I am often challenged as to how a practicing Christian believer and former pastor can support Donald Trump with his many character flaws. First of all, it’s not my place to judge someone else’s character. I’ve also never made it a secret that I find some of the President's language, tweets and behavior to be less reverent than I would like. But God has not sent us any perfect people in the past 2,000 years. When choosing a President, you have to consider more than whether you approve of someone’s personality and temperament. You have to consider what that person will do for (or to) America and the world.

When I look at how President Trump has defended life, religious liberty and Israel, and how he has worked so hard to restore American strength, protect the innocent, end terrorism, and create jobs and rising wages for all Americans – and I compare that to the far-left, job-killing, tax-raising, government-bloating, free speech-destroying, student-indoctrinating, religion-crushing, gender-confusing, crime-condoning, border-erasing, abortion-at-all-stages agenda of the Democrats – it is simply no contest.

Wayne Grudem is a Distinguished Research Professor of Theology and Biblical Studies at Phoenix Seminary in Arizona, and it’s obvious that he's heard similar arguments about how he can reconcile being an Evangelical Christian with supporting Trump. He’s written a response that is lengthy, but it’s incredibly thoughtful, well-reasoned and persuasive.

I strongly urge you to read it, bookmark it and share it with everyone you can. There are enough Christians in American that if we would just go to the polls and vote for candidates who support our values, there would be a permanent end to the government’s war on people of faith.

There’s only one change I would suggest to Prof. Grudem’s case. When he says today’s Democratic Party would “allow abortion up to the moment of birth,” I would add, “and well beyond.”

I agree with you always!! I know you are a man of God and you would not be endorsing Trump for president if you didn’t have FAITH that he will follow Jesus Christ and keepHim in his prayers for America!! He is not a perfect man, but can any of us make that claim?? We are all sinners saved by the blood that Jesus shed on that evil cross ?? and we must trust in God to give us DJT again in November!! I, of course will vote for Trump and Pence, to do otherwise would doom America to communism,!! VOTE RED OR AMERICA IS DEAD!!

Thank You HUCK!!! The President has done wonders for America just as you say!! He's been a heavy load to carry at times, tho! I like the way you point out the reasons he IS the only one we could vote for last time and especially this time. The other side is walking farther & farther from the Lord's side. I wish my friends & family could see & understand what we are truly up against.

Sir, I am so sick and tired of Christians still judging this president for his previous life before being duly elected. And I can assuredly say that some of their judgements toward him are coming from behind the pulpits. Who do we think we are? I hear Christians say, “nothing happens by coincidence. God is in control.”
I’m in a church now where the preacher just got caught having an affair with a married woman who attends my church. I used to attend a church where the preacher got up and asked the congregation to pray for him because he was addicted to pornography. And women are sinful too. May his self proclaimed female judges also know that gossip is just as equal sin as murder. Come on ladies, you know what I’m talking about. It is God who put Donald J. Trump in the Oval Office. Not a Coincidence people. He appointed this man for this time in history, and all of you Christians should be on your faces thanking God for him. God sent Jesus and the world rejected Him. God sent little David, and they mocked and ridiculed him,a little child to kill the giant? But GOD chose and sent him. God blessed America with Donald J. Trump, and a lot of Christians rejected him. Since when did God step down off His Throne a validate you or me as Jury and Judge? Are you so without sin to cast the first stone? The men and women in churches that live together and are not married to each other, should we throw the first stone? One more thing. You Christian women, if you don’t know what locker room talk is, you must have been born under a rock.

My grandson is a very healthy 10 month old boy who was born 2 1/2 months premature. If I could post photos you would see an adorable baby with a sweet smile on his face who could have legally been murdered 2 1/2 months after the photo was taken! That’s a wake up call to anyone who has a soul that voting Democratic is not an option.

Hi Governor-As a Christian, I am appalled at the hypocrisy of other believers who have been forgiven for their sins yet stand to judge this President. I wonder how they would stack up if they were to be judged with the same standard they use against Donald Trump. I thank God every day for this President and pray for him daily-he needs prayer, not condemnation. I feel pastors are greatly to be blamed for the condition of the church, as they worry more about the opinions of men rather than Christ. The complacency of christians towards abortion, gay marriage and any other social change is grievous to me. The devil's children sure haven't "checked out". Unless the church wakes up and soon, I don't believe this nation will survive as a free nation. Thank you for standing for truth, I pray we can raise up a new generation of pastors that will boldly speak up for righteousness.
