I find it interesting that ever since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, so many liberal media figures and celebrities have been making pronouncements about how the Bible somehow supports or at least doesn’t condemn abortion. I assume most of them never get within 10 feet of a Bible unless they’re staying in a hotel room, but suddenly, they’re theologians.
The latest expert on what Jesus would do about abortion is MSNBC host Joe Scarborough, who seems to think it’s “heresy” to believe that Jesus wouldn’t support abortion. Joe, when Jesus said, “Suffer little children,” that wasn’t an endorsement of abortion.

On the subject of abortion, this is an interesting read. It’s about how some Republicans who have always run as pro-life are now backing away because it’s suddenly become a controversial issue since it’s been sent back to the states. Some are even hoping for a federal compromise law allowing abortion with some limits, to take the issue off the table (and never mind that the SCOTUS just ruled that under the Constitution, this is a state issue, not a federal issue.)
I’ve been telling people for years that if Roe were ever overturned, it would not automatically ban abortion; it would just send it back to the states. That meant the pro-life side would have to be ready to alter its strategies and work to change hearts and minds on the state level. Nobody ever said that saving pre-born babies from a well-funded system created to destroy them was going to be easy. But it’s worth the fight. However, if you claim to be pro-life but are willing to do an end-run around the Constitution to pass a questionable federal law allowing any level of it just for political expediency, then you’re not much better than the Democrats who voted for a federal law to allow it right up through birth.
