It’s long been said that if you want to know what the Democrats are really doing at any given time, just look at what they’re accusing the Republicans of.

Currently, they’re accusing Republicans of being violent extremists with no respect for the Constitution, fair elections or the rule of law. Also, those rascally “MAGA Republicans” voted to defund the police! (That’s a reference to the GOP’s refusal to back a massive, government-bloating, debt-exploding, inflation-fueling spending bill that happened to include a little money for policing.) And the reliable old stand-by, that it's the Republicans who are racists.

And of course, let us not forget that it’s the Republicans who abuse the media to promote “disinformation.” You know, “disinformation” like reporting that the “Russian collusion” story was a hoax, Hunter Biden’s laptop was real and COVID vaccines can have side effects.

Well, here’s the latest example of the Dems’ terminal case of projection. Axios reports that since 2021, at least 51 alleged “local news sites” have appeared in key swing states that are actually propaganda sites designed to promote Democrat candidates. They have benign-sounding names like the Mecklenburg Herald, the Valley Gazette and the Tri-City Record. According to Axios, they’re all managed by a company called Local Report, Inc., and all appear to be connected to the American Independent (TAI), which was “launched by Democratic operative and fundraiser David Brock.”

Brock has plenty of experience at pretending to be something he really isn’t, as the leader of Media Matters, a Democrat hit squad masquerading as a nonpartisan, tax-free nonprofit “media watchdog.”

Although to be fair, it is awfully hard to distinguish between a fake news site that only exists to elect Democrats and the New York Times.

Check out the link above to Breitbart.com for more details about this fetid stew of dark money, hidden agendas and false fronts posing as hometown news organizations. And this article by Catherine Salgado at PJ Media includes more site names, examples of how Democrat campaigns have touted their slanted news stories, and a tip on how to recognize one of these stealth propaganda outlets.

Of course, Media Matters would probably tell you not to look at Breitbart or PJ Media. Why, those are right-wing disinformation sites!
