August 10, 2020

Over the weekend, President Trump issued four executive orders to help Americans cope with continuing COVID-19 (Chinese) coronavirus lockdowns. They provide relief from student loan payments and help in avoiding eviction for inability to pay rent and mortgages, a payroll tax deferral through 2020 for employers and workers earning less than $100,000 a year, and an extension of expanded unemployment pay at $400 a week extra, a compromise between the $200 Senate Republicans wanted and the $600 House Democrats wanted.

Democrats such as Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi viciously attacked Trump, accusing him of everything from not doing enough or really doing anything at all to violating the Constitution by legislating through executive orders (reminder: these same people fought tooth and nail defending the DACA program that Obama created by executive order after repeatedly admitting he had no Constitutional authority to do so, and that’s just one of numerous examples of his legislating via EO’s, such as the Iran nuclear deal.) And as if it matters anymore whether executive orders are Constitutional (I guess it only matters when the President is a Republican), here’s a Twitter thread by a law professor who doesn’t support Trump or agree with the orders, but who explains why they are constitutional.

I suspect Pelosi and company are really spitting blood because they know Trump has boxed them in big time. Senate Republicans have been trying to get the House Democrats to work with them and pass a relief extension bill, but the Democrats dragged this out as long as possible, making ridiculous partisan demands that had nothing to do with emergency aid, like instituting mail-in voting or abolishing voter ID. If Americans suffered while they fiddled, that was a feature not a bug. Most people can understand that if they'd really cared and worked hard enough, even the math-challenged House Democrats could have arrived at $400 as a compromise between $200 and $600 (well, maybe not AOC.)

Blue state politicians have shut down their economies endlessly because China released a virus on the world, and Democrats are trying to blame Trump for everything from the resulting economic damage to the virus itself. He’s now stepped in and done their job for them yet again, helping Americans and in the same four strokes of his signature, highlighting how the Dems put politics ahead of helping Americans. Whether you agree with the orders or not, they were a political masterstroke. And at least when Trump did something politically advantageous, it helped Americans rather than hurting them.

Remember when the big complaint from teachers was that parents weren’t involved enough in what their kids were doing in school? Well, for some teachers, the biggest problem with holding online classes is their fear that parents might be watching and find out just what they’re indoctrinating our kids with.

A Philadelphia teacher let the cat out of the bag by tweeting that “We’ll never be quite sure who is overhearing the discourse,” and that if parents hear what their kids are being told, it will ruin the “safe space” and “what happens here stays here” environment. He wrote that while “damage can come from the left, too,” his main concern is “conservative parents”: “If we are engaged in the messy work of destabilizing a kid’s racism or homophobia or transphobia – how much do we want their classmates’ parents piling on?”

This sparked so much furious backlash that the teacher made his Twitter account private, but not before the comments had been captured. You can see them at the link, along with one from another teacher who agreed that “parents are dangerous.”

As several of the commenters pointed out, the idea of an adult trying to seal children off and tell them things that they shouldn’t let their parents know about is intensely creepy and a giant alarm bell. In this case, the child abuse it signals is mental abuse. This teacher works at the Science Leadership Academy. How about teaching the kids’ science instead of indoctrinating them into leftist identity group/victimology dogma?

The pandemic has been a terrible curse, but at least it’s opening parents’ eyes to what their kids are being "taught" and why they come home from school spouting leftist propaganda that sounds like their homework assignment was to memorize Bernie Sanders’ presidential platform. No wonder so many parents say they’ve decided to keep on home-schooling. This story confirms the wisdom of that decision.

Sorry to link to the New York Times, which is behind a paywall, but nobody else has this story yet. It’s about several black New York City council members who oppose defunding the NYPD and blast white progressives for pushing it, comparing their harming of black communities by speaking for them to “colonization” and “political gentrification.” They have a point.

Failed “Fact Checker” News: Gee, I thought concerns about problems with mail-in voting were a “myth” pushed by Republicans who just want to suppress the votes of loyal Democratic constituencies? If by that, they mean they want to prevent ballots from being mailed to dead people, then okay.

Constitutional Rights For Me, But Not For Thee: The city of Dallas, which was perfectly okay with allowing mass anti-police demonstrations, shut down a planned convention by the conservative group Young Americans for Liberty just three days before it was set to begin, citing the spike in coronavirus cases (and I wonder what caused that?)

Politicians claimed it was the hotel’s decision, but that hotel is run by the city. Republican South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem, who was scheduled to speak at the event, called it “surprising, coming from Texas.” But unfortunately, the left has made big inroads in Texas, at least in urban areas. The major cities are all run not just by Democrats but by far-left “progressives” (recall the similar situation in Houston, which allowed mass protests but canceled the state GOP convention.)

I don’t know if this is because even Texas allowed leftists to take over schools and indoctrinate children, or if so many people fled blue states but brought the policies with them that they fled from. But you can certainly see the results. Not just in the blatant partisanship and disregard for First Amendment rights, but also in the spiraling crime. US cities are disproportionately run by Democrats, so it’s hardly surprising that murder is up in 36 of our 50 largest cities. But it might surprise you to learn that at #1, with a 64% increase in murders in one year, was Austin, Texas.

But when you realize how liberal the “Keep Austin Weird” government of the Lone Star State’s bluest city is, then maybe it’s not so surprising after all.

Today's Bible verse will be one to hang onto fiercely in the next few weeks. No matter the outcome of the election, it's going to be rough. We have to pray for our safety and our future, that God is there for us. He loves this country, He will do the best for us and we Must obey His commandments.

Why isn't Minnesota doing anything about the criminal charges that should be levied against Ilhan Omar with regards to her marriage to her brother in terms of immigration fraud, filing false tax returns, paying her husband's firm hundreds of thousands of dollars for "consulting" work, her being married to two men at once, etc., etc.
If you or I did that Mr. Huckabee, we would have been sitting in a prison cell someplace a long time ago.
This could have big implications for her running for office again.
    Just asking.

Sir, I hope it is not wrong of me, to ask you this, BUT, I have to know, is President Trump trying to do away with social security? I don't care if he is fixing it, I just want to make sure that for those of us where it is our only source of income in our later years, that it will be there for us?!?!

As a suburban Houstonian I see the change in Texas politics is largely due to West Coast transplants fleeing high taxes while bringing their progressive politics with them. They want all the "free" goodies they had in California, Washington & Oregon while foolishly forgetting that there is no free lunch. Texas will become a Blue state, if not in 2020, by 2024. There just doesn't seem to be a cure for stupidity. And the damage done by these transplants is matched by the so-called educators from pre-K through University levels.

Even Texas? That is sad. That was one state we thought we might escape to. But yes - liberals flee to cities and states and bring their insane policies and demands with them. We find this true in Bend, Oregon where we're overwhelmed with new residents, many from California.

I cannot believe a teacher or teachers actually made those comments that you quotes. "Parents are dangerous." Dear God. Please help parents to keep on top of what their kids are being taught. This is horrible. I'm so very thankful that our youngest son's wife homeschools their kids. A huge blessings and thanks to God.

I love the President's Executive orders! He did the right thing for the citizens. The power/money behind all these anti-un-American protesters & destroyers leaves me speechless daily. I think the President's hands are tied because it would make matters worst for his re-election to bring in the "big guns." I don't know how Marshall Law works, but if & when he gets re-elected, I hope the government would clean up the destroyers. Look what they did in Georgetown, DC! Story after story. I don't live in Texas. but what the news is reporting, I fear for that state turning blue. I live in a blue state, but there aren't too many republicans here. I vote RED!!

Thank you for all your updates. My children are now grown but when they were young I pulled them out of the public schools & put them in a private Catholic school (& I'm not Catholic - but they are). I did it for higher academic learning (although my district has a very high rating) as well as teaching them to be morally upstanding children. I would never want my children to be taught anything that does not coincide with my Christian values. Teachers are supposed to teach....not give their own opinions. The teacher you wrote about should be fired. I worked as an asst. teacher for many years from pre-school to emotionally disturbed teenagers. My job was to help them learn academically & teach them right from wrong only.

Note to my fellow NV citizens! Re:
Nevada Seeks A Totalitarian Approach To ‘Curb Racism’, Illegally Uses Emergency Powers To Assuage BLM

There is a difference between Awake and Woke. Our Governor is Woke and just demonstrated it. Last straw. Time for recall! If his Racism Proclamation doesn’t inspire you nothing will.

We have watched his Affirmative Action pick to handle Unemployment fall flat on her face. We watched him decide what medication doctors can use to treat the virus. We continue to endure the endless chains of lockdowns whose “one size fits all” approach makes little sense. His Press Conferences are so dramatic and inspiring the he makes Biden look like a dynamo.

We only need 300K signatures for a recall. Please join me and recruit others.

People don't get your hopes up for a conviction of Obama and his gang of thugs the deep state is not going to allow it all Most of the members in Congress have done lawmaking that sent jobs out of the country made deals with huge corporations all have voted to put pork into bills that benefited themselves the Congress members are all connected that if one speaks against one they all speak against each other that is what prohibits justice to be conducted. The immense problem for Donald Trump is he seeking Justice against a huge organized crime family with criminals running the justice system start with Roberts on the Supreme Court and it filters to the districts and everyone had a chance to see how that works. Look no further than Obama Biden Kerry these are dishonest people and corrupt is the only description for them and the Deep State. Graham is not going to get them he is a paper Tiger that I have described before. Just hope Trump gets reelected I have hoped for A truck load of executive pens to sign executive orders.

(I received this from a friend)

There is a good message here.
A young man visited the Great Lakes Military Cemetery in Holly, Oakland County, Michigan.
While reflecting on what he saw, he wrote a short poem:
I don't see any color here,
    The headstones look the same,
No black, no brown, no white skin tone,
There's no one here to blame.
(There was a picture included in this space showing headstone and flags but it did not copy.)
These soldiers fought and died for you,
    Their color you can't see,
    Your rights are still protected,
Here's the place to take a knee.

I would like to know why an investigation is not going on concerning Bill Gates and Fachi who seem to be very close. It would seem that they could be in collusion concerning the possible mandatory vaccine for the virus and the steadfast fight to resist the use of hydroxycholochin (spelling) which many doctors are telling us that it is very successful in the treatment of the virus. It would seem that Bill Gates has a lot to gain in regards to his policies concerning over population, and the deaths of those who allow the vaccine to be injected plus huge profits when a vaccine is quickly provided which could result in the deaths of many who could be helped by hydroxychorochin right now.

As a displace TEXIAN, I can vouch for the FACT that Texans have not Re-Produced enough in the last 20 years to account for the move to Progressive ideology- The INFLUX from FAILED States is the PROBLEM. I lived in Houston and surrounding suburbs for 62 of my 82 years, so I have a living account of the problem and traffic was a factor but the loss of civility and PRIDE are leading factors.
The media is once again TRYING to Drive the agenda because they Failed so badly in 2016. I expect the media( aka the LEFTIST) to pull out all the stops and with ONLY feeds like this one to get out the TRUTH, I'm NOT counting my Chickens- YET- Maybe the Real America's are wise enough to see thru the fog and Vote the ANTI-Americans to the Dustbin!

It is amazing to me to watch to what lengths the alphabet channels will go to twist Trump's 4 executive orders into "bad news". They show a picture of each good thing and then a sign gets stamped on top of the picture like "expired" on top of an eviction notice as if Trump stopped all the 4 good things from continuing or going through!! Satan is the father of lies and boy, do these people have problems from their father.

If you would or could, suggest to President Trump or your daughter to make public anyway they can, information out to the public , that the penalty for voter fraud is nothing to take lightly. According to my limited research the penalty ranges from $100 to $10,000 and 1 to 10 years prison. ALL VOTERS MUST BE US CITIZENS of age as determined by the individual state.
The crime of fraud not only applies to the voter but can also apply to those handling the ballots .
So all involved in the process should be careful. Non-citizens may find them selves DEPORTED.
This threat should not be taken lightly in 2020.
One ref: The Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigration Reprehensibility Act 1996.
    Thank you Keith

Parents have the perfect opportunity to find out what their kids are being taught in public school, and if they don't take the time to do it they will have miserably failed their kids. It would help the future of America, and the kids wouldn't be deceived in so many important ways, by learning truth instead of lies. I hope many parents will be convicted in their hearts to do this.
Again I will say I despise Pelosi and Shumer.

I hope President Trump continues to do all he can to improve things for all Americans ,yes especially those affected by the pandemic.

I sent an email this am about this "Holiday Tax Bill "and am seriously concerned about Social Security with this action. There is NO mention of Social Security in it as for what will now happen to all us who depend on it for our source of income.
    Please let us ALL know.
