Guilty by his own standards

May 2, 2020 |

Joe Biden’s adamant denial of former staffer Tara Reade’s sexual assault allegation may be enough for Democrats who are doing Olympic-level backflips to back away from their previous “believe all women” statements. And the press, naturally, is helping by trying to dig up any discrepancies in Reade’s story and to question her motives, something they never did with Kavanaugh’s accuser, who was declared to be one of the greatest heroines of the year.

But that hasn’t stopped the questions about whether Biden had minions remove papers from archives, or whether he’s trying to hide evidence, or even, according to Greg Gutfeld, whether he made a slip of the tongue that gave away more than he intended.

And of course, the Trump campaign already has an ad ready to point out his hypocrisy…

As I have said consistently for years, whenever such old allegations are made against anyone, be it Kavanaugh, Trump or Biden, the accuser deserves a respectful hearing, but the accused deserves the presumption of innocence and due process to get to the truth. That was sometimes a very lonely position to stake out, although I do suddenly have a lot of Democrats keeping me company.

But let’s put aside the comparisons to Kavanaugh and Trump, because those are just examples of expected media/political bias and hypocrisy. Instead, I’d like to draw your attention to a very interesting article by Andrew Sullivan in New York Magazine. Sullivan is no Trump supporter (indeed, despite what he writes about Biden, he says he’ll still vote for him, just because he’s not Trump.) But he makes a strong case, one that I haven’t seen anyone else bring up, that putting aside Reade’s claim, by his own standards, Joe Biden is guilty of multiple sex crimes, many of which we can watch him commit on videotape.

That's because during the Obama Administration, Biden was instrumental in pushing the revamped guidelines for Title IX sexual discrimination and harassment on college campuses. Those were the draconian (many of us would say sexist and unconstitutional) rules that redefined sex crimes and stripped the accused (usually male students) of their basic rights to self-defense, finding them guilty until proven innocent – except they weren’t allowed to prove themselves innocent, since they couldn’t even see the evidence or question their accusers.

The definition of “sexual violence” was also expanded to include remarks about physical appearance and unwanted touching. How many times have we seen Joe do those very things to women - actions that, as Sullivan notes, would have destroyed the lives of male students under the rules Biden championed?

Fortunately, many of those rules have been rolled back (they had to be; too many colleges were losing expensive lawsuits by former male students.) Democrats naturally assailed the Trump Administration for doing it, accusing him of enabling sexual predators. But as Sullivan makes clear, if they really believe in those standards, then they are backing a Presidential candidate who is plainly guilty of multiple sex crimes under them, even aside from Ms. Reade’s accusation. This is yet another reason why I keep saying that if it weren’t for double standards, some of these people wouldn’t have any standards at all.

There are those who believe that their reward is in this short life, and then there are those who believe that theirs is in the life to come. Those who believe that there is no other life but the here and now, grab all that they can get here and now...power, money, sex, drugs, etc. These folks do not believe in God's love or have a conscience that believes in eternal judgement, have weak or no moral standards, abuse, steal, lie and, in general, act accordingly, They say things like, "nothing personal", "its only business" or, "that's politics". These people generally wear the Democratic moniker. They do things like making false accusations toward their political opponents, murdering 60+ million inconvenient, innocent babies through abortion and making people suffer needlessly by keeping them out of work and/or not allowing them access to perfectly viable drug treatments to a lethal virus killing tens of thousands. For these souls, power, money and the things of this world come before the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. These people are characterised by their deceit, hypocrisy, double standards, lack of compassion and selfishness.

Then, there are those who selflessly love others for no outwardly discernable reason. They believe in things like freedom, right to life, liberty and the right to pursue the happiness of their life's goals and defend other's rights to do so as well. These folks love even their enemies which really roils the former group because they see what's lacking in themselves and want to ratify their own motives while these "do-gooders" are supposedly the hypocrites that they themselves actually are because their own motives blind them to the altruism of others.

Not to slur, denigrate, label or judge anyone specifically in either party, my general impression from my 70+ years show me the difference between those who have hope and those who do not. What many who are Democrats do not understand is that, while their actions are base, shameful, unconscionable and disgusting to any true Christian, ie. many Republicans, we actually pity and pray for them anyway which takes the burden off of our shoulders and gives it to God because we know that this is their only reward if they do not turn from their self-deceit.

I fail to understand why everyone is so upset about just one more example of our double standard of judicial fairness. Justice Kavanaugh is pilloried with ZERO EVIDENCE.Convicted criminals are released from prison while the rest of us are under house arrest. POTUS is impeached on hearsay
with no chance to face his accuser ( also hearsay ). If Tara Reade wants justice I would suggest she file a civil suit. There is a SLIM chance Biden might be forced to surrender the evidence he is terrified of. Or at least she has a solid shot at an out of court settlement. Aside from Tara Reade's allegations, Joe Biden has been known to this day to be a "groper". But I remember when we had a sexual predator in the White House - Bill Clinton. An attempt was made to impeach him for lying or for suborning perjury, but the attempt failed. Meanwhile, Hilary made her husband's accusers' lives miserable. Then, remember the confirmation hearing of Clarence Thomas, when a woman brought forth an allegation of a decades old incident. It was ugly, but who would have thought of what we would see at the confirmation hearing of Brett Kavanaugh? And, yes, there is a disgusting double standard.

Mike I’d like to say that’s it, but we’ve just begun to scratch the surface this blemish that has festered. This goes way deeper than the eye of the “senses man” so we must enlist the help of our Creator to expose the true evil behind their motives. It’s known that there is rampant sexual abuse going on within the political/entertainment media realm; just watch what’s going on, but you have to be awake to catch it because they will throw a distraction in the mix and cause you to doubt what you’re seeing or hearing (doubt, worry and fear the devils disguise) smoke and mirrors, false evidence appearing real, the accuser could it be any more apparent. Spiritual against spiritual!!!

I believe that access to all of the former employee's case documents should be reviewed in regards to Sleepy Joe. If he is guilty then those who covered his actions should also be prosecuted. My concern is his behavior around children. His inappropriate actions with children are blood curdling. I think the news regarding Ms. Reade are a distraction possibly created by his own party to avoid his crimes against children.

Mike, you just have to love the Democrats. They are the gift that keeps on giving. It appears to me that they are so incredibly arrogant that they practically advertise their crimes in front of television cameras. Like Joe Biden on his public confession of the Ukrainian Quid Pro Quo he committed. And he is not prosecuted for that. He has many accusations against him being weird and touchy freely. And now the Dems, LameStream Media are lying as usual and sweeping it under the rug. Folks, we will unlikely ever see any of these criminal crooked Democrats go to jail but the greatest punishment we can put upon them is to re-elect President Trump for 4 more years and win control of both houses of Congress! That to a Democrat is a fate worse than death. We won’t have to prosecute them as they will have received the thing they fear most. Donald J Trump in total control! I just almost go in ecstasy imagining that. I just get all warm and fuzzy thinking of the torment that would cause them. And I have such love those clowns!

Pretty clear to us immediately that Biden’s “minions” searched the papers in Delaware and removed any personnel records they could quickly without being too obvious. Should have checked their pockets and briefcases before they escaped. I wonder if a careful review of whatever they left behind might give a reference to something, anything even unrelated, in a document that now does not exist proving that documents were removed. Be interesting to know, but as with the Clintons we know those documents will never see the light of day.

There is a SLIM chance Biden might be forced to surrender the evidence he is terrified of. Or at least she has a solid shot at an out of court settlement. JUST DON'T NEGLECT TO ADD DEFAMATION CHARGES TO THE SEXUAL ASSAULT CHARGES.

I may have missed it, but has anyone pointed out that Trump's transgressions came before he was ever in politics; still bad but to me not quite as bad as an elected politician who is paid by the people. And that line from the event: I was told u liked me....sounds sooo like creepy Joe.

Does anyone with half a brain really believes Joe Biden? I really don’t think so!

Governor Huckabee, whenever "The Left" is slow to respond "on any accusation", this precious time that passes reminds me of cats in a litter box. You can always bet Democrats are all covering up crap! Why people don't weigh -in on these guilty accused, before papers magically disappear, cellphones are beat with hammers, and hard drives are bleach-pitted, is beyond my comprehension!

Personally I feel the guidelines of sexual harassment are way too broad (and I'm a woman) -- so a boss or fellow worker admire your dress? Well, that's nice. people need encouragement - i might say the same about a man's tie or his shirt or hair.
The double standard however, in Biden's case, is way too strong to dispute. and I do not believe in "guilty until proven innocent"

GOP has standards. Dems have double standards. Without double standards, Dems would have no standards at all.
