Wonder how many billions of dollars’ worth of ads Mike Bloomberg will have to run to try to make Democratic voters forget that he said this about crime, guns and minorities back in the distant, pre-woke era of 2015?

https://townhall.com/tipsheet/leahbarkoukis/2020/02/11/bloomberg-stop-and-frisk-n2561122

---------------------

It might be too early yet to write Joe Biden’s political obituary, but Stephen Green at PJ Media is working on a first draft, and he offers some pretty compelling reasons why.

https://pjmedia.com/vodkapundit/biden-2020-a-pre-post-mortem/

---------------------------

To me, this is why the entire premise of the Democrats’ Ukraine “quid pro quo” claim was ridiculous: it was based on Trump assuming Joe Biden would be his Democratic rival for President, and as he’s said before, he never thought Biden would be the nominee. For decades now, Joe Biden has been painted by the media as a Presidential frontrunner, right up until the time people actually start voting, and then it all falls apart.

https://www.westernjournal.com/biden-meltdown-continues-former-favorite-sinks-way-5th-nh-poll/

------------------------------

Also, a hat-tip to Instapundit for finding this example of Biden’s political tone-deafness, this time on the subject of gun control. Bonus: includes a great meme on Mike Bloomberg’s arrogant disregard for Second Amendment rights.

https://pjmedia.com/instapundit/357849

---------------------------

And speaking of New Hampshire’s motto (“Live Free or Die”), the Babylon Bee has a hilarious observation about that.

https://babylonbee.com/news/bernie-sanders-confused-by-new-hampshire-state-motto-live-free-or-die--both-of-those-options-sound-horrible

Must-See Video: Rob First destroys AOC’s assault on the idea of individuals “pulling themselves up by their own bootstraps” without lots of big government assistance.

https://twitter.com/TheFirstonTV/status/1225544849451077632

Speaking of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the “degreed economist” recently tried to make a point about the failures of capitalism and income inequality by quoting “famed economist Milton Keynes.” Problem: there is a Milton Friedman and a John Maynard Keynes, but the only “Milton Keynes” is a town in Great Britain (I eagerly await her comments about the socialist theories of famed economist, Dixville Notch.)

After being razzed online, AOC assailed her critics for focusing on a “typo” and ignoring her important point about the failures of capitalism. Okay, since she brought it up: “Typo” aside, here’s why the economic point she was trying to make was also incorrect: what capitalism has actually done in this case is free women from much of the drudgery of housework through automation.

https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/opinion/aocs-instagram-blooper-citing-fake-economist-milton-keynes-actually-stumbles-on-a-grain-of-truth

-------------------------------

TV ratings for Sunday’s Oscarcast plummeted 20% from last year (nearly 6 million viewers!) to break the previous record low viewership set in 2018. Which is really too bad: think of all the Americans who didn’t get to learn about the blatant injustice of their speciesism in stealing milk from cows to put on their cereal. To quote Homer Simpson: "Celebrities! Is there anything they DON'T know?"

https://www.westernjournal.com/politics-infested-oscars-hit-time-ratings-low-will-hollywood-finally-wake/

Meanwhile, liberal media critics continue to be baffled by why Americans no longer watch awards shows. But it’s no surprise to Golden Globes host Ricky Gervais, who says he did try to warn them that everyday, hard-working people don’t like being lectured by privileged celebrities.

https://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/ricky-gervais-oscars-2020-politics

------------------------------

You Make the Call: An Atlanta firefighter made a split-second decision to enter a burning home alone and risk his life to pull a 95-year-old woman out (sadly, she could not be revived.) He’s now been docked two days’ pay and suspended for four days for violating “safety and order” protocols. So what do you think: rogue rule-breaker or hero?

https://www.foxnews.com/us/firefighter-faces-suspension-for-decision-to-save-elderly-woman-from-burning-building

--------------------------------------------

Here’s a good lesson in how the media push a preferred narrative by leaving out context. Last week, the Washington Post ran a story quoting Human Rights Watch, headlined, “At least 138 Salvadorans deported by the U.S. were killed in El Salvador: Rights group.” The thrust of the story is that the US has blood on its hands and should have known not to deport these people back to their dangerous home nation, and the situation “will only worsen under Trump.”

https://www.westernjournal.com/lib-org-admits-obama-sent-deportees-deaths-blasts-trump-instead/

And now, the context they didn’t highlight: of those 138 deportees, 109 were deported under the Obama Administration. Most who were murdered were killed by gangs, particularly MS-13. As the story notes, since gangs mostly target other gang members, it raises the question of why those deportees were killed by gangs, and how safe it would have been to leave them here in America.

As Paul Harvey used to say, “Now you know…the rest of the story!”

------------------------------

Great Cartoon! If you didn’t catch Sunday’s “Pearls Before Swine,” it’s a must-see! Appropriate that it ran on the same day as the record-low-viewership, ultra-“woke” Oscars.

https://www.gocomics.com/pearlsbeforeswine/2020/02/09

---------------------------------

Chuck Schumer is fuming over President Trump daring to fire people who deliberately undermine his policies (“as if he were President!”…add those five words to every specious Democrat charge against Trump and it sort of makes sense.) But with “impeachment” and three years of bogus partisan investigations finally behind him, Trump is moving quickly and at long last to clean house. Last week, the Vindman twins were escorted to the door, EU Ambassador Sondland was recalled, and another 70 Obama holdovers at the NSC were just given the boot.

https://www.westernjournal.com/trump-jr-thanks-schiff-explains-impeachment-now-helping-trump-clean-house/

Now, I am extremely pleased to share the news that “Anonymous” has reportedly been identified. That’s the alleged White House staffer who wrote smug, anonymous op-eds in the New York Times (and even signed a book deal), claiming to be part of “the resistance inside the Trump Administration” working to undermine him from within – for the good of the nation, of course. These unelected egomaniacs always assume their agenda is far superior to the agenda the foolish voters elected Trump to enact. The Times and other liberal outlets seemed to think this cowardly weasel was some sort of hero for taking a paycheck from a man whom they were secretly stabbing in the back. Not my definition of a hero.

https://townhall.com/tipsheet/juliorosas/2020/02/10/joe-digenova-wh-official-who-penned-anonymous-nyt-oped-has-been-idd-and-will-be-fired-n2561060

The White House has made no official comment, but former U.S. attorney Joe diGenova claims that a senior official told him that the White House has identified and will soon be “parting ways” with the Deep State mole/saboteur. I hope that “parting ways” is a polite euphemism for “kicking out the door with a pointy-toed boot, to be followed swiftly by whatever federal legal action can be hurled at him.”

Bloomberg will be the Democratic nominee. Period. Deal with it.
I wish you would please do so, as he represents potential disaster for the USA.

Mike, we have long abandoned cable TV, dish or direct TV. Opting instead for streaming programming. We get our news across the wire on the internet, and then follow up with websites like yours, lifesite, conservative Tribune, and Breitbart.

However Breitbart has strangely sought to protect and defend then censor any negative comments about Joy Behar from the view, or George Soros.

As an experiment I would suggest that your readers and staff go to their site and simply post in the comments section, the name of George Soros and you will see their censors fast and furiously give the dreaded (hold on here) message.

It's my understanding that the Vindman twins were transferred from the National Security Council to the Pentagon, not fired. The Houston Chronicle published two letters today, allegedly from GOP voters, taking Trump to task for "firing" them simply for telling the truth when subpoened. Apparently these folk don't have a clue that Obama fired all of the Bush office holders, and Trump was being generous not to immediately do the same. Aside from that, Vindman is suspected of having connections with the whistleblower, and his brother suspected of leaking that NY Times excerpt from Bolton's book during the Senate Trial. As far as Ambassador Sondland goes, that ego-maniac doesn't deserve to be ambassador to outer Mongolia.

Envy is the root motivator in my view....Trump has succeeded in every dimension that Romney failed...And it is so sad....I expect that after the 2020 election when the GOP regains the House and increases its membership in the Senate [remember all those Senators who voted to throw out the President who are up for reelection], that Romney will quietly limp back home.

As for the firefighter...a hero in my book! If I was a family member of the deceased woman, I definitely would prefer to be able to view her body at the funeral instead of having a burned corpse beyond recognition. Having her rescued from the fire would have been a relief for me, even though she passed away. I could cope with her dying from smoke inhalation far better than having to live with the thoughts of her burning to death! Kudos to the hero!!! (A prime example of his "bosses" being so caught up in the tasks that they missed the people.)

The cartoon...so true. Loved the comment below it about turning Archie Bunker loose on that big blue meathead. I have grown very weary of all the hyphenated-American terms spoken in the USA. For those of us who are legitimate citizens, we are simply Americans. Period. The hyphenated-American terminology is the worst instigator of racism. Think about it. Most of us with any common sense can easily determine a person's country of origin. Duh! Let's get back to being Americans and, most of all, civilized human beings. To change this nation from the inside out, we all need to be respectful and become respectable. Enough said!

    Gov. Huckabee,
At what point did a new President not have the right to remove political appointees and downsize the team or develop his own trusted workforce. These political appointees are nothing but leaches that will hang on and drain the blood from anyone that threatens their position of power existence and inflated egos. People in government when given the chance will build fiefdoms and try and grow their positions to make themselves more important than they really are or should be. When threatened with the concept of draining the "Swamp" they will fight with every underhanded tactic they have learned while moving their way up the ladder of self gratifying DC swamp dweller.

I am a big Pres Trump supporter. However something has come to my attention that i hope is not true. There has been an American Indian burial site found at a olcation where a section of border wall is being built and i have heard that our President is telling the contractors to ignore the Indian Nations right to investigate and to plow through what could be an archeological site. Please tell me this isnt true. And if it is please Govenor change his mind. We have stolen enough from that culture and we dont need to give that peoples a reason to join the Trump derangement syndome mentality

Your comment about AOC not knowing an Economist from a town is pitiful, but the really spooky part is that people actually voted for her, which tells me that some people are even less aware of things than AOC. And those same people are very likely to vote for her ilk, again and again.

Do you have any idea how much this impeachment hoax cost the American taxpayers? The last hoax of an investigation cost us 32 million dollars for the Muller (sp) report that said there was no Russian voter fraud by President Trump. Why is it that America's taxpayers have to keep picking up the tab for these crazy ideas the Democrats come up with? Can't somebody stop shifty Schiff, Crazy Nancy and Bumbler Nadler somehow besides waiting until November and hopefully all three will be gone?

Evening Edition - February 11

February 11, 2020 |

Whatever he said in 2015, or whenever, will not harm him.
He has a skilled ad guy and can quite afford him.
Serious Dems (i.e., Obama) will not let the current run of idiots take over the party. They are just a distraction from Mr. B.
    Trump gotta beat Bloomberg.

    My question is simply, why???

On Mitt Romney: Proverbs "...Wrath is cruel, anger is outrageous but who can stand against envy."

RE: Bloomberg. He was quoted as saying that he would spend a billion dollars, if necessary, to win the election. I was not aware that the office of the president of the USA was for sale. Why not just put if up for bids on e-bay?
