Republican National Committee for making an illegal “in-kind” contribution to the Biden campaign by shutting down discussion of the growing scandal.

Friday in Eragny, France, northwest of Paris, a male teacher was attacked and beheaded on the street by an Islamic extremist, who was killed by police. The teacher had shown students a cartoon of Muhammed as part of a lesson on free speech. This was the second terrorist attack since a trial began related to the 2015 massacre at the offices of the satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo, which printed a cartoon depicting Muhammed. In the first attack, two people suffered non-fatal stab wounds and the attacker, a young Pakistani man, was arrested.

This latest horrific crime should serve as a lesson to the entire world about free speech. It’s also a stark warning that evil still exists. It’s just hiding in the shadows, biding its time while we argue over trivialities, and hoping that we’ll forget the recent past and let our guard down. Reminder: from 2010 to 2014, ISIS was allowed to take over territory in the Middle East the size of Pennsylvania, bringing with them mass murder, torture, sex slavery and beheadings. Have we already forgotten so completely who was in charge of our foreign policy at that time that we want to put the same people back in charge?

The people in the audience at the two town halls this week made more news than the candidates.

At the NBC Trump townhall, it appears that a black woman was moved into direct camera range behind Trump, possibly in hopes that she would express displeasure with him. But that backfired when she turned out to be a Trump supporter who nodded in emphatic agreement every time he refuted one of the moderator’s attacks. Even though she was wearing a mask, leftists were so outraged that a black woman dared to think in ways they disapprove of that they tracked down her identity and doxxed her on the Internet. I hope that backfires by making her a celebrity and showing the world just one more example of the left’s staggering sense of white privilege.

By the way, the woman who told Trump how handsome he was when he smiled also infuriated leftists and helped shatter the host’s carefully-constructed theme for the townhall, which was “EVERYBODY HAAAAAAAAAAATES TRUMP!!!”

Meanwhile, over on the ABC tongue bath for Joe Biden, the hosts must have had as much trouble getting Americans to show up for the broadcast as Joe does drawing a crowd at his “rallies.” That might explain why they had to substitute the announced “undecided voters” with partisans and political insiders, including a man who worked as a speechwriter under Obama.

Democrats protested that he was just a speechwriter in the Small Business Administration and Commerce Department and worked in the government under both Bush and Obama.

But the point is that ABC led us to believe these were all just ordinary “undecided” voters. Does nobody at ABC even know how to make contact with someone who isn’t a political appointee drawing a government or DNC paycheck? If so, they’re welcome to give me a call, and I’ll hook them up with some non-Swamp-dwelling Americans.

Here’s a great weekend story to take your mind off politics and remind you that there are other things in life that need tending to. Stacy Lois Oliver was a Chicago woman who died at 52 of the neurodegenerative disorder MSA. But before she did, she wrote her own obituary. It contains a lot of wise advice, so much that it went viral. Read it yourself, then go smell some roses. And say a prayer for her husband, Jeff, too.

I see this coming debate as more biased than the NBC townhall. Start with a very left moderator choosing topics favorable to Democrats. Foreign policy and the economy are two of the President's strong suits, not to be discussed, and of course no mention of Biden pay-to-play. The President will be debating with both feet tied, his hands behind his back, his microphone muted, and a hostile moderator. The public is not served by this.

I can`t believe the President has agreed to let this Dem. be the moderator! It can`t be good for him and will be very good for Biden! This continues to happen in debates to Republicans! We need to stop being run over by these Democratic moderators!

I am seeing where our churches in the United States have not taught their church goers how to VOTE THE BIBLE! Do you know that the church members do not know that Israel is the 'Apple of God's eye' and that abortion ( the murder of babies in this country ) is also "VOTE THE BIBLE". Our preachers have not even been doing their job in the United States. Mr. Huckabee, this literally breaks my heart! These are United States ministers! What do you say to these ministers...…..

As usual a great newsletter! I have a question about Thursday's debate-Doesn't the President have a choice to have a moderator? Why Kristen Welker? This seems so unfair. She wouldn't be fair. Her & family background as democrat supporters. Aren't there any unbiased moderators out there? I do hope & pray the President will let Joe Biden do all the talking points & don't interrupt until finished. The more Joe talks & lies, the better for the President! Let's see if Joe interrupts the President & see how the moderator responds & the moderator. Millions will be watching this one. The President do well the first time.

    Dear Mike:
I really hope you can read this comment and convey it to our President.
I think I mention this before but may be worth consider:
Racism is one of the aces used by Democrats; first, not all black people in the Country are descendants from slaves, and those that are, may as well be grateful that now they can enjoy the American dream as compared to some other African people in Africa that face real racism, abuse, slavery and starvation. If BLM really care for the black people, they should be trying tto help those in Africa.
Regarding Hispanics (I am one), and other races, I have never seen any significant discrimination. Our President may use some of this in the next debate.
    Thanks, God bless you.

Why do all of the moderators for the debates have democratic ties? This is not fair. Don't the republicans have a say in who the moderators are? A town hall gathering does not even need a moderator. Let the people speak and let the nominees answer the questions.

Kristin Weller of NBC, the next debate moderator is another anti-Trump phony. I do not expect the debate to go well for the President. This will be no different than the debate with Chris Wallace. But I do hope that the President does several things. One, let Joe ramble for his two minutes, bit don't allow or ignore Joe when he tries to interrupt. Two, don't allow the phony moderator to draw you in, anger you or try to keep you on the defensive. The President needs to bring out his accomplishments the best he can. He needs to assure the American people and look into the camera and speak to the American people, not Joe, not the moderator. And he should not allow the moderator or Joe to cut him off. It will be interesting!!!

    Dear Gov. Huckabee:
If a judge or other civil servant got 50% of the money that was paid to his son by the mafia, wouldn't he be prosecuted? What about a father who got / gets money through his son from the Chinese COMMUNIST government? Should he be allowed to run for PRESIDENT of the UNITED STATS?! Might he be inclined to statements such as, "The Chinese are gonna eat our lunch? C'mon man!"

DO NOT TAKE MY WORD! check it yourself...make your own opinion...The AARP is has been documented in many sources (both GOP/Dem + Ind parties), is principly/primarily Democratic supported/funded etc. Is there any wonder the AARP finds more COVID cases and statistics higher than "actually" documented. Plus what are the political affiliations funding of those that run these COVID testing agencies? I bet you will find DEMORATS primarily funding THOSE THAT REPORT COVID CASES/DEATHS!

I have commented a few times about our FBI leader Wray relationship with Mueller and Wisseman the anti american lawyer that ran the Mueller Investigation against President Trump's Collusion case. The misuse of muti Federal Institutions which Mueller Comey and now Wray were in charge. It again looks as Wray is protecting abuse of power by the FBI does America have a person that can be trusted to lead the FBI to a higher degree of competency in being just a tool for the Left wing policies and hiding the misuse of Left Wing corruption?

Another NBC debate/townhall? What's wrong with Trump's campaign management? They keep acquiescing to the left. I don't understand. Bias everywhere and they keep coming back for more.

I so appreciate your emails every day. It's exasperating to try to find real news anywhere today. I just recently read Sara's book, and loved it.
Like you said in your article, we don't care about the virus, and we certainly don't care about some one else's taxes. We do want to know when the economy will open up again, we want to know the truth about Joe and Hunter Biden.
Like many other people in this country, I am concerned about the result of the election this year.

People should be judged while under duress how do you respond Check Biden reactions when asked a question about a negative activity he has performed, which are by the 1000's he shouts at a reporter he doesn't allow access to his activity about most of his criminal or unethical dealings. on the other hand Trump has a interview with a woman that has chewed Knat and is vicious with questions that are with out truth in front of millions with the hope outcome is embarrassment, while falsely accusing him instead of getting a true perspective of the issues. Biden is quick to cover his activity with insults accusing questioners of being drug junkie, calling people of color they don't have color Biden is just corrupt at the time of all his corrupt dealings he felt secure of never getting caught Hilary was never going to challenge him if she won Hilary would have expanded his operation of Bribery and corruptness with the Clinton Obama and Biden crime family all the organizations of law and police enforcement are under the control of these Families. Now do wonder why Trump is not a Favorite of these Families. If can't see it your a part of the Family MSM Democratic Party and please do not allow yourself to forget the CCP.

Millions have already voted without first hearing how absolutely corrupt Biden is. Dirty rotten shame.
President Trump is hated BECAUSE of fear he will uncover ALL the corruption along with the corruption he has already exposed. I don’t understand how so many people don’t realize that many of these long term (servants) (LOL) of the people are now millionaires. OUR MONEY WENT IN THEIR POCKETS instead of where it was meant to go.

You failed to mention that Welker's a "Never Trumper" who at all the daily briefings with Kayleigh McAny constantly and rudely berates her on anything that could mildly be complimentary to Pres. Trump. You also failed to mention that it was she who provided the debate questions to Donna Brazille who fed them to Hilliary. Granted, it didn't do Hilliary much good, but to have this woman as a moderator is ridiculous. She will not touch Biden. Her family gave very generous donations to Hilliary campaign. Her hatred of the President is well known by anyone who will take the time to research . I do hope you will make mention of this fact. Please.

Hi Mike: Your 'Editions' give me more comfort then you'll ever know. Makes me know there are good people in this world, and that 'good' will prevail on November 3rd. I pray for President Trump to 'attempt' to hold his temper; however, I also realize, with clarity, how angry he must be, over these past almost 4 years of how the Liberals have attempted to drag him through the dirt, and he has prevailed. I certainly hope and pray the people who caused all this carnage, on President Trump and his family, finally get punished for what they have done, not only to the President, but to this country.
