BIBLE VERSE OF THE DAY

Nothing surprises us about Nancy Pelosi's treachery

By Mike Huckabee

With all the speculation about President Biden’s waning cognitive capacity, it’s easy to lose track of what House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, third in line for the presidency, has been working on behind the scenes in recent months, and what she might be capable of engineering in the months ahead.

As far as we can tell, she and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer will be the ones in charge of the decision to trigger the 25th Amendment to end Biden’s presidency and install Vice President Kamala Harris. (Harris, you’ll recall, never won a single primary, even in her home state, during her brief run for President.) So let’s take a look at what Dear Speaker was up to back in January, in the weeks leading up to Biden’s inauguration.

The Speaker was very busy the day of January 8. First, she had a phone call with the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Gen. Mark Milley. More on that later. Then, she sent a letter to her Democrat colleagues to tell them about the call.

"This morning, I spoke to [Gen. Milley] to discuss available precautions for preventing an unstable president from initiating military hostilities or accessing the launch codes and ordering a nuclear strike. The situation of this unhinged President could not be more dangerous, and we must do everything that we can to protect the American people from this unbalanced assault on our country and our democracy.”

President Trump was “unhinged,” “dangerous,” “unbalanced”? I would say that a Speaker of the House who would quiver with hate as she ripped up the President’s State of the Union Address on national TV might herself be considered unhinged, but never mind. This letter is right in character for her.

And it goes much farther than that. In a section called “Removing the President from Office” (I am not kidding), Pelosi wrote, “As you know, there is growing momentum about the invocation of the 25th Amendment, which would allow the Vice President and the majority of the Cabinet to remove the President for his incitement of insurrection and the danger he still poses. Yesterday, Leader Schumer and I placed a call to Vice President Pence, and we still hope to hear from him as soon as possible with a positive answer as to whether he and the Cabinet will honor their oath to the Constitution and the American people.”

Well, I hope they weren’t holding their breath for VP Pence to get back to them on that! On second thought, it might have been better for the country if they had been. ‘Cause they’d still be holding it.

Did she really bring up the 25th Amendment with Gen. Milley? President of Judicial Watch Tom Fitton says, correctly, that if this is true, “it sets a dangerous precedent that could undermine the President’s role as Commander-in-Chief and the separation of powers.” To find out, Judicial Watch filed a Freedom Of Information (FOIA) request with the Defense Department, but (surprise) they failed to respond. So now they’ve filed suit in the U.S. District Court for Washington DC.

They’re demanding “any and all records” having to do with this phone call, including but not limited to “any and all transcripts, recordings and/or summaries of the call, as well as any other records produced in preparation for, during, and/or pursuant to the call.” They also demand “any and all communication between Gen. Milley and House Speaker Pelosi between November 1, 2020, and the present.”

November 1 is an interesting start date for the records they want, considering that was even before the election. I wonder if Judicial Watch has gotten wind of other conversations that might have taken place even before the transition period.

Judical Watch issued a press release to announce this on Tuesday.

Fox News reported on this at the time. They focused on Pelosi's “concern” about an “unhinged” President having access to the nuclear codes. It was a ridiculous story even then.

The same day, Gen. Milley’s spokesperson confirmed that they'd had a conversation, but, according to a story in U.S. NEWS, “in a carefully crafted statement distanced the Pentagon from any attempts by the House Speaker or any other congressional leaders to strip the President of his authorities.” Well, I would hope so!

Gen. Milley deserves credit for stressing the political neutrality of the military at a time when rumors of a “coup” were swirling. That was all just a hoax, though Pelosi used it as a pretext to call up thousands of National Guard troops and merrily festoon Capitol Hill with razor wire. All of that is still in place, by the way.

If Nancy Pelosi had any sense of shame, she would be mortified for having accused President Trump of “insurrection,” as there was no evidence whatsoever that he had anything to do with the January 6 breach of the Capitol Building. She herself is in large part responsible for that tragedy, as she failed to put the proper security in place.

Also, the FBI has just released security footage of the person who placed the two “fully functional” pipe bombs THE NIGHT BEFORE at the DNC and RNC headquarters, most likely, they say, as a “diversionary tactic.”

In other words, it was part of the PLANNED protest that was carried out during Trump’s rally. Trump “incited” nothing.

But never let a true narrative get in the way of a false one. If anyone is “dangerous” to the Republic, it’s someone like Nancy Pelosi, who would eagerly have used the 25th Amendment (or any other means she had) to take down the eminently lucid President of the United States over something he didn’t do.

So, did Pelosi actually talk this up with the Joint Chiefs of Staff? Perhaps Judicial Watch, through the courts, will be able to uncover a bit more of her spider’s web. Nothing they find out would surprise me; she has already demonstrated over and over what a treacherous person she is.

Red States Fight Back

By Mike Huckabee

I’m glad to see that red states are taking a page from the liberal playbook and using federal lawsuits to block President Biden’s executive orders, the way they hamstrung Trump for four years. In this case, it’s 12 states (and why only 12?) suing to stop his executive order that will greatly expand federal climate regulations, cost billions if not trillions of dollars, and destroy thousands of jobs across multiple industries.

The suit argues that the order is illegal because Biden has no statutory or constitutional authority to “dictate specific values for the ‘social costs’ of greenhouse gases in virtually every regulatory program administered by the federal government.” That sort of expansive policy is “quintessentially legislative” and belongs only to Congress. More details at the link.

Meanwhile, Arizona and Montana have filed a lawsuit to block Biden’s order that severely limits the number of illegal immigrants who can be arrested and deported. Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich said, "If asked about the poorest policy choice I’ve ever seen in government, this would be a strong contender. Blindly releasing thousands of people, including convicted criminals and those who may be spreading COVID-19, into our state is both unconscionable and a violation of federal law. This must be stopped now to avoid a dangerous humanitarian crisis for the immigrants and the people of Arizona."

These are the kinds of lawsuits that make me thank God Trump was able to appoint so many judges, which may be his most lasting legacy to protect America.

Socialists take over leadership of Nevada Democrat Party

By Mike Huckabee

Remember when the media’s favorite way to mock conservatives was to depict us as rightwing kooks who thought the Democrats were a bunch of radical socialists? Well, the entire staff of the Nevada Democratic Party just resigned after candidates from the Democratic Socialists of America swept all five party leadership positions in the last election.

The new chair of the state party is Democratic socialist Judith Whitmer, who was already chair of the Clark County Democratic Party. She said, “What they just didn’t expect is that we got better and better at organizing and out-organizing them at every turn.” But the establishment Democrats did anticipate the socialist takeover enough to move $450,000 to the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee’s account. Good idea: there’s nothing socialists love more than confiscating other people’s money.

Let this be a cautionary tale not only for moderate Democrats who will vote for anyone with a (D) after their name without doing their due diligence, but also for Republicans, who had better get really organized themselves. More and more in the future, you will be facing elections against well-organized and well-funded opponents who may have a (D) after their names, but who should have an (S) there. Defeating them is no longer just a win for one party, but essential to preserving America.

"Who Is Really President?"

By Mike Huckabee

The big question in Washington these days isn’t really “When will the invisible army of imaginary insurrectionists attack” but “Who is really President?” Even the Washington Post admits that Kamala Harris is playing an “unusually large role” for a Vice President, including handling phone calls with other world leaders.

Other reporters observe that Susan Rice seems to be doing more presidenting than Joe Biden is, from overseeing health care, immigration, voting rights and gun issues to conducting a weird New Age ritual to rid the White House of Trump’s bad juju.

In the midst of all this activity, where is Biden? Well, on Monday, he nominated two female generals for 4-star combatant commands, and in the process, forgot the name of his own Defense Secretary, Lloyd Austin, and apparently, the name of the Pentagon, which he called “that outfit over there.”

His spokesperson Jen Psaki said Biden will finally give his first primetime address on Thursday, to talk about the $1.9 trillion COVID-19 relief/stimulus bill (i.e., giveaway to blue states and Democrat support groups.) That will be a bigger nail-biter than a David Blaine special.

But he still hasn’t scheduled a State of the Union Address, and he’s gone a record length without a press conference with none in sight. When reporters pressed Psaki, she claimed he’d taken questions over 100 times, but those were reporters yelling questions at him as he walked away, not actual press conferences with one question after another, including follow-ups.

As for addressing Congress, Psaki insists that Biden plans to do that sometime within his first year in office, but he’s just so busy, what with the pandemic and all. Funny, the pandemic is winding down now, and throughout its worst days, Trump found time for daily press conferences and stood up to the most vicious questioning. Biden can’t even answer the kind of puffballs the press would no doubt toss underhanded to him?

Biden’s impersonation of Punxsutawney Phil is giving rise to suspicions, voiced by Joe Concha at Fox News, that his staff fears he isn’t up to handling a press conference.

This isn’t something that I address happily. I hope and pray that it’s all groundless worries that have grown up just because political reporters abhor a vacuum. But that still doesn’t answer the question of why, nearly two months into this presidency, all we’re getting from the man allegedly in charge is a vacuum.

Hilarious Link

By Mike Huckabee

Democrats and the media (but I repeat myself) seem to think that all Republicans believe in wild false conspiracy theories, like that the 2020 election was rigged (when only the 2016 election was rigged, by Russians with Facebook ads.) They also seem to think we’re all followers of QAnon, when a recent survey found most Republicans don’t even know what that crackpot group is.

But someone has started a new classification called “Blue Anon,” to describe Democrats who really do believe in crazy, fake conspiracy theories. Twitchy.com captured an expanding Twitter thread in which people listed some of the absolutely nutso stuff they’ve peddled over the past four years. There’s been so much of it, some might have slipped your mind, but seeing it all recalled and paraded in one place is stunning: everything from Brett Kavanaugh’s high school gang rape ring to Melania’s body double to Trump using mailboxes to steal the election.

And right on cue, in perfect conspiratorial mode, Blue Anon was in the Urban Dictionary for only one day before it was quickly removed. It was also hard to find with a Google search. Luckily, the Urban Dictionary received enough ridicule and outrage to quickly restore it. They’d better. I have a feeling it’s one slang term that’s not going away for a long time.

In a related story, Hillary Clinton (whose followers mindlessly adopted the worshipful mantra, “I’m with Her”) lectures Republicans about how they have turned into a “cult” worshipping Trump and must renounce him to regain their souls. Nina Bookout at Victory Girls has some choice words in response to that.

California comes to Washington

by Mike Huckabee

You can always tell how destructive a piece of Democrat legislation will be by how benign a title they give it. For instance, the bill to legalize vote fraud is named the “For The People Act.” And on Tuesday, the House passed the “Protecting the Right to Organize (PRO) Act.” Supporters claim it “helps” workers, in the same sense of Ronald Reagan’s observation that one of the biggest of all lies is “I’m from the government, and I’m here to help you.”

This is the federal version of the disastrous California Assembly Bill 5, which devastated contract, freelance and gig workers, from Uber and Lyft drivers to writers, actors and musicians. It forces every business to treat almost all workers as if they’re union employees with full benefits. Since many jobs aren’t compatible with that model (can a club afford to provide health insurance to someone who plays guitar there once a month?), those jobs are eliminated. Instead of being entrepreneurs who work how and when they want, those people end up sitting home unemployed.

The effects of this bill in California were so awful that even liberal Democrats, like suddenly unemployed freelance Internet writers, wanted it repealed. So naturally, Nancy Pelosi and House Democrats just voted to inflict it on the entire nation. Thanks, Nancy! This is one of many reasons why so many Californians signed that petition to recall Gov. Gavin Newsom. How about recalling her, too?

Worth noting: One Democrat, Texas Rep. Henry Cuellar, had the guts to vote against it, and five Republicans voted in favor of it. They are Brian Fitzpatrick (PA), John Katko (NY), Chris Smith (NJ), Jeff Van Drew (NJ), and Don Young (AK.) They’d better hope the Senate has enough sense to reject it because they may be looking for new jobs as Uber drivers themselves in a couple of years.

A Reader Writes Back...

It's 5 am on a Sunday morning and I really needed an article like this today. It makes my day to know that President Trump has friends in good places. Thank you.

If Biden is removed from office and replaced by Harris under the 25th
Amendment, does that mean that Nancy Pelosi would move to the Vice-presidency and if so, will she loose her seat as Speaker to whom?
I really believe that she would not want to give up that powerful position.
She would basically be shooting her self in the foot if she removed Biden.

Does anyone else remember the late Peter Sellers’ 1979 movie “Being There,” a satire about a humble gardener in Washington, DC, who rises to the highest of political offices through a series of flukes? Is life imitating art, again?

It is unfathomable how gullible America is if they can’t see how the Demoncrats deliberately put into office a man incapable of fulfilling the job. Biden is only a ghostly puppet for Pelosi and Harris. My earlier prediction that Biden would not last a year is being reduced to months.

    God help America!

    Biden issues:
o Dems seek to control"nuclear football".
o still stammering, fumbling in public
    o staffers cancel questions.
    o"lost" appears
    o Guided by others?
    o Not proactive
    o stale, ordinary, leaderless
    o Puppet
    o Front man.

    & what of Harris?

QAnnon is a demoncrat concieved and birthed group which they are trying to tie to Republicans, Conservatives and Christians. The demoncrats have been so closely tied to the antifa groups and blam by their own actions, words and comments and had received negative publicity that they felt they had to come up with some type of fringe group to have the lamestream media tie conservatives and especially Donald Trump to. I had watched and read a lot of news, before the election and had not heard of QAnnon before the "interview" between Donald Trump and Savanah Gutherie the night Biden would not show for the debate. This was my first introduction to the term QAnnon and sounded like President Trump was not fully aware of who they were.

With so many evil politicians today, it seems the only solution to their power hungry ambitions would be term limits. Like the president, 2 terms and you're outta here! But with the fox guarding the hen house, wouldn't there be at least ONE politician that says "enough is enough" and attempt to get the actual voters in America to decide? In a fair and honest election (right) "we the people" would send these knuckleheads packing.

    Dear Governor,
Thank you for providing your insight daily. I love the bible verse of the day - it helps me to stop and reflect and know what is really important in my life.
I do not trust news sources but I do trust you and what you write. I thank you for that.
I live in Illinois, home of another inept obese democratic governor who is only governor because his mommy and daddy were rich. He tries to tell me how to take care of my health. His brother is now a women and he is obese! Why would I listen to his ideas and thoughts on health!
