    A priceless public service

Our gratitude to the editors of for providing a priceless public service to Supreme Court nominees, liberal media members and others who don't have advanced degrees in biology by providing a clear definition of what a "woman" is. You might want to bookmark this for future reference in case you forget:

    Breaking news:  Clarence Thomas Update

It was reported Friday morning that Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas has been discharged from the hospital after being treated for a non-COVID infection. Our continued prayers and good wishes for him to make a full and speedy recovery.

    Trudeau update

Like President Biden’s advisers, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau probably hopes that the timing of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine distracted the public from his own catastrophic leadership and created a “rally-‘round” effect. But just as Biden’s approval ratings continue to circle the drain…

Trudeau’s attempts to make people forget the unconscionable, dictatorial way he crushed the peaceful truckers protest are crashing like an 18-wheeler on an icy hairpin curve. Trudeau went to Brussels, where he made a speech to the European Parliament, piously condemning Putin for attacking “the values that form the pillars of all democracies,” and adding, “We have a responsibility to make the case to people about why these values matter so much — not just to Ukrainians but to us all.”

That was too much for some of the Eastern European members who have hard experience with dictators to stomach. Croatian MEP Mislav Kolakusic followed Trudeau and blasted him straight to his face:

“Unfortunately, today, there are those among us who trample on these fundamental values…Canada, once a symbol of the modern world, has become a symbol of civil rights violations under your quasi-liberal boot in recent months. We watched how you trample women with horses, how you block the bank accounts of single parents so that they can’t even pay their children’s education and medicine, that they can’t pay utilities, mortgages for their homes.”

Romanian MEP Cristian Terhes refused even to attend Trudeau’s speech but issued a statement ripping him to shreds. He wrote in part:

“You can’t come and teach democracy lessons to Putin from the European Parliament when you trample with horse hooves your own citizens who are demanding that their fundamental rights be respected.” He called Trudeau a tyrant and a dictator, “like Ceau?escu in Romania” and “no better than Putin.” He declared, “Between the Russian imperialist tyranny, promoted by Putin, and the neo-Marxist tyranny pretending to be progressivism promoted by the likes of Trudeau, in which people are deprived of their rights and freedoms, becoming objects of the state, I do not choose any.”

So, memo to Canadians: I hope you haven’t forgotten what Trudeau and his supporters did, because the rest of the world hasn’t. Particularly not those who know a dictator and enemy of the people’s fundamental rights when they see one.

McConnell weighs in on Ketanji Brown Jackson

Biden SCOTUS nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson is virtually certain to be narrowly confirmed, but it won’t be with the support of Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell. McConnell said he went into the hearings with an open mind, but after hearing Jackson’s response to questions and studying her soft-on-crime record, he cannot support giving her a lifetime seat on the Supreme Court.

Meanwhile, according to the hair-on-fire liberal media talking heads, when Republicans question Judge Jackson about her judicial philosophy and her own court rulings, they’re exhibiting “deeply offensive” racism, sexism and transphobia; promoting QAnon conspiracy theories; publicly “flogging” a black woman; exhibiting “McCarthyism at its worst;” and even committing a “hate crime.”

Wow, if they’re that overly sensitive to the questions aimed at SCOTUS nominees, I guess it’s a good thing they slept through the Kavanaugh and Barrett confirmation hearings!

Oh, wait, I take it back: the Washington Post claims to have watched the Kavanaugh hearings because they say Republicans are treating Jackson worse than Democrats treated Kavanaugh. No, on second thought, never mind. They obviously didn’t watch the Kavanaugh hearings…

More Free Money from the Democrats

Democrats in Congress, and in some blue states like California, are hoping to mitigate the anger among voters over skyrocketing gasoline prices by sending people free government money to help fill their tanks. In a scheme inspired by the COVID relief payment program (you remember, the one that resulted in $1.8 billion worth of fraud…)

Democrats in Congress are pushing a bill to send $100 a month to every American to help pay for high priced gasoline (with today's prices, that's about one SUV fill-up)…

Meanwhile, California Gov. Gavin Newsom wants to send out “free” debit cards worth up to $800 to every driver (including those with electric cars, for some reason), and people who take the bus and other mass transit.

This free money would be paid for by such typical Democrat sleight of hand as taxing energy companies, which in no way would result in even higher future gas prices that would offset the money they’re sending out to pay for the current high gas prices.

Or there’s a much simpler solution to bring down gas prices: replace these people with Republicans who will let the American oil and gas industry produce oil and gas again.

Mike, I would be thrilled to pay for your newsletter, but at the age of 78, with Social Security income of less than $1000 per month, I have to watch every penny. Please consider that 23 years ago the doctor gave me a maximum of 5 years to live, so that 5 years could be here any moment. In the meantime, my choice must remain as it is now. I love your newsletters morning and evening, as well as the weekend TV broadcasts. THANK YOU for all you do.

So, I haven’t been watching the confirmation hearings, Burbank did anyone ask her if she thought she was a woman? And if she said yes, the next question would be, how does she know she is a woman...... just asking

I amazed at the knuckle dragging Morlocks showing how ignorant and cannibalistic they really are
I suggest sending them back to first grade with a head schoolmaster like in the old day. He will patrol the holes with his " Board of Education" The teacher will use her ruler to smack the hands when. They get "naughty" and a bag of charcoal!

Since Easter is soon to come, maybe explaining to those who are against Christian beliefs, and faith-based religion, we should remind them that crucifixion of Jesus is the same as putting to death an innocent person by death penalty methods. We know the Democrats are against the death penalty, even for those who ARE INDEED guilty of heinous crimes, maybe comparing the death of Jesus, an innocent person by a death penalty used in those days which was crucifixion, just because he was a different idealist than they were, may make them rethink why believing in Jesus Christ is a big deal for Christians. Or shooting an innocent person to death by another human, is also the same kind of heinous crime the Crucifixion of Jesus was. Or was a Hate Crime that they, the Democrats continue to do against Conservatives and Christians and any one who is in opposition of their ideals.

Did anyone on the Senate Judicial Committee think to ask Ketanji Brown Jackson this question: Can you describe in your own words why the U.S. Constitution is the best document is the whole entire world? And how are you planning to defend each freedom for the citizens of the United States? I suspect her answer would be, "I can't answer that". How sad.

Thank you, Mike Huckabee. God bless you. I can only imagine how very frustrating it must be for you to watch Americans be taken to the cleaners and lied to like Joey is doing these days. The dems (marxists/socialists/communists) will truly "break the bank" of the United States pretty soon and we will be just like Turkey of a few years ago. Somebody wants us to become morally and financially totally bankrupt. I guess they want it urgently, too. We love you and ask for God's protection and blessings over you & yours.

McConnell will step down as Senate Republican Leader in November

Mitch McConnell announced Wednesday that he will step down as Senate Republican Leader in November. He is the longest-serving party leader in US history. He did not say if this has anything to do with the criticism he’s received from conservatives or with his recent health issues that caused him to freeze up in mid-sentence a time or two. But while he will no longer be the GOP leader, he intends to continue serving in the Senate at least through the end of his current term in January 2027.

And here’s a surprise: Robert Kennedy Jr. suggested that McConnell be replaced by Sen. Rand Paul. RFK Jr. tweeted, “It’s time to promote leaders in Washington, DC, who won’t kowtow to the military contractors or push us deeper into foreign conflicts. We need representation who will prioritize American wellness over all else. I believe Rand Paul would be an incredible successor. He’s shown great judgment and has the grit to put hardworking Americans first.”

    Get Out

Law Professor William A. Jacobson of the Legal Insurrection blog has been watching the politicized lawfare against Trump and conservative businesses and organizations in New York, and the unprofessional threats and ugly gloating by Attorney General Letitia James about how she’s going to destroy Trump. He analyzed the situation in light of assurances by Gov. Hochul that if your business isn’t doing anything wrong, you have nothing to fear. And he arrived at this conclusion:

“Get out of New York, if you can.” And if you can’t leave now, “Develop an exit plan before you need it.

    Pray for the Panhandle

Please join me in prayers today for those in the path of the huge wildfires in the Texas Panhandle and neighboring Oklahoma. There are five wildfires that are causing school closures and evacuations, including the evacuation of a nuclear power plant. The largest of them, the Smokehouse Creek Fire, covers 800 square miles and is now the second-largest wildfire in state history.

This is a link to live updates on the fires from the Weather Channel.

    No test?!?

The White House announced Wednesday that President Biden is making an unannounced trip to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center for his yearly physical exam…which will NOT include a cognitive test. Press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre dismissed questions about a cognitive test, saying Biden proves his cognitive abilities "every day [in] how he operates and how he thinks."  I’m confused, is that an argument for or against a cognitive test?

    Talk about a delicious irony

One of the strongest arguments for overturning the ruinously large fine on Trump in his New York real estate fraud case is the Eighth Amendment protection against excessive fines. The Supreme Court ruled 9-0 in 2019 that that protection does apply to state courts. And one of the strongest arguments for Trump to cite came from liberal icon Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who said:

“The prohibition embodied in the Excessive Fines Clause carries forward protections found in sources from Magna Carta to the English Bill of Rights to state constitutions from the colonial era to the present day. Protection against excessive fines has been a constant shield throughout Anglo-American history for good reason: Such fines undermine other liberties. They can be used, e.g., to retaliate against or chill the speech of political enemies.”

I might not have agreed with many of her rulings, but judging from this, there’s no doubt she was psychic.

    Public Service Announcement

Public service announcement to anyone thinking of donating to Harvard or sending their kids there: The co-chair of Harvard’s anti-Semitism task force resigned Monday because she has no confidence that Harvard will implement any of the task force’s recommendations to stop Jew hatred on campus.

Related: Stephen Kruiser at PJ Media has a news round-up illustrating how bedbug crazy these pro-Palestine dingbats are and how they “have more vocal cords than brains,” from calling Jerry Seinfeld a “genocide supporter” to literally setting themselves on fire.

Private School For Me, But Not For Thee

Two Democrat Governors, Roy Cooper (North Carolina) and Andy Beshear (Kentucky), co-wrote an op-ed for USA Today condemning Republican attempts to give low-income parents vouchers to send their kids to the schools of their choice. They painted this as a racist conspiracy to loot the budgets of our precious public school system and set our schools back for a generation (as if the COVID lockdowns and the focus on woke politics and LGBTQ activism hadn't already set public school students back a generation.)

One problem: Both Democrat Governors send their own kids to elite private schools. But that’s okay because, hey, they can afford it.

    The Best People

President Trump was roundly condemned as a racist and a xenophobe for saying of illegal immigration that other countries were not sending us their best people. So just to clarify, here’s an example of one of those best people that Joe Biden let in.
