Do you know one of the greatest rights you have as an American? You can own property. That’s not the case in many places around the world. In China, you can only lease land from the government. You pay, but you never own it.

Owning property and having the right to protect it and not have it taken, used, or destroyed is sacred in American law. At least it used to be.

Recently, St. Louis attorney Mark McCloskey and his wife were about to have dinner on their patio when hundreds of protestors broke down the gate of their privately gated home and descended on their property and threatened to kill them and their dog and burn their house. They called the police, but none came. They retrieved guns and appeared on the porch and told the trespassers to leave. The protestors, seeing the legally owned guns in the hands of the homeowners, decided to move on. But arrests were made from the incident. But it wasn’t any of the mob who broke down a gate, trespassed on private property, and threatened innocent homeowners on their own property who got arrested. It was the McCloskeys. They were charged by local leftist prosecutor Kimberly Gardner with a felony. Yep. Despite the 2nd, 4th, and 5th Amendments to the Constitution and Missouri state law called the Castle Doctrine that guarantees someone to defend their property and person with lethal force if they feel threatened by a trespasser, the loony local DA did nothing to the mob and charged the homeowner with crimes and even confiscated their legally owned firearms. To make it worse, a member of Gardner’s staff allegedly asked the crime lab to alter their firearms once they became evidence. So I do agree someone should go to prison for all this, but it sure isn’t the McCloskys!

Things are upside-down in our country when a government official ignores crime and the people who commit it, but who then criminally charge law-abiding citizens for exercising their rights and protecting their very lives. Even though the MO attorney general has taken steps to intervene and get these nutty charges nullified, and Governor Mike Parsons has pledged he will issue a pardon to the McCloskeys should these bogus charges get successfully prosecuted, the outrage shouldn’t subside. In the rioting and looting that’s taken place in St. Louis in the past few months, not one person has been prosecuted by Kim Gardner for setting fires, looting stores, or throwing objects at police officers. She believes that’s acceptable and defensible behavior. But protecting your property and family? She’d love to lock you up.

President Obama famously said, “elections have consequences.” Man, was he ever right about that! Electing people like Kim Gardner, or Mayors like Bill DeBlasio in NY, or Lori Lightfoot in Chicago or Ted Wheeling in Portland results in putting criminals, thugs, and mobs in the driver’s seat and leaving law-abiding citizens with the responsibility of protecting themselves. This year’s elections will be about many issues, and response to the Chinese virus will certainly be one of them. But if we don’t stop the virus of having elected officials encouraging mob rule and the destruction of private property, and worse, the loss of life by even 1-year-olds to random gun violence, then the virus of uncontrolled crime will kill far more of us than COVID ever did or will.

Despite the vicious and hostile prosecution of the McCloskeys for simply defending their lives and property, as you can tell, they are wealthy enough so as to be able to defend themselves and will probably win in court anyway. But what about YOU? If you can’t defend your home, your family, and yourself all while the police have been defunded or demoralized and sidelined by crazy mayors and governors who justify violence and chaos, then will you be charged with a crime for trying?

When you vote in any election, above what candidates tell you they will do about taxes, or health care, or jobs, you better know what they will do when YOU are threatened to have your property or life taken from you. Will they stand with the criminals or with you? And I don’t care what party they represent if they won’t stand with you, why on God’s earth would you ever stand with them?

Your Tax Dollars At Work: The federal government gave this guy $5 million to subject federal employees to “diversity training” that consists largely of browbeating, shaming and guilt-tripping white people into thinking that everything about them is intrinsically racist. So why are we paying taxes to promote racism?

Here’s a good illustration of why socialism will never defeat the fast-thinking ingenuity of capitalism except by brute force. In New York, Gov. Andrew Cuomo imposed another capricious COVID-19 (Chinese) coronavirus restriction, allowing restaurants to remain open but ordering bars to close.

So how are bar owners responding? “Would you like to see our new food menu, featuring such delicacies as the ‘$1 Bowl of Chips’? That’s right: we’re a restaurant now!”

First paragraph you mention how in China you lease the land from the Government. The way property taxes are rising every year and if not the tax rate itself the value its like leasing your home from the government here in Texas.

The women should be fired NOW. Not at re-election time. She lied. She swore, by oath to uphold the Constitution. But instead, spit on it, and defiled it. She doesn't represent our America and what it stands for. Move somewhere where you can be a socialist puppet.

Mike, I wonder if you would address voting in person this November. My guess is that there will be folks who would like to vote in person but are afraid of COVID and now afraid of the ANTIFA Terrorists. What assurances do we get from the government that we can vote in person safely ?
    Thank you.

Governor Mike, Thank you for your daily menu of writings. You know, I appreciate your updates, insights and perspective on today's current issues. I'm also glad you asked Roberts to resign from his position. How can we proactively do something for the country we so appreciate to get rid of or at least attempt to balance or offset all the bad news every single day?

Thanks for listening and offering a space for comments!

There is no real right to own property since if we don't pay the taxes on whatever property it is the powers that be will take it as a result of non payment. There should not be property taxes, those agencies that tax should use some other form of tax, probably most fair would be a consumption tax.

Again, Mike, I implore you to fight this latest stimulus package! USA cannot afford it. Where are the people in Congress who promote our reducing the debt, not enlarge it more than necessary. For the life of me I cannot see how my getting $1200 is going to help our economy. These rules re the Virus have got to be REDUCED DRASTICALLY. That will help. Curtail most that unemployment stipend, by all means if all else fails.

Decades of unlawful, unconstitutional, self-interest conduct of government officials led the way for the bolder lawless people in authority and anarchists of today, that is: business, business paid lobbyists, and government collusion for profits that harms citizens; government officials and representatives of the people disregarding the law, the Constitution and failing to protect the people and their God given and lawful rights; representatives of the people enriching themselves and their families; no law, no one, and no way to hold representatives and government officials accountable including no law, no one, and no way to hold representatives and officials accountable for deceiving the American people, for violating their oath of office.

RE: Jimmy Kindle " who authorized sending several million dollars to that lab in China who evidently released the virus the has shut us down?".
The lab was built by the French. And the French were supposed to help get the Wuhan BSL-4 lab up and running and were going to stay and help the Chinese run the lab for about one year.
However once the lab was up and running the French were told by the Chinese Government that they ( the French ) were no longer needed. And the rest is history. By the photos of the lab prior to the virus outbreak, the lab was improperly operated and had poor safety procedures for a BSL-4 Lab which most likely ultimately led to the world pandemic via scientists and employees who worked in the lab.
All of which leads to the big question. What was going on in the Wuhan BSL-4 lab that the Chinese wanted the French Scientists to leave? Why was everything so secret? Most likely we will never know the true and correct answers.

Why should the McCloskys be required to defend themselves in court to begin with? Why should they have to spend one minute or dollar defending themselves from an already lawful act? Kim Gardner should be immediately fired then indicted. The governor should also have instantly disposed of this malicious prosecution. Until there are real consequences for these officials across the country this insanity will continue. Every one of these unlawful acts by elected officials should all result in dismissals and prosecution for not protecting their constituents period.

Mike, The United States has a severe problem when a local official can charge you with a felony for exercising your constitutional rights. What this Gardner woman did is professional misconduct at the very least. If she were reporting to me she would be fired on the spot.

Are corrupt prosecutors immune from prosecution? The abuse of power demonstrated by Kimberly Gardner is one thing but the fact she gets away with it and isn't removed from office and isn't disbarred is another thing.

No one has been indicted for the fabrication of crimes and the attempted coup to overthrow the 2016 election. No one. Two US attorney generals and nearly 4 years of evidence and no one held to account. THAT is why the Democrat Party is so emboldened to embrace lawlessness and redirect blame to President Trump. Where is the one voice of the Republican Party speaking against it the lawlessness. Mitch McConnel and Kevin McCarthy that represent the party in congress should be getting in front of the microphone and speaking in one voice against the voice of Nancy Pelosi and the media that are lying to the public. They should also be talking about the AFFH and what Biden would do if elected.

Dear Mr. Huckabee, I surely am grateful for your show where I can hear sane news and information, thank you!

BUT, I have been very confuse and disappointed as to what has surfaced in the US. I never thought the country is really run by mayors and governors. I thought the President presided over them. How can these demonic mayors and governors be allow to hurt the citizens, create and allow chaos to suit their party’s affiliation and political agenda. Isn’t this a violation of their oath? If they are violating the law and directly causing chaos, why are they allowed to continue? Where is the power of the President? Seems the US wants to run every other country except their own. What’s the use of voting when we are not guaranteed what the Constitution states? Criminals are given royal treatment and are protected by these Mayors without consequences. Seems that China has moved in to our country area by area. Is there really a plot behind all this and even the President is a decoy? I thought the US was different but it’s just another Venezuela in the works. Votes don’t really count, let’s be honest, it’s the Democrats really running the show. I hope you reply. Thank you. God bless.

Your having the Abernathy family on and telling their story his very close to home. My older brother was born with a right hand. He can play a mean guitar by taping a pick to his right arm. Little did my parents know when they sent him for lessons as physical therapy that my brother would end up displaying a great talent.
By the way, the kids stole the end of the show when I spotted them dancing on the side while their dad and the band played!

Last Thursday I wrote a warning Comment to the white girls in the suburbs that Biden was coming for them to destroy the burbs. Last nite Mark Levin on his show brought to light how true Biden will bring Urban rule to the suburbs. The show brought the inside way on how Biden will do it bankrupting the suburbs and destroying single family home dwellings the American Dream destroyed from within. Not sure many White suburban Women read your newsletter the people in general better perk up and see what Biden plans for the Suburbs. I think it used be called Urban Sprawl.

Private property, especially for those living in the suburbs should be a subject of discussion in this election. The AFFH, AFFIRMATIVELY FURTHERING FAIR HOUSING, will destroy the suburbs and takes control of local governments and gives it to the federal government.
The suburban women who are against Trump better realize that a Biden administration will destroy the place where they live

But they won't win because 7/27/20 Monday’s Scripture: Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”
(We take the word trust for granted. The dictionary says trust is a firm belief in the reliability, truth, ability or strength of someone or something. Before we knew our Lord Jesus Christ through our new birth, we trusted the world to provide for our needs. But the wisdom of the world which elevated self to a position of authority failed, because sooner or later we realized that self was only gratification for our own pride, without power to accomplish anything. But when we surrendered the egotism of self to our new Lord, we realized that we are human and lack control no matter how capable we are, and that we don’t have all the answers. Then another word became intertwined with trust….faith. “Faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen” (Heb. 11:1). Through faith We accepted that new presence in our lives; God, the Holy Spirit who came to live in us to remove the world’s clouds of confusion and fear. We chose to leave that unreliable wisdom behind and follow where our new Lord would lead. “For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit” (Rom. 8:5). We now wanted to walk in the Spirit with a new need to pray about everything as we began to understand that we must not try to stop the Spirit or change his direction because our own thoughts are foolishness with God (1 Cor. 3:19). We realized that we were overly optimistic about our own capabilities, our own views, which could poison us to God’s will as illustrated by Israel on their journey from Egypt “When they came to Marah, they could not drink the waters of Marah, for they were bitter” (Ex. 15:23) but knowing that they needed water God showed Moses how to make it sweet and fit to drink, by throwing a piece of wood remove its poison. This is very much what he did for us as we began our new journey into his kingdom, casting our sins into the blood our Lord shed on the cross to purify and cleanse us from the poison of sin! We now feel a new necessity to spend personal time with him as we learn that no matter how strange this new walk may seem our new desire is to say YES! But God leaves us a warning: “Take care brothers, lest there be in any of you an evil, unbelieving heart, leading you to fall away from the living God” (Heb. 3:12-19). We must guard our hearts for everything we do flows from it (Prov. 4:23-27), being careful about the paths where we place our feet, remaining steadfast in all our ways. We have been given a priceless gift “Trust in the Lord and not our own understanding, as we submit to him, he promises to make our paths straight. We must never forget that we are new creatures with new lives as children of a God who loved us so much that he died to give us that privilege!)

Sorry to disagree but we never own our property there’s a little thing called property tax which is something larger than the monthly payment to own the property. We pay for improvements upkeep etc. and if we don’t pay our tax guess who gets your house.

In reading Matthew 8 tonight, the ultimate end-the-riots solution hit me like a pie in the face when I read about Jesus casting the demons into the swine.

Hunters need to trap as many wild hogs as possible, find some fellow friends with cattle trailers, load up the hogs, and make special deliveries to the democratic cities where the violence and riots are happening.

Talk about piggies going to market! It should send people wee-wee-weeing all the way home.

yes these people are voted in sometimes because they promise what they know sounds good - advertisements and uninformed voters. But, after DeBlasio has shown that he is a racist and does not follow his oath of office and is obviously the worst Mayor in all of history - there should be a way to request him to leave or to force him to leave after all his wife "Lost" millions of dollars and nothing is said no he intends to give her more money all the while taking it from the police department. I believe there is corruption here and yet, its as if there is noone watching who is over him that can impose questions on him. I did not realize that you can practically do anything and get away with it. Also where is it said that he has the right to put any political name on the New York Streets if it is ok how about NRA or TRUMP 2020 etc. does he get to decide what is written on the streets I thought this was America not China - I did not realize that being Mayor made him a "King." Someone please tell me how we can get him out ASAP like now not the next election.
