BIBLE VERSE OF THE DAY

About that poll, and the 94 percent who don't accept Biden

By Mike Huckabee

Recently, we ran a poll that asked, “Now that Joe Biden has been inaugurated, do you accept him as President of the United States?” As reported on Saturday, with over 122,000 votes cast, the results are in:

YES: 4 percent

NO: 94 percent

UNDECIDED: 2 percent

So, 94 percent of the respondents to our poll do not accept Joe Biden as President. We are shocked --- shocked! --- that so many of our readers are domestic terrorists! Why, you’re probably already plotting right now to storm Washington DC and take the Capitol Building by force.

Do we really need to keep thousands more National Guard troops on duty indefinitely, just to keep the small number of QAnon crazies and white supremacists away from the halls of power? Their numbers don’t appear to be large and diminishing as their views are out of step with constitutional conservatives who reject racism and unsourced conspiracy theories. But if that’s really the fear of the left, then clear out the parking garages so the Guard can get a nap from time to time. And somebody bring them some blankets, for gosh sakes, and order them some pizzas with extra cheese! This is our national security we’re talking about.

All 94 percent of you –- and even the 2 percent undecided –- will have to be removed from Facebook and Twitter immediately. That’s not necessarily because of anything you’ve said, but about what you might say if they allowed you the forum everyone else gets to have, something incendiary that might conceivably cause OTHER people to storm the Capitol, but that YOU will have to be help accountable for, because if there’s one thing our federal justice system stands for now, it’s accountability. Just ask Kevin Clinesmith.

(Pause for insane laughter.)

So, 94 percent of respondents said they don’t “accept” Biden as President. What does this actually tell us? At the risk of sounding like former President Bill Clinton, it depends on what the meaning of “accept” is. Among those who answered our poll, that will vary from person to person. Of course, there's deep, unquestioning acceptance –- “I ‘accept’ Jesus as my Savior” –- but there's also very grudging acceptance –- “I ‘accept’ that my business has been ordered closed and there’s nothing I can do to avoid bankruptcy.” And there's a whole spectrum in between. From a random sample of the over 50,000 comments we received –- we’ll be highlighting some of those responses later in the week –- I think even the tiny amount of “acceptance” Biden is getting from the right-leaning half the country is the grudging kind. There's an outcome you deeply suspect is wrong but are powerless to do anything about, so you think the best thing for the country is just to move forward.

Here’s one example of that: “I think I fall within the 4 percent of folks who say Biden is my President, because he is currently the President of the United (?) States. He stole the election, granted, but there he sits, in the Oval Office. It pains me to even type that, but until we can legally get the Democrats out of office, I will have to deal with Biden making pronouncements.”

Maintaining even that level of “acceptance” might become increasingly difficult for Biden as he continues to act as if he had a huge mandate, issuing 40 such “pronouncements” in the form of executive orders and actions in just his first nine days in the White House. This is three times the number signed by Presidents Trump, Obama and George W. Bush at the same point in their terms of office.

For the word “accept,” the working definition that I think makes the most sense here is from Oxford Dictionaries: “believe or come to recognize (an opinion, explanation, etc.) as valid or correct.” Synonyms: believe, trust, give credence to, credit, give credit to, put confidence in, be convinced of, have faith in, count on, rely on, depend on. Informal: buy; go for; fall for; swallow; swallow hook, line and sinker; take as gospel.

The Free Dictionary has these: To regard as proper, usual or right; to regard as true, believe in; to endure resignedly or patiently, as in “to accept one’s fate” (also, to tolerate or accommodate oneself to); to receive officially, as in “to accept the committee’s report.”

It is true that President Biden sits in the Oval Office and functions, to the best of his cognitive ability, as President. It could be said that he has been received officially. Those few on the right who say they “accept” him likely also mean this in the sense that they are resigned to it, enduring it.

But going back to the Oxford Dictionary, do they believe this was the correct outcome? Do they have faith or confidence in the outcome? Do they take it as gospel? Doubtful.

Millions of Americans are going around with a dark feeling that something is amiss, that needs to be put right. It’s not the same as Hillary and her supporters carping for four years about Trump’s election being illegitimate, when Trump clearly won in 2016. The 2020 election was very different, with millions and millions of mail-in ballots, unconstitutional rule changes, razor-thin margins in key states, numerous anomalies that just haven’t been explained and much more that we’ve been over. “Fact”-checkers who try to debunk these claims by saying they “lack context” still have not really debunked them. That’s not proof the election was “stolen,” but suspicions still run very deep, and justifiably so.

In case you didn’t see it over the weekend, we’ll re-post this excellent piece from RedState.com about the difference between what the so-called “debunkers” in the media say about the election and what the real story is. They really are trying to make us all say that 2+2=5.

The fact that social media and most broadcast media are censoring any talk of this makes it that much worse. Adding insult to injury by impeaching President Trump and putting him on trial after he’s been removed from office is another big banana-republic-style slap-down. We know that what is being done to Trump is also being done, in effect, to us, his supporters. We see the entire nation under siege by the left, with no sign of it letting up. Happiest of all: probably China.

When leftists keep piling on, after an election we don't trust, with one more grave injustice after another (again, I’ll cite the legal double standard and the Kevin Clinesmith case), I have to wonder if they realize what this could be building up to. Are they naive, do they just not care, or is that what they want? How long can they lie to us, lie ABOUT us, calling us deplorables, domestic terrorists and white supremacists? We can’t have upwards of 75 million people feeling abused like this at the same time Washington DC, the media, social media, the universities, the public schools, major corporations, the entertainment world, and even the justice system are telling us essentially to shut up or they will cancel us, ruin our lives. It's McCarthyism to the tenth power. Nothing like this has ever happened before in this country.

And none of of us should “accept” it.

DeBlasio's political posturing hurts NYC

By Mike Huckabee

Would I be accused of inciting political violence if I said that New York City Mayor Bill DeBlasio is cutting off his nose to spite his face?

Last week, DeBlasio declared that he was canceling all city contracts with the Trump Organization because Trump’s speech incited the Capitol riots (which we now know was not true: they were being planned well before Trump even gave the speech, and nothing in it was an incitement to violence.)

Being one of the worst mayors in, like, ever, DeBlasio never gave a thought to the good of the city or its legal obligations under those contracts. He just wanted to flap his gums about Orange Man Bad and make headlines. Well, here’s a headline that he richly deserves, from the New York Post:

“Trump gets frozen out of operating Central Park’s Wollman Rink”

It’s about DeBlasio canceling the Trump group’s contract to run the Wollman Skating rink in Central Park. But this story should really remind New Yorkers, and all Americans, of why Trump ran for President, and why so many people voted for him.

Back in the 1980s, the skating rink had been closed for years due to an advanced state of disrepair. The city’s liberal Democrat leadership wasted a pile of taxpayer money on various “studies” but were never able to fix it. Finally, Trump got fed up with the embarrassing boondoggle and volunteered to take on the job himself. He got the rink rebuilt beautifully, under budget and ahead of schedule. Seeing the waste and uselessness of those bureaucrats was one of the chief motivating factors for him deciding to go into politics and “drain the swamp.”

His company has been running the rink ever since, but now, DeBlasio wants to end that contract for no other reason than political posturing over fake charges. How long do you think the rink will remain in good repair under his “leadership”? Will it soon resemble the subway cars, or the streets filled with garbage and rats, that have become symbolic of the Big Apple's steep decline since the Democrats took back the Mayor's office?

I hope that the name “Wollman Rink” serves as a sharp reminder to New Yorkers about what happens when voters let the media demonization of Republicans convince them to elect incompetent leftists who are incapable of running anything other than their mouths.

Impeachment news

By Mike Huckabee

There was a lot of pearl-clutching and jaw-boning on the “news” channels over the weekend about the word that President Trump had “lost” his impeachment legal defense team. It was rumored that they wanted to argue the unconstitutionality of the entire procedure while Trump wanted to focus on issues surrounding election fraud. Most legal analysts say that’s a bad strategy.

But on the other hand, if Trump thinks the entire process is unconstitutional anyway, he may see it as a chance, at long last, to force the Senate, the media and the public to look at any evidence of voter fraud he may have that courts refused to examine. And there’s no reason why his attorneys can’t present both arguments.

As for him being “abandoned” by the legal profession, he already has new attorneys, and they seem to have pretty solid resumes.

Coming Soon, To a Nation Near You?..

By Mike Huckabee

Those “good folks” (as President Biden calls them) who run the communist government of China have started branding religious faiths not based on Marxism and atheism as “bad information.”

According to the magazine Bitter Winter, which reports on human rights and religious freedom in China, cracking down on "bad information" means religious books are banned from the mail and are being burned, and people who print, share or even read them can face jail. Publishing religious texts can get you shut down or even charged with manufacturing illegal products, like drugs or guns. Churches are destroyed for being too close to government buildings or looking better than government buildings. One print company manager said the government claims the Chinese people are allowed to have religious beliefs, but the only faith they can practice freely is belief in the Communist Party.

There’s much more at the link, and I urge you to read it all. There are far too many people here in America who not only turn a blind eye to this, they actually think America should emulate it. And if you think the people in China could get around this crackdown on print by using the Internet, then you don’t know what they’ve done to the Internet. That’s already well on its way to being instituted here.

New Federal Lawsuit

By Mike Huckabee

Google and Facebok are facing a new federal lawsuit accusing them of monopolistic, anti-competitive business practices. I know you’re thinking, “What else is new?” But this is different: this lawsuit is by a media company that operates several West Virginia newspapers. It claims that the two tech giants unlawfully conspired via a secret deal nicknamed “Jedi Blue” (I love how they misappropriate the name of “Star Wars” heroes to do evil) to deny newspapers ad revenue and keep them from competing in the market. May these lawsuits against Silicon Valley monopolies be fruitful and multiply.

We, Christians, are Americans and I am probably one of the worst, by their standards, because it took me quite a few days to start to act normal again. Aren't we suppose to be obedient to the one in power, as much as we can, accepting the supposed will of the people. I believe that the election was rigged and that most of the news media are evil. So where does a Christian go from here? I do believe that there are many Christians in America who stand for freedom. They can't defeat us all, right.

Governor, I firmly believe we will never have a truly legal election ever again. The Demonrats successfully put their Commie loving pedophile in office so they will continue to steal every election from now on. Why not? They got away with it this time!

When you get ready to sell a business. One builds up the assets and lets the liabilities go. Because the interested party is buying the assets. In Janet Yellen speech the other day. She mentioned (quietly) that one of her goals is to build the Federal Reserve Asset Sheet. Is the USA for sale ?

I voted yes because God puts the man in charge HE wants. After the inauguration Biden, by law, is our President like it or not. I also pray for him as President as Scripture mandates.

It is getting hard for me to watch the news since President Trump was FORCED OUT by evil doers. This is the beginning days of a Dictator shoving unfair rules down our throats. The Supreme Court refused to do their job and look at the evidence. For the first time in my 65 years of life, I am fearful of our Government. GOD help us and our descendants. I want to thank you and Sarah Huckabee Sanders for the Patriotic work you two do.

Just read on Business & Politics that members of House of Representatives has asked Minority leader Kevin McCarthy to strip Marjorie Green of all committee assignments because she has dared to make comments the Democrates do not like. I cannot agree with some of her comments but if they strip her of her assignments then they should definitely strip Eric Swalwell of all his assignments. After all he was "sleeping with the enemy" as well as committing adultery. Yet When questioned by a reporter Pelosi said she had no problem with Swalwell keeping his place on the judiciary committee. Wonder how much classified info his Chinese spy got out of him during pillow talk.

This election could have been a bit more lawful if the people not legally allowed to change the rules were stopped nobody cared at that point to shut that down this is what they all wanted allong listen to the propaganists fix the broken law tell the public this before it happens again it should have NEVER happened. Anyone that knows the laws were broken and said nothing at that time is part of the problem. Corrupt news!! Stay away from the media one will be better served.

Who is the ‘Good German’? I Now Better Understand

    By Dennis Prager

As my listeners and readers can hopefully attest, I have been on a lifelong quest to understand human nature and human behavior. I am sad to report that I have learned more in the last few years, particularly in 2020, than in any equivalent period of time.

One of the biggest revelations concerns a question that has always plagued me: How does one explain the “good German,” the term used to describe the average, presumably decent German, who did nothing to hurt Jews but also did nothing to help them and did nothing to undermine the Nazi regime? The same question could be asked about the average Frenchman during the Vichy era, the average Russian under Lenin, Joseph Stalin, Leonid Brezhnev and their successors, and the millions of others who did nothing to help their fellow citizens under oppressive dictatorships.

These past few years have taught me not to so quickly judge the quiet German, Russian, etc. Of course, I still judge Germans who helped the Nazis and Germans who in any way hurt Jews. But the Germans who did nothing? Not so fast.

What has changed my thinking has been watching what is happening in America (and Canada and Australia and elsewhere, for that matter).

The ease with which tens of millions of Americans have accepted irrational, unconstitutional and unprecedented police state-type restrictions on their freedoms, including even the freedom to make a living, has been, to understate the case, sobering. The same holds true for the acceptance by most Americans of the rampant censorship on Twitter and all other major social media platforms. Even physicians and other scientists are deprived of freedom of speech if, for example, they offer scientific support for hydroxychloroquine along with zinc to treat COVID-19 in the early stages. Board-certified physician Dr. Vladimir Zelenko, who has saved hundreds of COVID-19 patients from suffering and/or death, has been banned from Twitter for publicizing his lifesaving hydroxychloroquine and zinc protocol.

Half of America, the non-left half, is afraid to speak their minds at virtually every university, movie studio and large corporation - indeed, at virtually every place of work. Professors who say anything that offends the left fear being ostracized if they have tenure and being fired if they do not. People are socially ostracized, publicly shamed and/or fired for differing with Black Lives Matter, as America-hating and white-hating a group as has ever existed. And few Americans speak up. On the contrary, when BLM protestors demand that diners outside of restaurants raise their fists to show their support of BLM, nearly every diner does.

So, then, who are we to condemn the average German who faced the Gestapo if he didn’t salute Hitler or the average Russian who faced the NKVD (the secret police and intelligence agency that preceded the KGB) if he didn’t demonstrate sufficient enthusiasm for Stalin? Americans face the left’s cancel culture, but not left-wing secret police or reeducation camps. (At least not yet - I have little doubt the left would send outspoken conservatives to reeducation camps if they could.)

I have come to understand the average German living under Nazism and the average Russian living under communism for another reason: the power of the media to brainwash. As a student of totalitarianism since my graduate studies at the Russian Institute of Columbia University’s School of International Affairs (as it was then known), I have always believed that only in a dictatorship could a society be brainwashed. I was wrong I now understand that mass brainwashing can take place in a nominally free society.

The incessant left-wing drumbeat of The New York Times, The Washington Post, the Los Angeles Times and almost every other major newspaper, plus The Atlantic, The New Yorker, CNN, ABC, CBS, NBC, PBS, NPR, all of Hollywood and almost every school from kindergarten through graduate school, has brainwashed at least half of America every bit as effectively as the German, Soviet and Chinese communist press did (and in the latter case, still does). That thousands of schools will teach the lie that is the New York Times’ “1619 Project” is one of countless examples.

Prior to the lockdowns, I flew almost every week of the year, so I was approached by people who recognized me on a regular basis. Increasingly, I noticed that people would look around to see if anyone was within earshot and then tell me in almost a whisper: “I support Trump” or, “I’m a conservative.” The last time people looked around and whispered things to me was when I used to visit the Soviet Union.

In Quebec this past weekend, as one can see on a viral video, a family was fined and members arrested because six - yes, six - people gathered to celebrate the new year. A neighbor snitched on them, and the celebrants were duly arrested. The Quebec government lauded the snitches and asked for more public “collaboration.”

Snitches are likewise lauded and encouraged in some Democrat-run states and cities in America (Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti in March: “Snitches get rewards”) and by left-wing governments in Australia. Plenty of Americans, Canadians and Australians are only too happy to snitch on people who refuse to lock down their lives.

All this is taking place without concentration camps, without a Gestapo, without a KGB and without Maoist reeducation camps. That’s why I no longer judge the average German as easily as I used to. Apathy in the face of tyranny turns out not to be a German or Russian characteristic. I just never thought it could happen in America.

Thank you for your bravery. We pray for your family and for your nation. My friend lives south of the 49th parallel and says she is now “very concerned about the future of “ her country. It is the hitlerization of the media, of neighbour being encouraged to rat on neighbour, the banning of any speech that offends those in power, which has her so very concerned.
Thankful just in case for dual citizenship (not american) ...
Even more thankful that my destiny is with Jesus.

    Governor,

I know you are reporting the news truthfully and accurately, but your newsletter is depressing to say the least. It is not bad enough that the national news media (the Democrat Party) is attempting to push the entire country to their side of the political spectrum, but your reporting seems to enforce the supposition that they are winning. If they are winning then all is lost, if your reporting is to inform us of what they are doing then we can all read. We look to you for balance. There are few outlets for us to reach out to for a more balanced report than yours has been and I would definitely like to see that balance. Please, give us more hope, ways to deal with this injustice, encouragement in the task ahead of us, and prayer to help us through the turbulent days ahead. We have looked forward to that from you for years, and look forward to seeing it from you in the turbulent days ahead of us. We get enough reports from the media to depress us in the mainstream media, which I have begun to ignore, we look to you to tell us the truth, yet to give us hope and reassurance that hope and prayer and a little cool intelligent thought will bring our world straight again.

Gov., when are you going to acknowledge or addresss child trafficking in our country and the world?

  • Lawrence Foster

    02/01/2021 05:07 PM

I've had friends whose children misbehaved intentionally and significantly, with the aim of getting their parents to come down hard on them, and then they could complain to authorities they were abused.

Somehow, in the word salad and blithering from the white House, one gets the impression Biden's puppet masters are trying to see how far they have to go before the adults in this country come down on them. Maybe they think if they can provoke a reaction from the 74 million who believe the election was stolen, they can appeal to the UN or other groups to aid them in completely shutting down our country. I thin that would be a very bad move, but not out of the realm of possibility with Bidens handlers, who clearly live in a make-believe world where they are the power.

When I said that I accepted Biden as president, I didn't mean that I accepted the election - I just, as you said, accepted the fact that he was in the Oval Office because the Electoral College votes went to him and he would be there until the proof of fraud could be shown. Now we have to be sure that elections in the future are secure from any signs of fraud.

Would you be so kind to explain to Biden that in spite of him (lower case) stopping the Keystone pipeline an canceling the extraction of oil from Federal land, everybody in the Country will still drive as many miles, the Transport Companies will still move the merchandise, planes will still fly , Trains, Ships, Industry, home furnaces, etc. will operate the same?
The only difference is that now his friends, Russia, Iran and others will gain the business and "We the people" will pay more for oil products.

Thanks for your informative and accurate reports. You are the one newsletter I am not afraid to express my opinions. I hope Facebook and Twitter both go bankrupt. I was on Facebook one time for a very short period of time and it did not take long for me to decide I had better things to do with my time. I don't do online banking and I use my cell phone very little. If more people would opt out of social media that would stop them cancelling conservatives. There are other ways of communicating and expressing our constitutional right of free speech. Thank you Mike for having Tulsi Gabbard on your podcast. That is one Democrate I could get behind. When I found out the "My Pillow" man was being targeted for his conservative stand, it went on line and ordered a set of towels even though I did not need them. Had a good deal going, buy one six piece set , get a six piece set free. They came in a timely fashion and are quite lovely. Those stores who deserted him are the losers as they will soon learn. Blessings to everyone.
