"Huckabee" Preview

By Mike Huckabee

It’s been a rough week for us all, so lean back in your recliner tonight and enjoy a new episode of “Huckabee” on TBN. I’ll talk to outgoing Georgia Rep. Doug Collins about this week’s Senate runoffs and what the results mean. On a more optimistic note, former Miss America Betty Maxwell will tell us how to keep the faith when you’re facing long odds. One of the most amazing magicians you’ll ever see, Xavier Mortimer, will visit from Vegas to astound you. I’ll talk with the CEO of America’s favorite restaurant chain. And we’ll top it all with a classic hit from country music legend, Moe Bandy.

It all starts tonight at 8 and 11 EST, 7 and 10 CST, and Sunday at 9 EST/8 CST, on TBN. To find out where you can watch TBN, from local cable and broadcast channels to streaming, visit https://www.huckabee.tv and click on “Channel Finder” on the top menu. You can stream previous episodes, highlights and online-only “Digital Exclusives,” including extended interviews, “In Case You Missed It” and “Facts of the Matter” segments, and extra performances by our great musical and comedy guests, all at https://www.huckabee.tv. The Left begins their purge

By Mike Huckabee

It should come as no surprise to students of history that when leftists gain power, their first impulse is to launch a purge of their perceived enemies and to criminalize any criticism of them. This is usually predicated on some convenient “emergency.” This time around, it was the violence in Congress by a handful of hotheaded Trump supporters, and, as is now coming to light, other agitators. Democrats usually overplay their hands and infuriate this mostly center-right nation (remember how they were voted out after shoving Obamacare down our throats), but never in history have the party and its enablers been so far to the left and so drunk on power, and never have they dived so quickly into their deepest totalitarian impulses.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is hilariously demanding the expulsion from Congress of all Republicans who exercised their constitutional right to challenge the electoral vote until alleged irregularities were investigated. She and other Democrats are claiming that they allegedly “incited” the Capitol violence, even though they said nothing whatsoever to encourage it. Sen. Ted Cruz explained why that is utter nonsense (other than the fact that it came out of AOC’s mouth.)

It’s obvious that she doesn’t understand free speech any better than she understands economics, since there are very specific laws that define “incitement,” and nothing they or Trump said falls under that definition. You can’t hold someone else accountable for the actions of irrational people who misconstrue what they said, or else the Beatles would’ve been arrested for the Manson murders.

However, if AOC seriously thinks that egging on protesters on the sacred grounds of the Capitol is an offense worthy of expulsion from Congress, I would remind everyone that in 2018, she joined about 200 “youth activists” who stormed Nancy Pelosi’s office to demand action on climate change and refused to leave, an illegal incursion into the sacred temple of democracy that resulted in 51 of them being arrested by the Capitol Police. If she could tender her resignation by Monday, that would be great.

Oh, and it’s not just those protesters in Pelosi's office who had AOC’s approval. She also excused violent protesters across America, justifying their actions under the need to make people “uncomfortable.” And she did it on Twitter, where it’s now being dug up and retweeted, which is why she’s calling on Twitter to remove it. You see, conservatives are engaging in “misinformation” by quoting her directly. Anyone want to bet against Twitter accommodating her?

Speaking of Nancy Pelosi, she’s attempting to blame President Trump for inciting the violence and demanding that Congress impeach him. That would mark an appropriate bookend for the most recent do-nothing House term, which started with a pointless, groundless, time-wasting impeachment of Donald Trump and could actually end the same way, if they hurry up. They’ll have to hurry, since he’s leaving office anyway in 11 days, and the chances of a trial and a two-thirds vote by the Senate before then are absolutely zero. But why waste time on the people’s urgent business when you can continue attacking Trump with the single-minded hatred of Inspector Javert trying to send Jean Valjean back to prison for stealing a loaf of bread?

As for Trump “inciting” violence: I’ve already made it clear that I disapproved of Trump’s rhetoric and thoroughly condemn the assault on the Capitol, a stupid and counterproductive action that set back the conservative movement and handed the left a club to bash us with. But did he actually “incite” anyone to commit violence? Law professor Ann Althouse read through his entire speech and could find nothing of the sort. Here are the seven quotes that came closest to that, and none of them even come very close.

And it appears that with the Democrats so swiftly tipping their hand that they hypocritically flipped positions overnight on condemning violent protesters and immediately started abusing their power and demonizing 75 million Trump supporters, the backlash is starting with equal swiftness. Rasmussen reports that in just two days after the Wednesday violence and the Democrats’ attempts to exploit it by calling for Trump’s removal by impeachment or the 25th Amendment, his approval rating has soared.

Just before Christmas, Trump was at 45% approval. As of Thursday night, that had leaped to 51%. A source close to Rasmussen told Newsmax, “Americans are disgusted that cities burned for months and Washington and the media did nothing. But they still like Trump.”

Moral: Don’t let leftist politicians and the media gaslight you. They may try to silence what you say, but they can’t stop you from seeing what they are.

More "Great Purge" news

By Mike Huckabee

In other “Great Purge” news, Big Tech companies are moving swiftly to show their true colors in the wake of the Democrats’ Senate win. Feeling their oats and their power, Twitter permanently suspended President Trump’s personal account for allegedly “inciting violence.” As examples, they cited two tweets. Read them at this link and see if you can find any incitement to violence in them.

It’s such ironfisted overreach that even the ACLU voiced concerns about it.

Incidentally, that story says that Twitter “cited ‘plans for future armed protests’ circulating on Twitter and offline, and ‘a proposed secondary attack on the U.S. Capitol and state capitol buildings on January 17, 2021’ as contributing to its decision-making.” So if that's circulating on Twitter, why not ban those accounts?

Twitter also banned attorney Sidney Powell and former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn, claiming it was to protect people from “harm on and off of Twitter.”

As the story at the link notes, this came after Michelle Obama called on social media platforms to ban Trump, accusing him of “monstrous behavior” that “fuels insurrection.” If you don’t recall that name, she’s the wife of the recent President who told a rally crowd that if Republicans bring a knife to the fight, “we bring a gun,” and whose White House rep told Democratic Senators that if they get hit, “punch back twice as hard.” Quite inciteful comments indeed.

Also among those purged was Brandon Straka’s #WalkAway page on Facebook. They banned Straka and every member of his team, many of whom have businesses that rely on Facebook. It’s not clear why Facebook would do this, since Straka’s page doesn’t advocate anything except leaving the Democratic Party if you’re fed up with its recent embrace of violence, intolerance and censorship. Straka is a gay former Democrat who started the page to give fellow Democrats a place to air their disapproval of their party’s totalitarian drift. It has half a million personal testimonials from people of all races, genders and sexual orientations.

The #WalkAway page is now on CloutHub.com, a free speech alternative to Facebook. You can find their website online and download apps for your phone from the Apple and Google stores… But you’d better hurry!

Yesterday, Google removed the Parler app from its Google Play store, and Apple is threatening to do it and might have by the time you read this. They’re demanding that Parler impose the same kind of monitoring of speech that Twitter, Facebook and Google’s YouTube do, to “protect” us from the tiny segment of far-right users who might be using the sites to incite violence and spread misinformation, as they define it. There are also countless legitimate users on Parler, including me: https://parler.com/profile/MikeHuckabee/posts

A reminder: These tech giants have allowed leftist groups such as Antifa and BLM to use their sites to organize protests that turned into riots, they allow violent rhetoric and death threats aimed at conservatives, and they’ve even turned a blind eye to Iran posting “death to America” rhetoric. But they ban the US President and those who support him.

Congressional Republicans made a big mistake in not reining in their partisan monopolistic practices when they had the chance. That won’t happen now, but I expect to see a flood of lawsuits following this, along with product boycotts and a mass exodus of millions of users. But where will they go if these leftist corporations abuse their power to strangle or force censorship onto alternative sites?

I asked our pop culture expert, Pat Reeder, for some tips on that. Here’s what he wrote back…

“I’m far from a tech expert, but I’ve been working via computer since before there was an Internet, so I’ve picked up a few tips.

First of all, why are you still paying premium prices to Apple? It’s not as if Steve Jobs still runs the place. They appear to be putting far more thought, time and energy into censorship, leftist virtue-signaling and kissing China’s rump than into R&D and consumer satisfaction these days. Here’s an example of how they’re doing lately, and it’s only one of countless such videos on YouTube (just search for ‘Apple sucks.’)

https://youtu.be/MKJjLwMUPJI

Currently, Parler’s app for cell phones is available at Parler.com only by clicking on icons that take you to the Google or Apple app stores. But there’s nothing stopping them from offering it for direct download, which I suspect is coming very soon. Here’s an article about how that works with apps that Apple decides you shouldn’t be allowed to have:

As for the Android version that’s been banned from the Google Play Store, if you don’t have it already, try here:

If you scroll down, you’ll also find the app for MeWe, a free speech alternative to Facebook. But I’d suggest you do it quickly. (Another is CloutHub.com.)

If that doesn’t work, try here

And there are others, if you look hard. Remember, you can always subscribe to Parler and use it through your tablet, laptop or desktop by signing up at www.parler.com, which I hope you’ll be accessing through a browser that protects your privacy (NOT Google Chrome!) Here’s some information comparing some top choices. Firefox is rated #1, as long as you go into the Settings and disable the functions that send information back to its parent, Mozilla.

Worse comes to worse, conservatives can abandon these social media sites entirely and go back to independent blog sites and web pages, which prevailed before the big Facebook/Twitter takeover. Or just hang out at www.mikehuckabee.com, where you get real news, brilliant writing and a comments section.

Remember, it’s called ‘free speech’ because no matter how hard some people try to cage it, it will always find a way to escape.

Facebook and twitter these companies do not care if conservatives quit these outlets the majority of its users are outside the Nation's borders and the leaders outside don't want their people to hear conservative views in places like China Iran and other countries that hate America. Its political yes also a larger reason for banned conservative views it doesn't sell well in Communist and Socialist Nations or envious countries although envy will probably not be as strong when Harris and Biden finish with its term the country will become the laughing and high fifing stock around the Communist communities by the 4 of July look back at this moment.

    Left twitter several years ago.
Just signed up for gab.com this morning as I did t care for MeWe platform. Gab seems easier to navigate and bypasses Apple and Google.
I will check out clout hub as well. You know I thought our founding fathers out protections in place of tyranny in government occurs, as it has for years. President Trump was courageous trying to preserve the nations foundations and was the only President that actually did what he said in moving the embassy to Jerusalem, and started to expose the corruption. Where are the rest of the people who believe in preserving our foundations? Or are they too scared and feel threatened by the super self appointed elites. I’m not in favor of violence; however Flashpoint exposed who some of the other agitators were and no one else really did. For example the man w horns at Capitol was in a photo outside Capitol with Nancy Pelosi’s son in law..... hmmm

How does this idea that these media sites are PRIVATE and can discriminate against whomever they wish with the first amendment rights of Masterpiece Bakery who refused to bake a cake for a gay wedding? Either it is a violation for BOTH or NOT a violation for BOTH.

This started back when the ignorant people elected Osama the islamic dictator into office, he started this and has been still pulling their apron strings and telling them just what he wants done to finish the destruction of this country to his communist agenda. I lived through the socialist gov't in Vietnam during the war, we veterans know just how it goes. Their take over of this gov't started way back then and will not be finished until we all stand tall and do something about taking this country back, it will take a coup to do just that, and it is happening in this country. I have said for years now, the war in this country will take place in a street near you all over this country because the American people have had enough of their corruption now.

After reading your comments above and seeing the actions and words of various members of Congress over the past couple of days, and the election results in GA, I am worried that the USA is going to go the way of the USSR, namely secret police, massive arrests and incarcerations and executions of anyone and everyone opposed in any way to President Harris (you don't think Biden will last long before they invoke the 25th, do you?), AOC, Shumer and Pelosi and friends. The only thing that might save us from an outright purge of everyone is the fact that many of the conservative citizens in this nation are armed and many of those have planned for and stockpiled reserves to see them through hard times. I cannot say I am either of those, but I fear that a Soviet-style purge may be coming and we will all be in the crosshairs, especially after they review social media records, voting records (for anyone who voted as a republican in a primary election) and anyone who meets their blacklist criteria will targeted, arrested and thrown into a gulag. Of course, first they'll cut off all computer access, phone and television utilities, electric and gas and bank accounts and credit and debit cards, effectively paralyzing us. That's what I fear will happen and probably sooner rather than later. They'll start with public figures, but then they'll get the little guys, too, because they fear us, that we will rise up, weaponized and seize power from them because they are trying to arrest and even kill the majority of the deplorable chump population. They are shortsighted, cutting off their source of income, believing their Chinese overlords will pay them like they are all Hunter Biden. And cutting off their noses to spite their faces. Do you think I am unjustified? Will we have a new civil war, with conservatives staging a rebellion against tyrannical overlords? Will police and military, who are mostly middle class, side with us or shoot us down? I am afraid this country will implode and it has already begun. What do you think?

I was disappointed when I heard your opening monologue tonight; my husband was angry. You completely ignored all the wonderful conservatives who peacefully attended the Trump rally on Wednesday; instead you focused on "the mob." Your word, NOT MINE--The fact that you repeatedly called this whole group a mob is what really angered my husband. In my opinion, you are playing into the narrative of the left when you talk about a "riot." I have been searching through first-person accounts of the rally. I think you need to do more research. Residents of MO (my home state) who attended the rally called friends back home to say that what was shown on MSM news was NOT the true story of the event. Antifa presence was obvious to them. In a first-person account I viewed on line, a young man explained how people who appeared to be professional "protesters" (ACTUAL rioters) led the assault on the Capital. (How many MAGA supporters bring hammers and rope with them to a rally?) This man explained that he felt he should not have gone inside the Capitol, but there was no one stopping him or others. (My husband was also upset that you said they broke through the barriers. Videos we have seen show officers hardly tried to keep the people outside the barriers.) The young man described the feeling of hopelessness he was experiencing. He asked what someone is supposed to do when no one will address your concerns about election fraud. He agreed that that feeling did not justify what happened, but it certainly was the reason he followed the crowd into the building. Evidently the timing of the assault on the Capitol occurred following texts people in the crowd received indicating Pence's opening statement. His announcement rather than anything Trump said, I believe, was the match that lit the flame of the bad behavior. I understand that feeling of hopelessness. I'm sure I'm not the only conservative who is wondering if every future election in which a Republican is leading will include a late night stop of the vote counting followed by an early morning announcement of a Democrat win. No, I don't condone destruction of property; and, yes, I am very sorry that anyone died or that destruction occurred. But I don't see this as a riot by the Trump supporters from the rally; I see it more as a "mob" response by a very small percent of those attending, led by professional inciters and enflamed by hopelessness. I agree that the assault on the Capitol was devastating to the conservative cause (and very timely for the left!), but much of your monologue showed me a Huckabee leaning toward RINOism--and, although I am really sorry to say that to you, I feel I must.

BIG TECH CENSORESHIP AND INFORMATION CONTROL: Censoring ours, or anybody's opinions on Face book or any other site on the internet is no different than any of us having our telephone conversations suddenly cut off because the telephone company doesn't "LIKE" what we are talking about. Really Think About it: ....... How would "YOU" feel about that happening to "YOU"? The only difference is that on Twitter or Facebook we WRITE DOWN our views, and on the telephone we VERBALIZE them. That's it. That's the only difference. How do we think Adams, Payne, Jefferson or Franklin, or any freedom loving person, would feel about such a thing? The American Revolutionary War was fought over much, much less. What we are experiencing is the obvious and Huge beginning of the totalitarian control of all information and it must be stopped, or our nation, the Land of the Free is finished.......And this isn't even the tiniest bit over the top......

I like the stuff on today's letter. Very helpful. I also do deep research. There were some rotten apples on the right but it was clearly a set up. Seen on the fround articles the verify many DC police sollude with Antifa to stage the riot. Until the right understands that us primarily a spiritual war they will always be outmaneuvered by the legions of hell.
Also I am glad I am an independent moderate to conservative as the Republican Party has shown itself to be just as evil and corrupt as the party of Karl Marx! At least a few have. Been apologists for the left. Even church leaders are like those who called for peace just like those who surrendered the Evangelical Chutch to Hitler.
Interesting to see hoe the present drama reminds me of old shows like Dark Shadows and Falcon Crest.
3 books fit tdays mess. Brave New World, 1984, and Out of The Silent Planet( C.S. Lewis)

Did you see the preview for 60 Minutes that will air Pelosi trying to be seen as 'victimized and traumatized' that her office was invaded and how it terrified her, etc. Well, talk about true hypocrisy, she didn't seem AT ALL CONCERNED about small businesses being looted and burned and innocent people being shot to death, i.e. the police officer shot sitting in their patrol car, and all the other violence that she promoted by allowing BLM and Antifa to continue without denouncing it and condemning it, last year, it seems that she was gleeful about it.... but now, she has switched as most liberals do, to play the victim of the violence that happened to her, but she wasn't burned or shot, her office was just messed up.... but that isn't okay, but riots by BLM and Antifa are okay... see, typical hypocrites liberals are! Things will only get worse if she thinks her office being messed up is bad....wait until America turns on her and all her liberal elitists..... I don't think Biden or Harris will finish out the four years without being censored or even impeached themselves..... I pray that the next 4 years will fly by quickly! Then things will get back to normal with true republic democracy for America! Either that or else China will be the new leader in the U.S.A. more than it is now.

You have just described what Pure Communism is like-Skip the Socialism Stage! Since Misinformation is no longer acceptable the 9 Oligarchs that CONTROL 90+ % of ALL media have decided the time is NOW to FINISH Shredding the Constitution and give the CCP COMPLETE CONTROL. I'm the fortunate one. I'm past my use-by date and the Coronavirus saw fit to bypass me. This is the third time in my life that I should have died. 1st was while my Sub was spying on the USSR and we got caught. They missed the depth charges but oxygen deprivation and high concentrations of CO2 had it's effect. 2nd. was during the Cuban Missile Crisis when my Sub was attempting a Suicide Mission that failed but WE lived 3rd is Covid. I don't even catch colds anymore. I have no idea what God's plan for me is and all I can do is wait to see if he wants me to do as St Matthew 10:35 directs? At any rate, America HAD a good run and I enjoyed being a part of it. Having lived and worked in Communist and Socialist countries I have been Truly Blessed. I Grieve for the 80+ million who will have to see Tytlers Cycle come full circle.

    Governor:
When are you and Franklin Graham meeting face to face with so called Christian Joe Manchin and asking him to switch parties?

I doubt very much that he reads blogs from either of you. It needs to happen face to face.

You both should also be meeting directly with professed Christian believers in the House and encourage them to switch too.

Vernon Jones, a former very devoted democrat just switched. Proving it can be done.

Switch enough House Christian's and socialist Pelosi will be gone.

How about so called believer Tulsi? Hasn't she seen enough censorship and socialism to change parties?

Twelve socialist media sites are now denying the First Amendment rights to the President. How long before they ban ALL Christian Church sites due to hate speech, opps I mean Christian values?

You and Pastor Graham have huge national influence. But you need to meet face to face and appeal to these people to make the change.

If you don't, we'll soon be meeting secretly in basements to practice our faith.
