I know that You can do everything,

And that no purpose of Yours can be withheld from You.

Senate “Majority” Leader Chuck Schumer has the kind of brainstorm that only he can drizzle up

Let’s fight inflation through taking even more money away from Americans by raising taxes. And in an election year! Once again, he wants to try to pass this unpopular major legislation via the narrow loophole of falsely labeling it a “reconciliation bill,” so it would need only 51 votes to pass. Paging Joe Manchin, your nation is calling once again…

Bonus: Why, yes, in pushing this, Schumer did lie about the Trump tax cuts only benefiting the rich. Would you expect anything less of him?

Move to Texas

If all those Silicon Valley leftists are really so triggered that they just can’t keep working for Twitter if Elon Musk allows (horrors!) free speech, then here’s a great solution: Musk could fire them and move Twitter headquarters to Texas.

In fact, a Texas landowner is offering him 100 acres of free land in a growing, sought-after area north of Austin if he’ll do that. Musk already has SpaceX and Boring Company in Texas, and the land is less than 40 miles from his Tesla headquarters in Austin. I’m sure he’ll have no problem filling the positions with qualified workers, including many who fled California for Texas to get away from leftist nuts like the ones at Twitter.

As for the ones left behind, if they can’t find some other company that will put up with their childish tantrums, maybe they could live with Nancy Pelosi. She’s got a big house and plenty of ice cream.

Note to whoever is writing President Biden’s speeches

Don’t use words like “kleptocracy.” Stick with something like “bad guys.” Also avoid "accommodate" because I don't think he knows what that means.

Some interesting comments in that article, including this from Washington Times columnist Tim Young: "Joe Biden struggling to say ‘Kleptocracy,’ which is ironic since his family literally is one."

New Report

If you think all that COVID emergency relief money contributed greatly to the explosion of inflation, the supply chain crisis and the labor shortage…well, you’re right. But on the plus side for Democrats, it also filled the coffers of a lot of their most radical, government trough-feeding support groups.

For instance, here’s a new report that found that $46 billion worth of funds from the “American Rescue Plan” went to implementing Critical Race Theory in schools in 13 blue states.

So apparently, their idea of “rescuing America” is by teaching kids to hate it.

Matt Vespa to Senate Republicans: Don’t do it!

Matt Vespa of joins the chorus wondering if some Senate Republicans want to blow the election by working with the Democrats on “immigration reform.” For voters, this issue is pretty simple: worry about reforming immigration after you restore our border.

Note from reader on gender identity

From Floyd U III, on Substack:

Thank you. And no, women aren’t the world’s only egg producers. I buy and eat lots of chicken ?? eggs ??. I haven’t noticed a lot of concern about chicken gender identity ??

From the Gov:

Thanks, Floyd! I haven't, either. Maybe from the Dixie Chicks...

Why doesn't Biden need Congressional permission to waive repayment of student loans? It has the same budget impact as spending money on a project.
