BIBLE VERSE OF THE DAY

Latest updates on President Biden’s $2.5 trillion “infrastructure” bill

By Mike Huckabee

Similar to the “COVID relief” bill, it’s estimated that only about 6% of the spending actually goes to things that are traditionally considered infrastructure, such as repairing roads, highways and bridges. What does the rest go to? If you guessed “Inflating government power and filling a giant sinkhole with tax money,” you wouldn’t be far off.

Monday, Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer announced that the Senate Parliamentarian had inexplicably (that’s my word) ruled that the $2.5 trillion “infrastructure” bill can be treated as a budget reconciliation measure that only requires 51 votes, meaning it can’t be stopped by a Republican filibuster.

But it’s not a done deal yet. West Virginia Sen. Joe Manchin, the moderate swing vote, says there are six or seven other Democrats who aren’t completely on board, and he warned that he won’t support the big corporate tax increases in it that will make American businesses less competitive (I will helpfully add that they will also kill jobs, send American manufacturers back overseas, and raise consumer prices. But don't worry: it will also create government job training to help you land new "green" jobs, which I'm sure will work out as well as it always has before.)

Unfortunately, Manchin signaled that he’s open to other tax increases to pay for it. He also said just a month ago that he wanted a bipartisan bill with Republican input, and now he’s talking about finding ways to vote for a massive leftwing Trojan Horse bill to pass without a single Republican vote.

This is what happens when you depend on a swinging door to hold back a flood.

I like this idea

By Mike Huckabee

While this move to strip Major League Baseball of its antitrust protections likely won’t go anywhere due to the current Congressional makeup and White House occupant, I still like the idea that it’s being tossed out there as part of the public conversation.

Anything that gives the suits running MLB some reason to worry that they might be pushing politics too far and should just get back to playing baseball is fine with me.

“But The Narrative!...”

By Mike Huckabee

A new Rasmussen survey finds that 40% of black likely voters believe that race relations have gotten worse since Biden took office. Thirty-four percent say they’re about the same, and only 22% think they’ve gotten better. Personally, I’m stunned that anyone thinks they’ve gotten better, since we now have people in charge of the government, the media and social media who think they derive their power from creating racial division, suspicion and hatred.

PayPal is pushing a leftist agenda

By Mike Huckabee

This is hardly the first time that PayPal has been accused of abusing its corporate power to push a leftist political agenda, but naturally, it had to wade into the false accusations about the Georgia election laws.

This story has a good summary of what’s actually in the Georgia laws, along with an explanation of why the claims that the law is racist are actually incredibly racist themselves. But you should also read it just to see PayPal’s reaction when someone asked if they could open a PayPal account without showing ID, the way PayPal apparently thinks you should be able to vote without showing ID. What racists they must be at PayPal!

"60 Minutes" hit piece continues blowing up in their faces

By Mike Huckabee

“60 Minutes’” attempt at a hit piece on Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis was so incompetently crafted, it continues blowing up in their faces like one of Wile E. Coyote’s bombs from the Acme Corporation. The allegation of DeSantis playing favorites with the COVID vaccine was so bogus that even Florida Democrats are defending DeSantis, calling the story “intentionally false” and saying CBS should be ashamed. He might actually come out of this stronger politically.

If you’re wondering why a once-respected icon of journalism like “60 Minutes” would flush its reputation down the toilet just to air an easily-debunked hit piece on a rising Republican, then you’ve obviously mistaken them for actual news reporters, which is something they and their colleagues haven’t been for a long time now. While it was a gradual process of devolving from personally-biased-but-professional to what they are now, we all need to acknowledge what they really are now.

As Mollie Hemingway at the Federalist explains, the accurate term is not “reporters” or “journalists,” and certainly not “mainstream media” (there’s nothing mainstream about them anymore), but “Democratic activists in the propaganda field.”

At the link, she offers plenty of examples to back this up, along with some good advice for how Republican politicians, party officials and even everyday Americans should deal with them, once they open their eyes and honestly recognize what they’re dealing with if they agree to talk to them.

The FAKE NEWS got it wrong about Sidney Powell

By Mike Huckabee

The last we heard about Sidney Powell, conservatives were scratching their heads about a story concerning her defense in Dominion Voting Systems’ defamation lawsuit against her.

According to news reports, Powell’s attorneys were embarking on a surprising defense: that what she’d said about Dominion Voting Systems was so outrageous, so downright crazy, that “no reasonable person” would believe it. And if people don’t believe what she’s been saying, then how can Dominion be damaged in any significant way? (Good question; I can almost hear the gavel pounding and the judge saying, “Case dismissed!”)

But when Trump supporters who distrusted the outcome in states with electronic voting systems, particularly Dominion’s, heard about this defense strategy, many had a hard time with it. Pundits accused Powell of shooting holes through her own theory of election cheating in order to avoid Dominion’s retaliation. I didn’t think she was doing that at all, and said as much. Considering that Dominion itself had called her claims "outrageous," etc., she appeared to be turning that around on them. Little did we know the media had gotten the story wrong.

Powell is back, in an interview on Rumble with Dinesh D’Souza. Please keep in mind that most media platforms will not allow any examination of the 2020 election, let alone an interview with Sidney Powell that specifically discusses Dominion Voting Systems, so the difficulty in finding her has nothing to do with her believability, only with the realities of censorship and “cancel culture” in 2021.

In Part 1, D'Souza introduces Powell as the attorney for Michael Flynn; recall that she completely upended the non-defense that Flynn had been receiving and helped him change his plea from guilty to not guilty, and hijinks ensued. We all stood up and cheered that Flynn, after being so abused by the FBI and Obama White House, was finally getting the mother-bear defense he deserved.

Recall that even when the Justice Department finally withdrew the case against him, Judge Emmet Sullivan wouldn’t let it go and weirdly continued to act as prosecutor. It took a pardon from President Trump to stick a fork in this overbaked case. My point: Sidney Powell is one powerhouse attorney. As D’Souza points out, she’s been the lead attorney in over 500 federal appeals, 350 of these as assistant U.S. attorney, in addition to her many other credentials. She’s well known for her book LICENSE TO LIE.

She does not back down, and she is no crackpot. So when my team and I accepted the odd story about her defense, it was because we assumed there must be a method to her madness.

D'Souza begins the interview by saying, “We’re gonna talk about all the stuff we’re ‘not supposed to talk about’” because “the digital moguls have decided that we can’t.” And then they do.

He repeats the argument on the left, notably from CNN’s Jake Tapper, that Powell’s defense against Dominion is “a big win for his [Tapper’s] side” because it means that what she’d been saying about Dominion was opinion, not fact. He asks her flat-out if she’s backtracking from what she’d said in the beginning about Dominion.

And she says that NO, SHE ISN’T. She is taking back nothing in her original claims.

She says that news reports referring to her DC Circuit case have misquoted a statement from the decision or have taken it out of context. In other words --- who would believe it? --- reporters got it wrong. “It’s not what I said at all,” she tells D’Souza. “No, I firmly believe everything I said was true. It was based on thousands of pages of affidavits, expert reports, mathematical analysis that cannot be challenged, statistical work that cannot be challenged. I mean, the data does not lie.”

Let me make it clear, I’m simply passing along what Sidney Powell is saying about her personal belief that there was widespread fraud. It is a fact that she believes this, and what I say here is a correction to a previous widely-reported story that falsely suggested she doesn’t. I do not have hard evidence that widespread fraud changed the outcome of the election, but Sydney Powell claims it’s there, and I’m quoting her.

She accuses NBC of reporting “a bald-faced lie” when they said she doesn’t believe what she had said about Dominion. “It’s a complete mischaracterization of what we said in our pleading and what I believe and know to be the truth. I’m not backin’ up one inch.”

"Everything I said about Dominion, I had a factual basis for,” she continues. “Any reasonable person looking at the evidence I’ve seen would have to come to the same conclusion.”

The interview is divided into four parts. Here’s Part 2, which includes her claims about voting machines “weighing” votes differently –- she said this should have resulted in a federal criminal investigation –- and also what she called orchestrated foreign interference.

In Part 3, they discuss why evidence of fraud hasn’t been examined. She says she’s “beyond disappointed in the Department of Justice” and that President Trump had “a failure of nerve.”

Finally, in Part 4, they discuss the heartbreak of what’s actually happening in America. “The GOP is part of the swamp,” she says at one point. “Neither the campaign nor the RNC were interested in challenging the results of the election. Everyone just wanted to pack it up and go home. It was the most horrible situation I’ve ever personally witnessed...in any sort of pursuit of truth or justice.”

Powell encourages people to go to her website.

We did, and can save you some searching because we found this update, called “Sidney Powell Responds to the Fake News.”

It lays out in more detail what she was telling D’Souza in their interview. The Dominion case, she says, has no merit because it’s going after her for her LEGAL OPINION, an opinion that she claims is based on evidence that she presented to four different courts. As such, her statements are “not subject to to challenge under defamation law.”

And she says she did NOT say that ‘no reasonable person’ would believe her claims.

The page also includes a statement from her attorney, Howard Kleinhendler, which accuses the media of “cutting and pasting” portions of their motion to dismiss the Dominion complaint. He concludes: “In short, the legal standard of a technical legal defense crafted by the court has been improperly manipulated by the media to tell a false narrative. Ms. Powell is not backing down or retracting her previous statements concerning Dominion. Dominion’s case lacks legal merit and should be dismissed in its entirety.”

"ANY suggestion,” her attorney says, “that ‘no reasonable person’ would believe Ms. Powell or her comments on the election is false.”

News outlets are staying faaaaar away from Sidney Powell's claims, so you won’t see her cropping up on most shows. (Fortunately, Rumble is one of those brave platforms that support free speech and won’t “cancel” a story about election fraud.) Perhaps the best way to stay updated on her litigation is to check periodically here.

And, of course, we’ll be on it.

Governor Huckabee: Thank you for adding clarity to an otherwise murky world. My family & I emigrated to this wonderful country beginning with my grandfather. In fact he fought in WWII while my father fought in the Italian Cavalry. My grandfather helped us come to this county, and I'm so grateful he did. Lately, I believe he would be spinning in his grave at Ft. Logan National Cemetery if he could see the evil taking over our country. I appreciate what & how you think, and how you express those thoughts. Thank you for all you do.

The Progressives aka Socialist Agenda is designed to give the D's POWER and More CONTROL. I'm certain that "What Goes Around, Comes Around" America has accepted the narrative that the election was 100% on the Up and Up. I Predict that UNLESS Biden actually destroys the Republic the D's will be sent to the ash heap of history by their own hand. Half of America has expressed Common Sense and the other half is having Buyers Remorse except for Lenin's Useful Idiots.

    Gov. Huckabee,
Your news letters are the highlight of my day. Refreshing to experience the truth.
There is a lot of confusion in our country!!!! MLB is BLM in reverse. Or they one in the same?

Hi Governor, I’m a big fan of yours. Question - As an employee of Coca Cola, what is your suggestion for how to boycott them? I’ve worked as a merchandiser for just over a year. They constantly put their employees in danger, fail to supply adequate PPE, full time worked during the lockdowns with little to no hazard pay, hire mgrs who enjoy putting subordinates in known uncomfortable situations, force employees to take monthly safety training yet dont care tor employees safety, employees Must get a 100% on safety training tests or retake to make Coke look good, had BLM training, put together a ‘diversity council’ of volunteers but prevented a white volunteer from joining, and supplies hydration to the world but NOT their merchandisers.

After what Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson (R) did re the SAFE Act -- your lovely daughter Sarah should easily become Arkansas' next Governor. Praise God Asa's veto was overridden! Now every other state with any common sense whatsoever should put the same Act into effect.

To correct the mistake MLB is making by moving the All Star game, Trump should hold a rally at the stadium where it was supposed to be played. He would draw as big a crowd (possibly bigger) and the vendors would still make their money as well. The rally should also co-inside with the game to draw away viewers.

Thank you for your honesty and caring!

I want politicians of all parties to stop insulting good people!

I am so confused and, to an extent, saddened that I have minority friends all across the USA, the Pacific and Cyprus and never knew that any of them wanted to be treated like second class citizens who knew nothing of how to navigate their own neighborhoods!

I had an wonderful “Aunt” in my home town who was African American and she was my mother’s age and could get around on her own until her 90’s! All of her family called my family members aunt, uncle, grandpa/grandma or cousin! I knew a wonderful lady of color from NYC who travelled by air to Texas every year to visit for two to three weeks and she was never to be considered to be too dumb to know how to vote or get things done in her neighborhood! She was in her 90’s! She had relatives in Georgia and elsewhere and visited when she could!

I grew up around families of every color and their parents were just as caring and had just as much pride as my parents! Now, in my later years, I am to believe these same people, their children and grandchildren cannot understand how to ride public transit systems, get a ride on a Medicare shuttle, or other transport system or from a friend/neighbor/church member or family members to get an ID necessary for medical purposes, transportation systems, for a rental property or many other things and can ONLY fill out an absent ballot with help when they raised a family and survived all these years raising families and not starving?

I am embarrassed for them to be insulted in this way by their families, local city and federal government employees!

They should NOT be the center of “oh it prevents citizens of color from voting” issues! Degrading more like terms such as “those poor dumb half breeds” were when I was growing up in Oklahoma because none were dumb and being poor was not a reason to blame others!

Why are people of color after all these years considered to be dumb or uneducated? Why? None that I have ever met meet those descriptions- ever from 1940’s to today!

The 60 plus year olds that I taught in Texas or the teachers I trained in many states or islands were NOT dumb!!! Poor maybe, but not dumb and not so poor that they did not care for their own children and family members!

So why now? Someone convince me that now just being of color makes me too “hampered” to do what is needed to buy groceries, pick up items at the senior citizens’ centers, get a ride, get help from a friend? Why have we gone backwards when times were much harder and harsher back then than today yet these other generations made it and many became leaders in their communities, churches, governments and more?

They DID seem to all have a strong belief in themselves and in God!

Just explain to me why today’s are not better than then and before you do remember many in government today were there then as well!

If evidence is proven and I do believe it is there, that the election was wrought with fraud and that Biden did NOT get elected because the election was full of fraud and illegalities, and he did not rightfully win election, would the proof cause an immediate recall of Biden and his whole EO's and President Trump be given the win for the election and we can actually continue with America First policies that President Trump put into place, and anything that Biden and Congress has done in the past 100 days, be null and void? Of course this is the first time this would happen, but also it is the first time that the U.S. Constitution will outweigh Congress because of all the fraud Congress has caused and that all those that were given seats illegally, will be thrown out and the true winners will take over and we will have a Republican Congress and Republican President that we can continue to strengthen America with and become highly revered and respected by all other countries because the rightful winners won. And by August, President Trump will be in the White House again and again in control, and all those others that promoted this fraud we are in right now, will all be arrested and imprisoned. If courts got the back bone that Sidney Powell has, then this can actually become reality. Let's hope and pray that it is part of God's plan that this fraud and all those promoting it, including the media and big tech, will all be punished for it and held accountable with arrests and imprisonment.

First, your newsletter, along with Tucker Carlson and precious few others, is the only open window to TRUTH available since the wicked stole the election. Your reporting is stellar. Its accurate, well researched, truthful and unbiased. Thank you and bless you all Mike.

Second, the bizarre nature of a people's mind being taken over by propaganda based on lies we see in the history of many nations, all of whom have come to ruin. While I love this country as my home, I also see its failures in the murder of 70 million defenseless babies. What can one do when a country's foundations are being destroyed? My thinking is that God is orchestrating it's demise. The Democratic party and the far left is an active cancer destroying its host only to be left with a dead body which will end up being the disease's own casket with nothing left for it to feed on but itself.
May God be merciful with these deceitful louts because the truth in fact certainly will not be. But then, what do they care, they are only accountable to a God whom they do not believe in. We have been taken over by a godless cancer whose only drive is to feed their current appetites for power, money and anything else that does not speak to a life here after. They have no concept or care for the common good and what their oath of office entails.

This country is truly in trouble.
