For all of us who knew “the fix was in” on Hillary and the investigation of her mishandling of classified emails and destruction of evidence, the anticipation of Inspector General Michael Horowitz’s report has been like waiting for Godot. (Spoiler alert if you don’t know the play: Godot never arrives.) Now, sources tell Sara A. Carter that our worst fears about this interminable delay may be well-founded, as the report now sits in the hands of the DOJ and FBI.

Now wait just a minute! Aren’t the DOJ and FBI the subjects of this report? Yes, they are. And the report is expected to be scathing. But they get to see it before we do, and no doubt they’ll do whatever they can to lessen its impact: edit, add notes, change wording, redact. Numerous sources tell Carter that everyone mentioned in the report gets to review it before it sees the light of day. The 400-page report (some say 500) is expected to be extremely thorough –- and it better be, considering how long this has taken. Work started almost a year and a half ago.

Although the report has been finished for several weeks, its release has been repeatedly delayed. (Unbelievably, sources told Carter that Horowitz originally delayed releasing it until former FBI Director James Comey’s book tour was over! But I’m thinking that maybe he wanted to find out what Comey was saying in interviews.) It’s not known how long the current review process is going to take. Gosh, it sure will be ironic if the report turns out to criticize the DOJ and FBI for stonewalling, slow-walking and heavily redacting documents, because that’s what they’re probably doing with it RIGHT NOW.

Won’t it be hilarious if it turns out they redacted the part about all the wrongful redacting they do? Of course, somebody would have to get it un-redacted for us to ever know they did that.

Now, who might that person be? Alleged Attorney General Jeff Sessions recused himself from the investigation into Trump’s campaign, but this IG report has nothing to do with that. It’s about the way Hillary’s use of a private server to conduct State Department business was investigated --- or not --- by the DOJ and FBI. We already know that her “investigation” was handled very differently from most, so much so that I often feel compelled when discussing it to put quotation marks around the word “investigation.”

Anyway, there is no excuse for Sessions to retreat from this. He needs to take control of it and shine some light on it or be fired. This report concerns Hillary; it has nothing to do with the investigation of Trump, so if Trump fires Sessions over it, no one can say it’s obstruction. (Well, Chuck Schumer and everybody at MSNBC will call it obstruction, but it won’t be.)

So we wait. In the meantime, Congress is still conducting oversight hearings. Members of the Senate Judiciary Committee are trying to get Andrew McCabe’s testimony, but he reportedly wants immunity first. (Please don’t give him that; subpoena him and make him plead the Fifth if necessary.) And Bill Priestap, head of the FBI’s counterintelligence division and Peter Strzok’s former boss, was reportedly very cooperative during a closed-door hearing with members of the House Judiciary and Oversight committees.

According to a report in The Hill, Priestap was involved in changing the description of Hillary’s handling of classified emails from the potentially criminal “grossly negligent” to “extremely careless.” He also reviewed and edited the comments James Comey made in July 2016 that he would not be recommending criminal charges against Hillary. It’s good that they got him on the record.

So progress is being made on some fronts, But we’ll have to start screaming for some heads if the IG report is allowed to languish in the very departments it threatens to expose.

We have a confession from Hillary, made in public. That should be enough in itself to convict her. http://www.americatalks.com/politics/hillarys-massive-meltdown-if-that-f-ing-bastard-wins-we-all-hang-from-nooses/

I think they will not show us the truth about what really happened. Cause it would expose the deep state. And the government Elites never go to jail. It's all status quo.

Never in the history of mankind have so many headlines been sought and pandered over by so many and the headlines understood by so few. Trump should have reduction if force to the government employees down to grade 12, as John f Kennedy did in 1961. If he does, the lines would diminish, and possibly something about the swamp daring would occur. Trump is stonewalling and slowwalking the process to affect NOV elections, then the s will hit the fan, and with super majorities in both houses, the rats will leave the ship

This truly is utter nonsense. There is no way the report should be anywhere near the DOJ. Any regulations stating otherwise were written by criminals. I don't disagree much with President Trump, but decisive action needs to be taken immediately about the classification of this report. The people in the report are in no way compromised by the report being released unredacted. These people aren't international spies, whose life might be in danger by it's release, they're figure heads in huge bureaucracies. If one word is redacted, they should be charged with obstruction. President Trump should declassify this document now, and obtain copies for himself and congress. There is no way the DOJ should be allowed to change anything, not even punctuation, in this document. Any change at all should be punishable with life in prison without parole. How much more of this obstruction do you think the American people are going to take? I know a lot of very anger people who have said this may be the straw that breaks the camels back. This is the biggest, most complicated, palace coup ever attempted in the history of mankind, and it may take a coup, to end a coup, God forbid.

It is so very sad that our government is so throughly corrupt as withhold any semblance of honesty and decency from its citizens! Nothing causes such grave concern to the fabric of society than dishonesty from its leaders. President Trump flawed as he may be is the shining light that may snuff out the darkness that now runs unabated and unchecked throughout Washington! The only other option is a citizen uprising and total overthrow of this festering stink hole called falsely the US government! Thank you and God bless you for your insights. We shall hold the rope of hope!

Dear Governor ~ IG Horowitz's investigative results into the Hillary email scandal is now being redacted, i.e. corrupted, by the FBI/DOJ. When it finally does see the light of day, who will determine the truth of it? If we now know it was political bias and corruption within the FBI/DOJ that started the phony Russian investigation, it seems to me there is a vicious circle in play here. With Jeff Sessions doing nothing about anything, the truth continues to be acid washed.

Mike, I don't know what to tell you. If you or I were investigated for the crap that these clowns are under investigation for, we'd be in jail by now. Hillary is guilty as sin. Her daughter? Equally guilty of money laundering. The FBI and the DOJ? Corrupt to the 9's. There is no justice here. Judicial Watch sends out daily reports, to my e-mail, on all of this and then asks for money. Yet, for all that's being said, NO ONE has "stones" to go in there and have all the players arrested. The evidence is there. What I think? The "players" are all inter connected. Knock down one domino and the rest will fall. That is the problem. Imagine Huck, almost EVERY SINGLE POLITICAN and HIGH RANKING OFFICAL, (including Jeff Sessions) being found complicit in some form of corruption? It would undermine this government and likely collapse the economy. The stock market would tank overnight. There can be no "justice" Huck. Let's face it. WE have mired ourselves so deep in allowing the scum in Washington to get away with what they've been doing for decades, it is now BEYOND our control to get a handle on it. I no longer say God Bless America. I now say GOD SAVE AMERICA.

That no one has been charged, fired or jailed is insane. They are all going to get away with it and I agree, if Jeff Sessions doesn't do something about this, he definitely needs to be fired. He is a joke in my opinion.

I am so tired of these people breaking the laws and getting by without any accountability!
There is no civility in our Capital! Every day is a new story of how some agencies like the FBI. Were they not created to investigate and put the bad men/ women behind bars? Now, everyone in jail needs to scoot over to make room for all these corrupt politicians, agents, Heads of departments especially Jeff Sessions! It breaks my heart that so many Americans are so disrespectful to my president! When will the madness end?
