The Biden inauguration

By Mike Huckabee

Extraordinary security measures are being taken for the Biden Inauguration next week.

Democrats want to insure that there is no violence, rioting, looting, arson or attacks on police, like the ones they defended, ignored and excused for a large part of 2020. They also are horrified at the idea that anyone would violently oppose a fair and legal election and the peaceful transition of power, like the violence and vandalism that their side committed in DC in 2017 when Trump was inaugurated.

But while I enjoy pointing out their rank hypocrisy and their standards that get changed more often than a baby’s diaper (imagine the howls if any Republican openly threatened Biden and his staff the way Rep. Maxine Waters repeatedly threatened and incited confrontations against Trump and his staff), the concern about the Inauguration security must be taken seriously. In a way, I’m glad that Democrats have finally decided that rioting and violence to achieve political goals is wrong. If they’d just agree with us that it’s wrong no matter what the political goals are, then we’d finally have some of that unity they promised.

Anyone who travels to DC or any state capital with the intention of protesting the Inauguration through violent means should be intercepted and prosecuted to the full extent of the law. And to the tens of millions of Trump supporters who are still upset over the election, I suggest taking pundit Roger Simon’s advice: show your lack of support by simply ignoring it. Do something fun with your family, go fishing, read a book or contact your local GOP headquarters to ask how you can get a jump start on helping to win back Congress in 2022. And let the TV ratings for the Inaugural and all the liberal media outlets that will be salivating over it tank like a “woke” “Star Wars” sequel.

In fact, turning off all media that insult and attack you and seeing their ratings and profits plummet might be a good message to send to Twitter, Hollywood and all businesses that are banning conservatives: if you try to cancel us, we will cancel YOU. Personally, I can get along without all those virtue-signaling “woke” movies, TV shows, businesses and social media outlets a lot easier than they can survive losing 75 million customers. In just a few days, Facebook and Twitter lost a combined $51 billion in value in the stock market. If they want to run their businesses solely to please a handful of loudmouthed, underemployed keyboard warriors with too much student loan debt and too little real education, let them find out what a bad business model they’ve chosen.

.

More censorship is coming

By Mike Huckabee

Did you really think that Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey was going to stop his censorship of conservatives with just removing Trump? As we’ve said for a long time, if they can “cancel” the President of the United States, they can do it to anybody. And judging by a video clip leaked to Project Veritas by an alleged Twitter whistleblower, that’s exactly what Dorsey is planning to do.

Remind me again: why is this guy immune from lawsuits?

The "Good Folks"

By Mike Huckabee

A few updates on what Joe Biden calls the “good folks” who run the government of China…

The Justice Department announced that a senior NASA scientist pleaded guilty to lying about his ties to a Chinese-backed program designed to harvest talents from the West and transfer intellectual property to China. He was also charged with making false statements and if convicted, could face up to five years in prison and $250,000 in fines.

Thursday, an MIT professor was arrested and charged with several counts related to failing to report to the US Department of Energy his contracts, appointments and awards from various entities in the People’s Republic of China.

As part of the escalating crackdown on freedom in China, an Internet service provider in Hong Kong has blocked access to a pro-democracy website. This was done under the auspices of China’s new “National Security Law.” (Sounds like Twitter, Apple, Google and Facebook have learned from the masters).

Last but not least (and this is hardly news,) the communist government of China is reportedly overjoyed that Joe Biden is about to become the US President, seeing his takeover from Trump as a “new window of hope” that will “restore normalcy.” I shudder to think how they define “normalcy.” You could ask a Hong Kong democracy protester, but good luck communicating with one.

Left-wing Activist Charged, As We Learn More About The Riot

By Mike Huckabee

The media and political narrative about the outrageous violence inside the Capitol last week has quickly solidified into the simplistic but politically expedient “Trump incited a riot, and now we have to clamp down on all his supporters who are dangerous insurrectionists!” You don’t need to excuse the inexcusable to also believe that Trump’s words, although ill-chosen, didn’t incite it, or that 99.99% of his supporters had nothing to do with it and would never condone it.

The rush to paint the deadly assault on the Capitol in politically-motivated broad strokes has obscured efforts to learn precisely what happened, who was responsible and why. I hope we’ll learn more as more participants are identified and arrests made. And that doesn’t mean that anyone on the right should try to claim this was a false flag operation by Antifa people in disguise; there’s no question that most of the people involved were from the far right. But we do need to know if there were any people there to incite violence from either side. Was it planned in advance, and if so, how? How many of the people came with the intention of attacking and how many just followed along, not understanding what they were getting into? These and many more questions remain to be answered.

As a good start to that process, read this article in The Federalist by someone who was on the scene when it happened and who just happens to have a unique background that trained him in what to look for. J. Michael Waller is senior analyst for strategy at the Center for Security Policy, an expert in propaganda, political warfare, psychological warfare, and subversion who was trained in riot tactics by professional agitators and has been present at scores of protests since the 1970s.

You will find his first-hand observations of what he saw among the protesters both enlightening and chilling. It’s obvious that he doesn’t believe this was a spontaneous protest that spiraled out of control. And if you’ve been listening to the media hysteria and the political demonization of all Trump supporters, you may be surprised to hear that the vast majority of people there to hear Trump were peaceful, happy, unaware of the violence, and included parents with kids, grandparents, off-duty cops and people of all races.

In a related story, the BLM activist who claims he was only at the Capitol to “document” the violence has been arrested for his alleged participation. The federal complaint says he can be heard egging on the protesters by saying such things as "We got to get this (bleep) burned," in video he posted himself to Facebook and Twitter. Smart, he ain’t.

A little something to act on. We just removed our credit card information from Amazon. By doing this Amazon cannot automatically renew their Amazon Prime. (I believe Amazon Prime is now $120 per year.) I've been told, but I have no way of verifying it, that Amazon Prime alone yields over 1 billion dollars a year to the company. It's not just enough to stop shopping at Amazon, you must also address the automatic renewals.
What other acts of civil disobedience can you pass along?

Gov Huckabee: Thanks for your continued work to keep us all informed. Next I have a question: How do we now define the boundaries between the far left, the left, middle of the road, the right and the far right? In reading the far left opinions that are out there, I'm starting to wonder where they would put someone who simply believes in the original Constitution and Bill of Rights (as drafted and ratified). I suspect that they would view such a person as extreme far, far right. Am I exaggerating? Fifty years ago, such a person was clearly "middle of the road." Are we losing our minds in this country?

Thanks for the suggest about Wednesday, January 20. I advised my husband that we need to leave our home and travel somewhere without TV coverage for the day. We have enough other shows recorded on our DVR that we won't feel deprived if we don't see anything broadcast on that day.

Good evening! Today's Evening Edition includes:

    • The Biden inauguration
    • More censorship is coming
    • The "Good Folks"
    • Left-wing Activist Charged, As We Learn More About The Riot

    Sincerely,
