Maybe the U.S. attorney's office in Delaware that’s had the Hunter Biden finance case for so long needs to hire a few hard-working reporters from the DAILY MAIL to help get ‘er done. When they get information, they jump right on it. (Recall that it was cyber forensic experts at the DAILY MAIL who authenticated Hunter’s laptop.) But government investigators are not jumping on this, except perhaps to tamp it into the ground.

Sens. Chuck Grassley of Iowa and Ron Johnson of Wisconsin, who've been investigating this themselves for four years, sent more than 200 pages of bank records detailing the financial transactions of Hunter and the President’s brother Jim to prosecutor David Weiss on Tuesday, along with a withering letter slamming him for “failure to respond to our legitimate oversight requests.”

Two years ago, they say in their letter, they released reports that showed “potential criminal financial activity” by the Bidens, showing how “their extensive links to foreign governments and questionable foreign nationals posed counterintelligence and extortion concerns.” When they did this, they say, the media and some of their Democratic colleagues falsely labeled their work as “advancing Russian disinformation.” (That’s always the go-to response, isn’t it? How many times will they go back to that well?)  So, in March and April of this year, the senators followed that release with speeches from the Senate floor publicizing more records that “corroborated and further substantiated the foreign financial transactions and connections we described in our previous reports.”

The senators remind Weiss that after giving those floor speeches, they’d written to him to find out if he possessed those records, which reflected “the Biden family’s financial connections to the Communist Chinese government.” After he “failed to answer,” the Department of ‘Justice’ had “interceded” for him but still failed to answer their questions.

The bank records they’ve just sent him and also released publicly are intended to supplement their floor speeches from earlier this year. They include, according to the letter, “over one hundred pages of unredacted and previously unreleased bank records relating to one of Hunter Biden’s businesses, Hudson West III,” a company owned jointly by Hunter’s firm and a subsidiary of Chinese energy giant CEFC.

“If you are conducting a full and complete investigation,” they say (with understandable skepticism), “you should already possess these records. In the case that you are not and do not possess these records, we suggest that you review them in detail.”

At this point, it does seem much more likely that Weiss is NOT conducting a full and complete investigation. His feet must really hurt from all that foot-dragging. I’d like to compare this story with an article that ran in my newsletter just yesterday, detailing step-by-step the incredible amount of effort that was put into building a phony case to frame candidate and then President Trump for “colluding” with Russia. That case was based on carefully constructed lies, all told in service to Hillary Clinton's candidacy. Now, we have a REAL case, involving millions of highly questionable dollars and finances interwoven with the Chinese Communist Party, and the government won’t even move. I know I’ve used the term “banana republic” a lot, but that’s what we see when we “peel” the curtain back.

To make it easier for Weiss, the senators even include a handy illustrated flowchart for him, showing the various financial transactions and people involved, reminiscent of the corkboard I used on my TBN show to detail all the players in the Russia Hoax. Their chart, as well as details on specific transactions, are included in the DAILY MAIL story.

“...Mounting evidence,” the DAILY MAIL reports, “in text messages, emails and photos, of Joe’s knowledge and even involvement in his family’s Chinese business, suggests the cash could have been part of an attempt to gain influence with the future President.”

In case Weiss isn’t taking this seriously, Grassley and Johnson explain in their letter that CEFC isn’t just a private company. It received financing from the state-owned China Development Bank and hired a number of former officials from state-owned energy companies. They cite a REUTERS article from 2017 stating that CEFC’s subsidiaries were awash with Communist Party committees, “more than at many private Chinese companies.” CEFC also had ties with Chinese intelligence.

“CEFC was the perfect vehicle to bring financial benefits to the communist regime under the guise of a private sector company,” according to the senators.

Read the DAILY MAIL story for the full financial details, which add up to nearly $11 million, and no, that is not a typo. It's what the family squirreled away in one particularly lucrative year.  The story also recalls evidence that Hunter was well aware of the company’s ties to the Chinese government and, specifically, Chinese intelligence.

One particularly disconcerting aspect of this arrangement was the relationship of Hunter with a young Chinese woman named JiaQi (“Jackie”) Bao, who worked as a staffer for Hunter and was almost certainly an intel agent for the Chinese government. (She has since vanished.) In fact, this week, Rep. James Comer of Kentucky, ranking member of the House Oversight Committee, wrote to the FBI demanding information on Bao, saying she “liaised with CCP-affiliated agents on the Bidens’ behalf” and that her relationship with Hunter went “beyond professional obligations –- a common tactic employed by Chinese agents.”

She has the perfect background to be chosen for such work. After graduating from Tsinghua University, which according to Rep. Comer is a recruiting hub for the Chinese intelligence service, she went to work for the PRC’s National Development and Reform Commission, which approves projects that receive foreign funding.

I wonder how many years it will take to get answers on this from Director Wray. He, Weiss and AG Merrick Garland should all just carry little cards that say, “I can’t comment on an ongoing investigation.”

……..

In addition to these 200+ pages of financial records, a 634-page report by the conservative non-profit research group Marco Polo has just been released that, according to Miranda Devine at the NEW YORK POST, who broke the story on the laptop back in October 2020, provides “a thorough forensic examination of every document on the first son’s notorious MacBook computer that he abandoned in a Delaware repair shop in April 2019.”

https://nypost.com/2022/10/26/the-634-page-report-on-hunter-bidens-laptop/

This very heavily-footnoted report alleges 459 crimes committed by Hunter Biden, including illegal foreign lobbying and money laundering, and also six crimes committed by Joe Biden.

Marco Polo was founded by 26-year-old Garrett Ziegler, who worked in the White House as deputy to Trump adviser Peter Navarro. (Editorial aside: we have to wonder how long it will take the FBI to lead HIM away in handcuffs.) He’s sent copies of his report to 4,000 people, including:

–- every member of the House and Senate

–- the White House staffers

–- U.S. attorneys’ offices

–- every contact on Hunter’s laptop

–- (for some reason) every member of Hunter’s Archmere Academy Class of ‘88

And, look, we get one, too! We haven’t quite had time to read its 600+ pages yet, but here you go...

I have not received your ee mail letters now for more than a week. Did you drop me? Oddly, I am not getting any e mail from conservative newsworthy sites. Not Epoch times, not Gary Bauer, not the Indiana Republican Party--nothing of that sort.
