MATTIS LUNACY

You might have heard about that statement released by former Defense Secretary Gen. James Mattis, accusing President Trump of making a “mockery” of the Constitution, of being the first President in his lifetime who tries to divide the people (say, didn’t he work under Obama?) and of threatening a military assault against peaceful protesters who are simply seeking justice. He adds, almost as an aside, that “we must not be distracted by a small number of lawbreakers.”

Actually, Trump has made it crystal clear that he agrees with the prosecution of the officers responsible for the death of George Floyd (he put the FBI on the case), and he supports the First Amendment rights of peaceful protesters. That alleged “small number of lawbreakers” are hardly a footnote, they’re the entire problem. The threat to use the military was made because they are wreaking havoc on our cities by burning, looting and rioting. If this were simply a peaceful protest, or if the mayors and Governors of those areas weren’t proving incapable of or unwilling to stop the violence, there would be no need for threat of federal intervention. And far from being unprecedented and unconstitutional, Trump’s threat is perfectly legal under the Insurrection Act, which has been invoked over a dozen times by previous Presidents, most recently to end the Rodney King riots in Los Angeles.

So in short, Mattis’ claims are divorced from reality and make no sense. Trump is threatening to use a power used by other Presidents before him to end violence and rioting, not to launch a D-Day type assault on peaceful protesters. As RedState.com puts it succinctly, Gen. Mattis’ statement, with all due respect, is “just nuts.”

But click the link to read more because they go into some much-needed background details that might help explain why he released it. They also note that if Mattis is so opposed to dividing the American people, then why did he say nothing about the incredibly divisive Russian collusion hoax for three years, even though he had knowledge about Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn that could have stopped it before it got started.

VIOLENT PROTESTS CONTINUE

The violent protests continue to rage. In Brooklyn, some cops were on anti-riot patrol when a man casually walked up to them, pulled out a knife and stabbed one officer in the neck. Fortunately, he missed the artery and the officer will survive. The assailant was shot multiple times after shooting two other officers in the hand, reportedly with a gun he grabbed off a cop.

One unusual twist is that the violence and protests have actually united all sides in one area of agreement: that New York City Mayor Bill DeBlasio should resign immediately. Black Lives Matter demanded he resign for defending the police after a police van that was surrounded and under attack drove through the crowd, while more conservative voices want him to resign for his failure to control the violence and lawlessness, coming on the heels of his coronavirus policies. A petition to impeach him that’s been around for 10 months just gained 25,000 signatures overnight.

The most shocking thing to me is that it took this long. DeBlasio inherited a revitalized city from Rudy Giuliani and Mike Bloomberg and promptly started taking right back into the blight it suffered under his mentor, David Dinkins. His campaign should sell blue caps reading “MIBA: “Make It Blighted Again.” He’s living proof of the power of the Democratic Party machine to scare away challengers, and that Nancy Pelosi was right when she said that in some places, a glass of water could get elected if it had a (D) after its name. At 6-foot-4, he’s a tall drink of water, so he fits that description perfectly.

Finally, it’s possible the name Manuel “Manny” Ellis may become the next George Floyd. This has been under the radar because there was no viral video and it's not clear what actually happened. But it’s not likely to stay out of the news for long. This is the kind of case I was writing about, with ambiguous evidence that calls for calm, deliberate investigation and the public reserving judgement until all the facts are in, if such things are still possible. Let’s all pray it doesn’t pour more gasoline on the fire.

FAR-LEFT TACTIC

I’ve written before about the tactic of far-left groups, many backed by George Soros, to target low-turnout primary elections in one-party areas where people don’t vote because they assume the incumbent is safe or it just doesn’t matter. This is how they get far-leftists like AOC elected. They’ve particularly focused on D.A. races, since voters pay little attention to those. Getting a far-left D.A. into office helps to achieve their idea of “justice reform” by simply refusing to prosecute criminals. For instance, declaring that the poor need things, so they shouldn’t be prosecuted for shoplifting less than, say, $500 worth of merchandise a day. Or that they don’t have cash for bail, so they should be let out on their own recognizance, to commit another crime, get arrested, get released, lather-rinse-repeat ad infinitum.

And now, it’s been reported that Saint Louis Circuit Attorney Kimberly Gardner (who was backed by a Soros-funded PAC) released all 36 rioters and looters who were arrested, and they’re already back on the streets.

If nothing else, I hope this teaches voters that there is no such thing anymore as an insignificant election that it’s safe to ignore. In every election, you need to study the candidates, then show up and vote as if your life depends on it, because it very well could.

This sounds like one of those “feel good” laws that was passed by people who weren’t thinking so good. In Florida, there’s a law banning the sale of guns and ammunition during a declared state of emergency due to riot or civil unrest. Citizens are also banned from carrying a gun or ammo while in public during such times.

If you don’t think too deeply about this, it kind of makes sense. You don’t want rioters having easy access to weapons, right? Or hotheads committing violence. But hold on: the rioters are already rioting and committing violence. They’re throwing bricks and setting fires and looting. The people who need guns are law-abiding citizens trying to protect themselves from rioters and criminals. At the precise moment when they most need self-defense, this law prevents them from obtaining it or carrying it in public.

This should serve as a warning to law-abiding citizens to prepare in advance for times when they might need to defend their homes and families. I’ve heard that a lot of gun-hating liberals in riot-torn blue cities are trying to buy guns to protect their families, homes and businesses and discovering to their panic that gun stores are sold-out, closed or there’s that pesky waiting period that they demanded. Now they know how a woman who’s had her life threatened by a violent ex-boyfriend feels when she's told she has to wait a week or so to buy a gun.

The really dumb part of this law is that if it’s meant to keep guns out of the hands of criminals, any who want them probably already obtained them before they started robbing and looting. At least, they’d better have, because if they think they’re going to get them by looting a gun store, that might also be an example of not thinking so good.

PROJECT VERITAS ANTIFA EXPOSE

There's a chilling new expose video from Project Veritas, for those who insist that Antifa is imaginary or benign, and not actual cancer on America.

It’s a former Antifa member, describing the group’s tactics and goals, how they maintain secrecy, and how they train members to commit acts of violence and get away with it. And anyone who thinks that they can’t be branded a domestic terrorist group (even though one of their goals is to silence opposition by terrorizing people) because they’re not a centralized organization is living in a fool’s paradise.

Governor Huckabee, thank you so much for standing up and speaking the truth. I watched that Mattis guy yesterday. I was every bit as angry with him, as I was Comey a few years ago for holding up for Hillary. If Mattis was appointed, he should be unappointed now. He said he had served in the National Guard. Obviously, he was never introduced to the water tanks. I didn't know anything about them either, until Tuesday, 6/2/2020, when my husband told me about them. BTW, my husband has the perfect plan for ending those riots and not firing a shot. He said he would have the police surround the rioters and put the tanks on all sides and blast them with the water. When an American becomes a domestic terrorist, they lose their rights. And when the mayors and governors let the terrorists out of jail, they get impeached. I am sick of the whole mess. Many people have been harmed, died, and have their businesses desteoyed by terrorists, and American leaders are to blame for the whole thing.

Why Mattis had to come out now during this time of the Virus and then this terrible protest and rioting. Today anyone who is fired just cannot be quiet have to try to make it appear they did nothing wrong to be fired. Yet when you see how this Gen who should be respected for all he gave now attacks the President as nasty as he has now done. Maybe I could see if he was writing a book later on after Trump left office and told all but not this such a terrible time for the whole world let alone for Pres Trump Go away and be retired and write your book and stop the tearing down per you got fired and no doubt deserved this after all.

Lately, I've been reading (and watching DECLASSIFIED with Gina Shakespeare) of THE EPOCH TIMES that the Chinese Communists have cells in the US and they have been instrumental in providing funds (say, for bricks, etc.) and workers to incite the riots so they can show clips to the Chinese people about the lawlessness of the US. I have no hope for those who are so self-blinded they cannot see nor hear the truth because they can no longer distinguish what is true! Soros is the root of evil. I heard him say in a video I watched the other day that he felt no shame ratting out his fellow Jews in WW II. If that didn’t disturb him, surely helping tear down the US isn’t much of a bother. We should do like Hungary and kick him out of the US with a one way ticket to China where he’ll be among other communists.

I have but fleeting memories as a Military Policeman of the April 1968 riots in Washington when Martin Luther King was killed.
But what was enduring and never to be forgotten is his words of peace, reconciliation, and love for mankind. Only to be exceeded by his love for God. His words were powerful, more powerful than demonstrations, riots, looting and arson. The riots will be forgotten, but, not Rev. Kings messages of peace for humanity.

I believe that our constitution gives the American people the right to peacefully protest or demonstrate regardless of race or religious preference. I do not believe that it gives anyone the right to set fire to buildings and automobiles; loot and destroy places of business; shoot, knife or cause bodily harm or death to other people as a result of their rioting, and that law enforcement should be empowered to stop it, using whatever force is necessary, including shooting their asses off the street. It’s high time that all Americans woke up to the fact that law and order must be restored in this country if it is to survive. Thank you

Well said. General Mattis is a very disgruntled USMC because he didn't get his way with President Trump and since he lives within 6miles from me, he's doing his darndest to get the State of Washington (already in poor shape from Idiot Inslee) to be elected to something. He's a Rhino as far as I'm concerned. As for Inslee, Ryan Fisher wrote a very good article defining him. If you get his blog, it's worth your time. As for referring more people to your newsletter, I've about everyone of my friends getting it now. Thank you. Keep it going!!

    Some comments on Mr. Floyd:
The man has a history of lawlessness. Texas: convicted of Armed assault of a pregnant woman(fired rounds into the occupied home)--He was determined to be under the influence of Fentanyl).-Sentenced to five yrs in prison. (sentence may have been commuted-no info on this).
Now the man is arrested for passing forged bills-Minnesota). The arresting officers stopped the car the guy was in--he complained of dilusions and panic syndrome. The Officers called for EMS BEFORE excising him from the car he was in. The man resisted the arrest, and was subdued per the Minnesota ("use of Force matrix")--that would be the knee on the back of the neck. The ensuing death of Mr. Floyd was documented by the Coroner's office as the man was hyped up on fentanyl(same drug he was doped up on in the Texas issue), and had a heart anomally. data supports the "I can't breath" issue as a common complaint of perpetrators who are under the influence of an overdose of respiratory inhibiting drugs(Fentanyl), or just complaining of the law-enforcement restrictions to movement, when apprehended.
Now we have this National outpouring of outrage for a convicted criminal, who died (apparently from his own misuse of drugs) due to the radical nut-cases who think this is some unusual assault on Black folks--it is not--this is a simple arrest of a drughead who happened to have some underlying issues. The Police followed the Force rules they were charged with adhering to.
This is a media induced frenzy--the facts are not even considered, but glossed over.--soros should be proud------

You've hit the nail on the head with all of today's news. You articulate so well. This country is so polarized it's beyond comprehension. The murder of George Floyd has stretched across the Atlantic. I understand the protesting, but how long will this go on? Proposing to defund the police, insanity at it's worst! I'm doing everything to stay safe from the virus, but do I have to worry when I go out in public (grocery shopping) of being attacked because I'm white? I'm not a racist, but since this all happened, there is fear in the air.
I do believe the President has to watch his words & think he is loosing his supporters. He's been in bad places before, but this is completely different, his presidency is on the line. I was even shocked to hear some of the Senate Republicans were having a hard time in supporting him.

Thank you for providing Evening Edition. I pray for our Country and the people who love it. I pray for all those being led astray. I have no hope for those who are so self-blinded they cannot see nor hear the truth because they can no longer distinguish what is true! They can only hear what they say and only accept their ideas, thoughts, beliefs, etc. They call good evil and evil good. May God help us not to lose our country to these people.

Mr. Huckabee, I really admire your stance on the pertaining matters to our country, your intelligence, and erudition. Your daughter Sarah is not too bad either. As an aside, I contracted the Coronavirues, apparently at the West L.A. V. A. facility on Wilshire Blvd and the 405 freeway in mid- February, before there was a name for it. I just thought it was a weird case of the flu. I have found a cure for the virus, but weirdly enough, no one seems too be interested. I would be happy to share this knowledge with you, if you like. You are obviously a true American, and Sir, I salute you. Dean.

Thank you

Two days ago a man was interviewing a black man who was part of a mob looting a store in California. When the interviewer asked him why he was doing all this, his answer was “ I needed the money!” He wasn’t one of the young guys but looked like 40-50! Isn’t this what happened in Charlottesville, paid rioters?
