Just for fun, 12 questions for Bruce Ohr

August 28, 2018 |

On Tuesday, Bruce Ohr is scheduled to appear behind closed doors to testify before the House Judiciary Committee as well as the House Government Reform and Oversight Committee.  Darrell Issa and the other committee members have no doubt been working day and night to comb through masses of testimony from others and the email communications between Ohr and British ex-spy Christopher Steele and have lots of questions to ask, but I have a few more that I hope they’ll ask, just for fun:

1.  Just wondering, do you ever see Attorney General Jeff Sessions around the office, or does he just stay home in his pajamas and watch Spongebob Squarepants?

2.  Given that you apparently believe Trump was in league with Russia, wouldn’t it have made more sense to you for your wife Nellie Ohr, an expert on Russia who speaks fluent Russian, to be working for a company helping Trump instead of Hillary Clinton?

3. How do you explain Hillary getting a pass for destroying subpoenaed evidence?  Oh, you weren’t aware that she did that?  No one at work ever talked about it?

4.  Nellie’s boss, Glenn Simpson of Fusion GPS, had dinner with Natalia Veselnitskaya both before and after the Trump Tower meeting.  Please enlighten us:  Did he need Nellie’s help to learn how to pronounce “Veselnitskaya”?

5.  You and Nellie have managed to keep a very low profile compared with Peter Strzok and Lisa Page at the FBI.  Do you think it’s because old married people don’t text each other nearly as often as workplace lovers do?

6.  Just about everyone you worked with at the DOJ and FBI has been fired or has resigned –- including deputy Attorney General Sally Yates, FBI Director Jim Comey,  deputy FBI director Andy McCabe, FBI head of  counterintelligence Peter Strzok and legal assistant Lisa Page  –- and you’ve been demoted and now work in another department.  Steele is out of the country.  Question:  Don’t you get lonely?

7.  When FBI Director Comey was fired, Christopher Steele wrote you to express concern about the “important firewalls” holding.  Does the DOJ need more in their budget for a new sprinkler system?

8.  You’ve had over 70 communications with Christopher Steele, who had contracted with your wife’s employer to put together an outrageous “dossier” on Trump but was then fired.  Why so many times?  Was it because you’re endlessly fascinated and entertained by Steele’s talent for making things up?

9.  As the story goes, deputy AG Rod Rosenstein was unaware of your ties to Fusion GPS.  Did you just not tell him about that, or was Rosenstein too busy expanding the Mueller probe to listen to you?

10.  You knew that Steele’s “dossier” was being funded by the Clinton campaign and the DNC.  Considering they paid Fusion GPS a generous $1.4 million, do you think your wife was paid enough?

11.  From your notes, you and Steele were obviously trying to pass information along to “SC.”  What does “SC” stand for?  We assume “special counsel.”  But did it also mean Adam Schiff, the “shifty Congressman”?

12.  When you and Steele (and perhaps others such as ex-CIA chief John Brennan) got together socially, what was your favorite topic of conversation?  Whether Trump should just be impeached or have his Presidency annulled?  Which did you decide?

13.  (extra credit)  When you walk into the DOJ headquarters every morning and see Lady Justice in her blindfold, do you find it difficult to keep from laughing out loud?

I’d be curious to hear if any of those thought provoking questions were even asked when he appears to testify, under oath!

How soon will Hillary be investigated?

Perfect. Nothing cuts to the truth like sarcasm and humor. You nailed the very sad situation and made me laugh at the same time.

Thank you, Mr. Huckabee. I haven’t laughed that hard since reading my first Stephanie Plum mystery!
