As the protests that started with George Floyd’s death have devolved into street violence, looting and anti-American, pro-communist radicals setting up their own police-free “autonomous zones” that resemble sets from a "Terminator" movie, I have repeatedly pointed out that opposing that garbage is not the same thing as supporting racism. Indeed, those “protesters” are largely white, college-indoctrinated Antifa types who have hijacked legitimate protests. They claim to be defending black people while actually destroying their neighborhoods and keeping police out of them, even as black residents are begging for more police protection. They are, in short, exhibiting the worst kind of “white privilege” by claiming to speak for black Americans while utterly discounting what they are really saying.

Nowhere has this level of obnoxious leftist “white privilege” been more clearly on display than in the sickening video of white, purple-haired gender studies majors screaming racial epithets into the faces of African-American police officers and telling them they are traitors to their race. They are only “brave” enough to do this because they know that leftist mayors have ordered the police to just stand there and take it. Whenever police have been given the go-ahead to do their jobs and clear out their rats’ nests, these “social justice warriors” respond by whining like whipped puppies.

I think many Americans of all races have just about reached the limits of their patience with these tragic results of helicopter parenting, which explains why this video clip of black Portland police officer Jakhary Jackson has gone viral. Finally, at long last, someone is brave enough to speak up against the ignorant loudmouths who know nothing about history and who have never experienced racism themselves, yet they’ve hijacked the issue. They cover themselves with “Black Lives Matter” logos and scream at other people about their racism, even as they block black citizens from speaking and scream racist insults into the face of black cops.

This is a must-watch video. I’d like to hear more from Officer Jackson. How about putting him on some of the cable TV networks instead of the racists hiding behind the mask of anti-racism warriors?

Despite what the media may claim, demanding accurate numbers about the COVID-19 (Chinese) coronavirus does not mean that you’re a “science denier” who thinks it isn’t real or that people shouldn’t take measures to avoid it. It’s actually those who overstate the numbers and report them incorrectly who are doing the most to undermine public trust in government health guidelines.

For instance, many of us questioned the reported hospitalization rates because of claims that patients who tested positive were being listed as COVID-19 hospitalizations even if they had no symptoms and were actually in the hospital for a nose job. Likewise, there are reports of people listed as coronavirus deaths, even if they came to the hospital with some other life-threatening condition and contracted the virus there.

There have also been outright screw-ups, such as the Florida labs that only reported positive tests, so that a positive test rate of 9.4% got reported as 98% positive. And in Texas, 3,000 reported confirmed cases had to be removed from state records because they were only “probable” cases.

But this one is really stretching the limits of credulity: it was revealed that someone listed as a COVID-19 fatality in the Florida records actually died in a motorcycle accident. Did he sneeze on the inside of his helmet visor and blind himself? Because that’s the only way a motorcycle crash could be blamed on a flu-like virus.

Former comedian Chelsea Handler posted a tweet of herself duplicating a photo of Ivanka Trump, only instead of holding a can of Goya beans, she was holding Rosarita brand beans. She captioned it, “If you want your beans without a side of racism, try other brands. I am.”

She was quickly ripped apart by commenters on Twitter who pointed out:

1. Leftists like her are attacking the CEO of Goya for praising President Trump for signing an initiative that will boost employment for minorities.

2. Goya is a family-owned Hispanic food company founded by Spanish immigrants and which employs thousands of Hispanic workers. Rosarita is a brand name used by agricultural corporation Conagra, headquartered in Chicago.

3. Conagra has also partnered with Ivanka Trump in releasing their Health Choice lunch products.

Normally, I just ignore most silly tweets by leftist celebrities as not being real news (to quote Lou Grant from “The Mary Tyler Moore Show,” when I see a duck, I expect it to quack.) But I wanted to point this one out for several reasons. It’s especially dumb, the responses were so amusing, it shows why I have writers who do actual research (and BTW, they live in Texas and always have Goya products in their pantry), but most of all to point out how badly the clueless “boycott” of Goya foods by liberal celebrities who’ve probably never even tasted their products (or wouldn’t know if they had – how many of them do their own grocery shopping?) has backfired.

Casey Harper started a GoFundMe page to counter the boycott threat by raising money to buy Goya foods for local food banks. His initial goal was $10,000. As of this writing, the fund has topped $304,000, thanks to so many other Americans being fed up -- not with delicious Mexican food but with intolerant leftists trying to “cancel” anyone who dares to disagree with them.

The amount is so large, Harper has now met with Goya executives who are helping him purchase the foods directly at the best rates, so the most food can be distributed to a number of food banks. He says the first order will be about 40,000 pounds of food given to a food bank in Arlington, Virginia, and he’s heard that the manager is “jumping with joy.” If you’d like to keep that bandwagon rolling, here’s the GoFundMe page again.

So while leftists preen and virtue-signal about how much they care about the poor by voting for people who will take other people’s money and call anyone who objects racist, Trump supporters put up their own money to show support for a Hispanic-owned company and actually feed the poor.

Sounds like a pretty good distillation of the past 70 years’ worth of liberal vs. conservative policies.

Thanks to people being stuck at home, a supplier of pet chickens in New York says business is up by 260 percent. Keeping chickens gives kids something to do, it provides fresh eggs, and some people find it soothing in unnerving times.

Speaking as a kid from a small town/rural background, let me give you some tips if you’re thinking of becoming a proud, Big Apple chicken keeper. Make sure your hens are secure from feral cats, stray dogs, birds of prey and other predators. Study up on the subject before you take the leap (you don’t want to be like your Mayor, whose grasp of what farmers actually do is worse than Oliver Douglas on “Green Acres.”) And keep your chicken population down to two or three. If wearing a breathing mask makes you nervous, trust me: you will not be able to clean out a coop that has 50 or so chickens in it without one. In fact, if you have to clean out that kind of chicken coop, you might want to invest in scuba tanks.

Love reading your morning and evening editions. Must report, though, that 90% of the time when I try to get to your page, it comes back with an error message. Don't know if possibly you are overwhelmed with viewers? However if I wait 2-3 days past your initial post, sometimes I am able to read the whole thing. This a.m. (7/21) a post from evening 7/18 opened successfully. Tried to open the 7/19 edition and got the same old error message. Hoping this is helpful. Keep up the good work, may our marvelous Lord bless you.

As the MSM takes us back to to terrible times to open old wounds of discrimination yes it happened can we undo.
, it no the Vietnam war
can we undo, it the weapons of mass destruction can we undo it, the beheadings of innocent people by Islamic terrorists no, these acts will not be undone as we moved on to get better and make adjustments to a better society, as out country was experiencing the greatest economic and enthusiastic of all times why does the MSM despise the greatness, Happy, good times for all. Because the beauty of this country is exposed for what it can be and that is cause for loss of control Black Americans were coming out of their cocoon and understanding employment and a working wage is so much better than Government assistance that kept them from experiencing the beauty of buying and gratification of owning assets that make life enjoyable and self worth the Left will not stand for that and thats why they bring the past to life and embrace the economic shutdown connect the dots the left wants America ugly disrespectful and powerless and to a degree as of now its working. More a query: I note there has been an autopsy on the body of George Floyd- - iOS this true?
Which differs from all we have been seeing on the news.

I thank God for you, Mike Huckabee. Your comments are clear, direct and sane, telling it flat-out as it is with no craziness and wild speculation thrown into the mix. You have often soothed my frayed nerves with your commentary, providing solid ground and clear vision for this fainting follower. Keep up the good work and level-headed, clear-eyed approach. It is just what America needs.

There is another subterfuge going on with Covid reporting. If one person gets tested 15 times, they are reporting it as 15 cases. I am dismayed that they returned the authority in counting cases back to the CDC instead of keeping it at the HHR. Apparently the CDC wants our economy to stay shut down too. And I wish Governor DeSantis (I live in Florida) would have touted something more than the res.... whatever that drug is that Dr. Fouci will make money on, for a cure. Hydroxy was not mentioned. The Governor also mentioned plasma with antibodies which is good.

I know the coronovirus is real and has infected many. But I read an interesting article on Town hall being specific about the hype and fear we get from the MSM every day all day long. The example used was Texas and they had130 deaths in one day from Covid-19. But on an average day in Texas 500+ people die from something. Of course we don't get to see that perspective. I can't help wonder about all the other states using the same stats- deaths from Covid-19 compared to all deaths from other causes. I am not at all trying to be insensitive, but the MSM and the Democrats have so politicized this and now more than ever are using any Covid-19 increases to criticize the President. But what don't they criticize him for!! I hope one huge majority of American Patriots and Conservatives wake up to the tactics of the Democrats, MSM, BLM, Antifa, Soros, etc. and go to the polls, in person and vote Trump 2020!!

I have a question. When our country faced the Joe McCarthy Era 'Inqusitions' about communist sympathizers; how was he finally stopped? I've a few snip its of information here and there. It was mostly about how he abused his powers as a Senator to investigate any body and had them black listed for very little reason. Did it 'burn out' at the end? Or did some one higher in the Congress or the Administration exercise a restraining order or some thing. May be he wasn't re-elected?

Can we use the same tool, investigation, or method that 'got' Joe McCarthy? It would be very humiliating for all those "hard working" Democrate investigators not to get re-elected. Especially the greasy fried chicken guy from was it TN or KY? He sat in his Chair in the Congress; clucked like a chicken and moved his elbows up and down. What a jerk.
He talked when he had food in his mouth. He hands and mouth were coated with grease. Yuk! The Congressman was calling out the AG for being a chicken for not showing up. Oh
    Pllleeezzee! Pat McMahon

Thank you Mike for sharing this police officers story, but I honestly would like for him to continue speaking to the people who ask him questions. Actually, if I was in his shoes I would reach out to the same race and other non-white protesters and discuss how we despise police brutality, racism in the ranks or in any civil authority or political office. I would explain to them no matter what happens during any police stop, always be respectful, know that their are people out there who may not like you. If you act like Jesus and show love and respect to any officer then you will not get hurt or disrespected back. You can always fight the charges in court, do not fight with officers at all!!!! This is what the officer should speak, the truth, life and light of the world!!!

"People"...please realize the COVID virus like so many viruses/diseased bactrim are VERY MUCH SMALLER THAN ANY EXPOSED SKIN PORES. NO PROTECTIVE PRODUCT THAT DOES NOT COVER THE ENTIRE HUMAN BODY IS EFFECTIVE AGAINST MOST VIRUSES ESPECIALLY COVID'S FAMILY OF VIRUSES. That is the down and dirty facts about the "Russian Roulette" we as individuals play every minute we expose ourselves to a possible infected carrier...Now think about the "front line" that exposes themselves and others especially loved ones with this virus on the clothes we take home, get in in our cars, on the bus etc........IF THE HUMAN RACE IS GOING TO DEFEAT THIS FAMILY OF VIRUSES..WE HAVE TO FIGHT WITH PURE LOGICAL SCIENCE...AND THAT BEGINS WITH FULL BODY PROTECTIVE COVERING NOT THIS IGNORANT PLACATING MASK IDEA! THIS IS A WAR AGAINST A FAMILY OF VIRUSES THAT DOES NOT CARE WHO YOU ARE/YOUR SOCIAL STATUS AND IT NEEDS TO BE FOUGHT WITH THE MOST ADVANCED C.B.R. PROTECTION POSSIBLE!

What preparations are being made by law enforcement/government to protect voters at the polls in November especially at more conservative and Republican heavy polls? It seems to me the next logical step by Antifa, #BLM, and other militant and liberal groups is to disrupt voting at the polls by protesting so that it turns people away who fear trying to get into the poll. I think older voters would be especially fearful.

All of us have noticed that the cities with continuing violence are run by Mayors who are Democrats, many with Soros-backed AGs who refuse to enforce the law.

I have heard that each COVID test is a case. If I am tested three times, it counts as three cases instead of one. Each reported COVID patient is tested several times.

Mike - Liked your comments regarding raising chickens. As a young man I had a SUMMER job at an "egg farm". I worked in a long metal building - did I mention it was SUMMER? - and it got very warm. It had 8 long - 100 ft or more - double rows of caged chickens...HUNDREDS of caged chickens. The cages were all screen, with sloped bottoms the eggs could roll down to collect in a "trough" outside the cage. Chicken "by-products" went through the screening to shallow pits below. My main job was collecting eggs and feeding but there was that other "little problem" I had to work on afterward. The "farmer" was new at it - it was only his 2nd or 3rd year - and he hadn't thought ahead as to what to do once those shallow pits filled. He/we had been getting by with shovel, wheelbarrow and outdoor "lagoon", but it was becoming a losing battle. I left when school started again and didn't keep in touch, so don't know what, if anything, he ever came up with to keep up with the accumulating mess.

Did you know the human nose retains at least one "survival trait", in that it will "tune out" strong lingering odors within minutes so it's not too overwhelmed to scent the approach of danger? That was a real blessing because I'd stop gagging after about 10 minutes and the air outside when I'd leave would smell SO FRESH! :) I was driving the family car - '57 Chev Belair - and the rule was blanket on the seat and backrest as long as I was driving and wearing "those" clothes, which I had to change into/out of in the utility room off our kitchen - put them on in there before leaving, take them off in there on returning and toss in the washer, then put on "regular" clothes before continuing through to Mom's kitchen...followed by a shower before I was "acceptable" :) I've had a couple of other "crummy" jobs since then, but I've always been able to remind myself "well, could be worse..." :)

I'm white, but I've experienced racism when I was with black people.
It's interesting that those on the left say that people in the south are racists; all of the 'incidents' that I experienced were in northern Democrat cities.

I have commented several times on your newsletter, and I always say one thing with everyone comment. I appreciate all you do to keep us updated on alot of the events going on that we would not necessarily hear anywhere else. I trust what you say because I really believe that you are a true christian.

I am a getting a little apprehensive about the fact that President Trump seems to be lagging in all the polls. I know it is because of the left because they have used all this that has happened to blame it on him and sadly, people are falling for it. I can't imagine what our country is going to be like if they win this election.

Your column always encourages me and again, I appreciate it so much. God bless you, and please keep doing what you are doing.

    Thank you.

Another good newsletter, Mike. I wonder how many people think, as I do, that if the Dems take House, Senate, and Oval Office this fall, it won't be long before they start trampling on the rights of anyone who doesn't kowtow to them. Lots of prayers needed for these dark days.

    Dear Governor Mike,
I absolutely LOVE your two daily email updates! They give me hope...and sometimes make me laugh out loud.
Don't forget the foxes....had one under a storage shed this spring. Not fun! And...the neighbors (in their infinite wisdom) have many, many chickens which they let roam through the woods up here. Well...the fox apparently ate all except the feathers and I got blamed for having a wild fox in my yard. ??
And...yes...there used to be a big chicken farm out here....the smell was unbelieveable. But...chickens only lay for about three years...then what? I could not kill then....would regard them as "pets".
By the way....foxes look very friendly....even look as though they are smiling at you. Trust this....they are NOT! Perhaps that is where the term "foxy" originated?
Keep emailing pkease..,,I look forward to your columns every day...and your YouTube presentations as well! Thank you for your continued service to this country!

What a relief to read about the inaccuracies of the COVID19 cases. If someone realizes the discrepancies and tries to think critically, you are labeled as a conspiracist. If the numbers are so inaccurate due to false reporting and false positives, then it certainly seems unnecessary for the government to spend 100 billion dollars on HR 6666, the TRACE act.

I know these atifa thugs are not exactly the brightest bulb in the old string of lights and I know this because I was always taught to my be taking a dump in your own back yard. I just bet if they went to the part of the city that actually housed the mayor, it would be a different thing, with the exception of St. Louis, Mo. , where that mayor is even as dumb as they are.
