MORNING NEWS:

2. Allegations of Pelosi's own "Praetorian Guard":

We recently brought you the story about the U.S. Capitol Police --- the cops under the supervision of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi --- having an intelligence unit (!) and quietly using it to look into the backgrounds of people who meet with legislators away from the Capitol building. Since the Capitol building is currently closed to visitors, that would mean everybody.

These investigations are called “Congressional Event Assessments.” The police say they’re doing this to assess risk, but they’re looking at such things as personal property records and social media accounts. They’re even investigating Capitol Hill staffers. In case you’d like a refresher before the update that follows, here’s the original story from POLITICO.

https://www.politico.com/news/2022/01/24/capitol-police-social-media-00000948

The changes were made by Julie Farnam, a Department of Homeland Security official who was brought on last fall. She apparently shook things up –- especially after January 6 –- making some controversial changes to the internal intelligence protocols and fixing it so one couldn’t meet with one’s own representative in Congress without undergoing, figuratively speaking, a cavity search.

But even then, we didn’t know just how controversial these changes would be. According to a new story from Sean Davis at The Federalist, the Inspector General has opened an investigation into allegations that the USCP illegally spied on MEMBERS OF CONGRESS and their staffs.

That doesn’t seem like risk assessment to me, unless they’re trying to say members of Congress pose a danger to themselves.

https://thefederalist.com/2022/02/08/inspector-general-opens-investigation-into-u-s-capitol-police-following-allegations-of-spying-on-members-of-congress-staff/

It’s a funny thing about spying --- some people REALLY like doing it. And once they, and/or those giving them the orders, get a taste of it and find out how much they thrill to that feeling of power, they expand their activities and look into more and more. Somebody might want to have a little talk with Speaker Pelosi about that, and also with her hand-picked Capitol security adviser, retired Lt. Gen. Russel Honore. A congressional aide put it this way: “Instead of fixing the problems with Capitol security, Pelosi used January 6 as an excuse to create her own personal Praetorian Guard.”

Anyway, USCP Chief J. Thomas Manger confirmed in a letter to seven Republican members of Congress that an investigation into this spying had been opened in response to congressional inquiries. He couched this announcement in almost absurdly positive language: “While I am confident in our methods, I am asking the USCP Office of the Inspector General to review the USCP’s programs related to the security assessments, to assure both this committee, the Congress as a whole, and the public that these processes are legal, necessary and appropriate.”

One member of Congress, Texas Rep. Troy Nehls, had been particularly concerned. He claims that this past November, a member of the Capitol Police entered his office on a Saturday while Congress was in recess and photographed a whiteboard that detailed various legislative plans being considered by Nehls and his staff. The formal police report filed by the officer said that he had found one of the doors to Nehls’ office open.

(ASIDE: I thought we’d learned from January 6 that just because a Capitol building door is open, it doesn’t mean you can walk right in!)

The officer said in his report that he was concerned because the whiteboard had “suspicious writings mentioning body armor.” Outrageously, three plainclothes intel officers were dispatched by the USCP to Nehls’ office the following Monday and questioned a staffer about what was written on the board.

Not that it was the officer’s business why this congressman’s whiteboard had a mention of body armor, but a spokesperson for Nehls explained to The Federalist that this was because of a Washington Post article about the Chinese manufacturing faulty body armor. Nehls was considering drafting legislation banning the procurement of Chinese body armor. (NOTE: We’re buying Chinese body armor?? By all means, pass that law.)

The officer said he was also concerned by “an outline of the Rayburn Building with an X marked at the C Street entrance.” Nehls’ spokesperson said this was just a crude drawing to help a new intern find the ice machine.

As it happens, Nehls is a former cop who knows a lot about law enforcement priorities. “When I was a patrol officer responding to a call,” he said, “I didn’t have the time or authority to go through someone’s personal papers. There are serious 4th Amendment, constitutional issues at play here.”

Matt Vespa at Townhall has more about the plainclothes officers coming by. Apparently they were dressed as construction workers (I am not making this up) and trying to enter again but were discovered by members of his staff.

https://townhall.com/tipsheet/mattvespa/2022/02/08/gop-congressman-i-caught-the-capitol-police-illegally-investigating-me-n2602992

Nehls tweeted on Tuesday, “They had no authority to photograph my office, let alone investigate myself or members of my staff. So, why is the Capitol Police Leadership maliciously investigating me in an attempt to destroy me and my character?” He appeared on Tucker Carlson show that night to say more.

https://video.foxnews.com/v/6296433785001#sp=show-clips

It turns out there are reasons why he, specifically, might have been targeted. He’s one of the legislators chosen by Minority Leader McCarthy to be on Pelosi’s “Select Committee” on January 6 (she wouldn’t seat him), and admits he’s been “a very vocal critic” of January 6, especially the lack of response by Capitol Police. He has called the investigation into the death of Ashli Babbitt a “SHAM,”, saying her killing by USCP officer Michael Byrd should have gone before a grand jury.

“I believe that Nancy Pelosi is weaponizing the U.S. Capitol Police to investigate me, try to silence me, intimidate me, and, quite honestly, to destroy me,” he said. “...The chief of police, Manger, he’s downplaying this, but I’m telling you, they’re coming after anyone that has a dissenting point of view, anybody that doesn’t agree with them.”

Julie Kelly with American Greatness appeared Tuesday on Laura Ingraham’s show to explain how information turned up by this highly inappropriate surveillance can be used in “an ongoing smear campaign.” (Kelly literally wrote the book on January 6, called, appropriately, “JANUARY 6: How Democrats Used the Capitol Protest to Launch a War On Terror Against the Political Right.”)

https://www.msn.com/en-us/video/viral/gop-congressmen-claim-capitol-police-are-illegally-spying-on-them/vi-AATDq79

The USCP said in a statement to The Federalist that they categorically deny any spying on on lawmakers and their staff and claim the POLITICO article is inaccurate. It’ll be interesting to see what an IG investigation shows, though we’ve seen from such internal investigations in the past --- IG Horowitz comes to mind --- that they can’t be counted on. Will the IG stand up to Pelosi’s claim of “sovereign immunity”?

Republican Rep. Rodney Davis of Illinois summed it up well: “There are way too many unanswered questions. The Capitol Police have a lot of explaining to do. My main concern is that the entire Capitol Police board structure is dependent on political leadership to make security decisions. Security decisions are being made based on politics, not on real data.”

3. BLM fiscal issues:

You know the old saying, “A fool and his money are soon parted.” Well, the same goes for terrified, rich white liberals who frantically virtue-signal by throwing money at any group that might call them racist if they don’t pony up.

That’s what happened in the wake of the George Floyd riots with the group Black Lives Matter. We were all ordered to publicly declare our support for BLM or be condemned as racists who think black lives don't matter -- even though many of us tried to point out that this group’s founders had a history of anti-American, Marxist politics and hateful, divisive rhetoric. To those terrified of being Twitter-shamed, it didn’t matter. Both individuals and top US corporations showered this at-best questionable organization with around $90 million that could have gone to real charities and community organizations that actually help black people. BLM reportedly didn’t even share it with pastors and local aid groups in black neighborhoods that had been torn apart and burned down by the rioters.

For months, rumors have been surfacing about where all that money has gone and about BLM leaders’ suspicious purchases of expensive real estate. But in the past week, the collapse has quickened, starting with an expose of BLM’s lack of financial transparency by the Washington Examiner.

https://redstate.com/bonchie/2022/02/02/black-lives-matter-goes-dark-after-bombshell-revelations-n516312

As the Daily Mail reports, investigations of BLM’s lack of compliance with non-profit financial laws have been launched in California, Washington State and Indiana, whose attorney general compared the Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation to a “house of cards” and “an illegal enterprise.” Their charity registration is also out of compliance in Connecticut, Maine, Maryland, New Jersey, North Carolina and Virginia, and that's the list so far.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10477429/The-collapse-BLMs-scandal-plagued-charity-hurt-Black-people-Blame-donors-KIRA-DAVIS.html

Now, the national arm of BLM has shut down all its online fundraising streams, in response to the growing scandal and demands from state officials that it cease fundraising until its finances are examined. That won’t be easy because as RedState.com writer Bonchie bluntly put it, “The pack of grifters who started BLM got their cut and essentially disappeared.”

It’s tragic when you think of all the good that could have been done with that money in poor neighborhoods where kids need things like safe, clean parks, better books and school supplies, tuition aid and job training, if it had only been given to legitimate charities and local churches. But the creators of BLM understood that guilty white liberals know only one solution to every problem: throw money at it. All they had to do was threaten to become a problem for rich white liberals, and they were showered with money. Now, who among their donors will dare to ask for a refund?

4. Rumble and Rogan:

While Spotify struggles to mollify former anti-Establishment icons like Neil Young who now demand that nobody question authority (“Never trust anyone under 30!”) and removes old episodes of Joe Rogan’s podcast for fear they’ll offend someone, the social media platform Rumble has called up a black swan (are we still allowed to use that term?) Rumble unexpectedly offered Rogan $100 million to bring his popular show to their pro-free speech platform, including all the old episodes, with no censorship.

https://www.zerohedge.com/technology/rumble-ceo-offers-joe-rogan-100-million-make-world-better-place

This is how the Founders intended for free speech to work: you don’t like what someone is saying, say something in response, don’t try to silence the people you disagree with. On the downside, I assume this means you won’t be able to listen to Neil Young on Rumble, but I prefer Lynyrd Skynyrd anyway.

5. Congratulations! You’re a terrorist!:

Do you suspect that maybe some elections in certain precincts are not entirely on the up-and-up? Or have you ever criticized the federal government’s handling of the COVID pandemic? Well, congratulations! You’re a terrorist!

https://redstate.com/nick-arama/2022/02/08/dhs-terrorism-advisory-targets-misinformation-that-undermines-trust-in-govt-n519424

The Biden Department of Homeland Security just issued a new “terrorism threat advisory,” detailing what activities might be considered terrorist threats. These now include continued calls for violence against US soft targets such as critical infrastructure, churches, synagogues, etc. (that makes sense)…Calls by foreign terrorist organizations for attacks on the US (obvious, although Biden doesn’t seem too concerned about the Iranian Mullahs chanting “Death to America”)…And (brace yourself) “the proliferation of false or misleading narratives, which sow discord or undermine public trust in US government institutions.” Examples cited were claims of election fraud or “mis-, dis- or (a new one!) mal-information” about government COVID policies.

That’s right: to this Administration, free speech that criticizes or questions the government now puts you on the same “threat” suspicion level as an ISIS leader. I guess if you’re also a parent who doesn’t want your kid brainwashed with racist, leftist propaganda, you’re a double terrorist.

Since they’ve now introduced the concept of “malinformation” as terrorism, I’d like to add a few more “mal-“ words to describe what I think of this: malicious, malignant, maladjusted, maladroit, and to use one of Biden’s favorite terms, malarkey.

It appears that Biden and his staffers need to take a remedial course in what the word “terrorist” means because while they’re branding anyone who disagrees with their wildly unpopular policies as a “terrorist,” Biden is releasing actual terrorists back into the world to kill again. Just this week, he decided to release Mohammed Abdul Malik Bajabu from Gitmo. Bajabu helped plan and execute the deadly 2002 Chanukah-eve bombing of the Paradise Hotel in Mombasa, Kenya, and the fortunately failed attempt to bring down an Israeli passenger jetliner with two missiles.

https://www.heritagefl.com/story/2022/02/04/opinions/biden-frees-another-gitmo-terrorist/16153.html

Now, THAT’S what I’d call a terrorist! And why do I suspect he’ll go right back to it, despite any attempts to “deprogram” him? Because according to a US intelligence report from 2021, 229 “rehabbed” former Gitmo detainees went back to terrorism and killing Americans, and as of that time, 66% were still at large.

https://nypost.com/2021/08/21/hundreds-of-released-gitmo-detainees-back-to-killing-americans/

The federal government has proven itself singularly inept at preventing terrorist attacks and mass shootings, at keeping dangerous people from crossing the border, and at preventing captured terrorists from going back to terrorism. How much more difficult will that job be if the people who are supposed to be monitoring actual terrorist activity are wasting countless hours harassing every American who legitimately criticizes the government?

Oops, I guess I shouldn’t have said that. I’m a terrorist now. In fact, I’ll be waiting for Newsweek to run a cover story called “We Are All Terrorists Now.”

Related: Say, do you know who was a fervent advocate for terrorist suspects held at Gitmo? One of President Biden’s top contenders for a Supreme Court nomination. What a surprise.

6. Guaranteed monthly income for illegal immigrants:

Here’s the latest thing that the leftwing Kellogg Foundation is doing with the money it makes from breakfast cereals: bankrolling a program to provide illegal immigrants with a guaranteed monthly income.

https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2022/02/08/kellogg-foundation-bankrolls-500-monthly-income-for-illegal-aliens/

Say, you know what’s a good cereal? Post Raisin Bran. There's also Coco Puffs from General Mills. I think that even the Kellogg's people eat that, because they're coo-coo.

If Congress passed laws forbidding the sale of chinese goods in the US, let's say after Jan 1 2025 how long would it take to have chip manufacturers here. Or clothing manufacturers, or tool manufacturers? I don't know of any good clothing manufacturers in the U.S. Or Tools either.

    Governor:

Over and over I hear conservative pundits say they can't understand why socialist democrats won't admit and address the rising crime rates.

It's actually pretty simple. Soros got all these local DAs and liberal Police Chief's in place along with all his state and federal officials to take over everything.

Once crime is so bad even liberal people demand action, in comes the new purged liberal led military and rank and file to take over all our large cities in the name of fighting crime.

Then Soros and his puppets take over our country.

American voters are also complicit idiots. All the mandates are being lifted across blue states. Then these socialist democrats will claim their policies worked. Then the voters in November will forget all about the absurd lockdowns and the Afghanistan fiasco and socialist keep the House and Senate. Soros wins again, making his takeover even easier.

I hope I'm wrong, but don't count on it.

Appreciate articles. The info here on the "uprising" and other stuff came out shortly after it occurred. Epoch Times blew the whistle on the Wuhan "flu" and the "uprising within a month of both. They got the emails and other stuff before Nancy's goon squad could squash it. Now we have her Gestapo running amok. It appears they have weaponized all federal branches now and looking for or conspiring to have a civil war. Today the leftists voted on the UN small arms treaty to take over all weapons like has been done in all socialist/communist countries. What a mess. Without God we are lost!

John 14:2... This may surprise you! The word "mansion" is also used ONLY AGAIN in v23, where it refers to the Holy Spirit making YOU His mansion! Now, what's His house? Architecturally, the traditional interpretation is a mess. How about this: His Church... in which were already many members (OT prophets, centurion, Syrian woman...), thus mansions of the Spirit—but not yet the disciples. "I'm going to prepare a place for you": the cross, to clean the sin out of your house so We can turn it into Our mansion. The disciples would become mansions at Pentecost.

I don't think these verses have anything to do with Heaven, but rather the miracle of the cross itself and the joy He has of making you His mansion HERE!

Your story about the Kellogg Foundation could seemingly be multiplied ad infinitum. There has never been so much information. But little of it is trustworthy. The difficulty we each have is knowing how to winnow out the chaff for the few grains of truth.

Dumb dumb Rivera forgets the misery mandates create Rivera does not mind if he loses his rights or freedoms until they really are embarked upon him. Maybe dumb dumb can see if he can get some unused body parts from Catlin Jenner the one he has may be useless as he is. Rivera doesn't know if he is coming or going he floats around like biden himself useless.
