Last night, the Democrats took another step in their crusade to “save our democracy” by letting party elites officially anoint Kamala Harris as their nominee without any challengers or without her earning a single vote in the primary elections, which were won by someone else. Democracy!

It was also announced that Harris’ running mate will be Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz. The choice was questioned by some pundits, and not just because he’s a white male. Walz’s record is veeery liberal (COVID totalitarianism, unfettered abortion, loosening voter integrity laws, legalizing marijuana, making the state a “sanctuary” for illegal immigrants and the “transing” of minors, etc.) Minnesota is a state the Democrats were likely to win anyway, with the voters’ history of being gluttons for punishment. Matt Vespa at Townhall.com explains how this gives the Democrats the most extreme leftist presidential ticket in history.

Walz is also contending with possibly the biggest pandemic federal funds fraud scandal in America. And he’s the one who came up with labeling Republicans as “weird.” Leftists love that because they have no sense of humor or self-awareness, so they don’t get why it’s hilarious for a dude in a dress with three nose rings to call a church-going Marine veteran dad “weird.” This should make for a fun debate with J.D. Vance. You can read more about Walz here:

A far better pick would have been Josh Shapiro, the popular moderate Governor of Pennsylvania, a swing state Harris needs. But many in the Democrats’ anti-Semite voting bloc objected to Shapiro’s “views” – I assume that means his religious views, i.e., he’s Jewish. Shapiro has been backpedaling on a paper he wrote as a student 20 years ago on his experiences as an Israeli army volunteer. He had to renounce his youthful assessment of the Palestinians as “too battle-minded” to peacefully coexist with Israel in a peaceful homeland.

Now that the VP job is off the table, maybe he’ll no longer feel the need to deny reality.
