DEBATE TOPICS

The moderator of the final Presidential debate on October 22, Kristen Welker of NBC News, announced the topics she plans to cover: Fighting COVID-19, American Families, Race in America, Climate Change, National Security and Leadership.

It’s a fine collection of well-worn DNC talking points and menu items from the Biden-Harris campaign website, but do you notice anything missing? For instance, any issues the American people actually care about, other than COVID-19, which has already been talked to death in the first debate, the VP debate and the two townhalls?

According to a recent Gallup Poll, the #1 issue Americans are most concerned about is not Q-Anon or the President’s tax returns, it’s the economy, with terrorism and national security ranked second. The coronavirus came in third, followed by healthcare, race relations, gun policy, crime, abortion and immigration. Climate change was in 11th place.

I can see why the media are steering clear of questions on gun policy, crime, abortion and immigration, since those likely wouldn’t reflect well on Democrats. I’m sure it will be hard enough to slant the questions to make the economy, terrorism, national security and race relations reflect well on Democrats.

SCIENCE QUESTION

If a powerful political family commits massive corruption and influence peddling and most of the media refuse to report it, and social media censors anyone from talking about it, does the corruption and influence peddling still exist? Yes, and it will only get worse if the source makes it all the way to the White House, which is the goal of all that silence and censorship.

For the record, the Media Research Center has been keeping tabs. Over the two days (Wednesday and Thursday) when the Hunter Biden story was (against all odds) breaking, there was a total of 92 hours of news broadcast on ABC, CBS and NBC, the two townhalls and 18 hours a day each on CNN and MSNBC. Out of that 92 hours, less than 10 minutes was devoted to the Hunter Biden story. That included zero minutes on ABC and CNN.

But maybe they were just afraid to bring it up to Joe Biden for fear he’d bite their heads off. Bo Erickson of CBS actually asked Biden, “What is your response to the New York Post story about your son, sir?” Biden called it a “smear campaign,” then went off on Erickson personally, saying, “I know you’d ask it. I have no response, it’s another smear campaign, right up your alley, those are the questions you always ask.”

https://www.theepochtimes.com/joe-biden-calls-ny-post-story-about-his-son-hunter-another-smear-campaign_3542341.html

Well, at least he didn’t call him a “dog-faced pony soldier.” And for the record, reporting on potential high-level government corruption backed by firsthand email evidence is not a “smear.” An example of a “smear” would be if you kept accusing someone of calling neo-Nazis “very fine people,” even after that claim had been repeatedly debunked.

While there’s not much that can be done about the TV networks' blatant bias and dereliction of journalistic duty, the social media billionaires are about to learn that they don’t control the public’s freedom of speech. In addition to the demands to come in and “talk” to the Senate, they’ve been hit with an FEC complaint by the Republican National Committee for making an illegal “in-kind” contribution to the Biden campaign by shutting down discussion of the growing scandal.

TERROR AND FREE SPEECH

Friday in Eragny, France, northwest of Paris, a male teacher was attacked and beheaded on the street by an Islamic extremist, who was killed by police. The teacher had shown students a cartoon of Muhammed as part of a lesson on free speech. This was the second terrorist attack since a trial began related to the 2015 massacre at the offices of the satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo, which printed a cartoon depicting Muhammed. In the first attack, two people suffered non-fatal stab wounds and the attacker, a young Pakistani man, was arrested.

This latest horrific crime should serve as a lesson to the entire world about free speech. It’s also a stark warning that evil still exists. It’s just hiding in the shadows, biding its time while we argue over trivialities, and hoping that we’ll forget the recent past and let our guard down. Reminder: from 2010 to 2014, ISIS was allowed to take over territory in the Middle East the size of Pennsylvania, bringing with them mass murder, torture, sex slavery and beheadings. Have we already forgotten so completely who was in charge of our foreign policy at that time that we want to put the same people back in charge?

UNDECIDED VOTERS?!?

The people in the audience at the two town halls this week made more news than the candidates.

At the NBC Trump townhall, it appears that a black woman was moved into direct camera range behind Trump, possibly in hopes that she would express displeasure with him. But that backfired when she turned out to be a Trump supporter who nodded in emphatic agreement every time he refuted one of the moderator’s attacks. Even though she was wearing a mask, leftists were so outraged that a black woman dared to think in ways they disapprove of that they tracked down her identity and doxxed her on the Internet. I hope that backfires by making her a celebrity and showing the world just one more example of the left’s staggering sense of white privilege.

By the way, the woman who told Trump how handsome he was when he smiled also infuriated leftists and helped shatter the host’s carefully-constructed theme for the townhall, which was “EVERYBODY HAAAAAAAAAAATES TRUMP!!!”

Meanwhile, over on the ABC tongue bath for Joe Biden, the hosts must have had as much trouble getting Americans to show up for the broadcast as Joe does drawing a crowd at his “rallies.” That might explain why they had to substitute the announced “undecided voters” with partisans and political insiders, including a man who worked as a speechwriter under Obama.

Democrats protested that he was just a speechwriter in the Small Business Administration and Commerce Department and worked in the government under both Bush and Obama.

But the point is that ABC led us to believe these were all just ordinary “undecided” voters. Does nobody at ABC even know how to make contact with someone who isn’t a political appointee drawing a government or DNC paycheck? If so, they’re welcome to give me a call, and I’ll hook them up with some non-Swamp-dwelling Americans.

GREAT WEEKEND STORY

Here’s a great weekend story to take your mind off politics and remind you that there are other things in life that need tending to. Stacy Lois Oliver was a Chicago woman who died at 52 of the neurodegenerative disorder MSA. But before she did, she wrote her own obituary. It contains a lot of wise advice, so much that it went viral. Read it yourself, then go smell some roses. And say a prayer for her husband, Jeff, too.

When asked a question by the moderator, the president needs to ask Biden questions directly about:

    1) HB Scandal
    2) Packing the Court
    3) Antifa
    4) Anything else he pleases.

The moderator, from NBC, needs to sit down and shut up. Let the guys debate!

Why is President Trump again doing a so called debate on NBC again when all they are doing is trying to make him look bad! It’s a trap! I know President Trump is smart so is there something I’m missing, a strategy to allow NBC to make him look like a fool? Are they going to be civil and respectful or be another Savanah Guthrie episode no. 2! It’s wasted time. He does better on his own agenda! I pray God continues to protect him and let the people wake up that are for Biden who in their right mind wants socialism and lose their freedom!

Trump has been asked if he would leave the White House if he loses the election. Also, several times I've read things from the Democrats that say he won't leave. Trump did answer this question at his Town Hall....IF the election is fair, then yes he would leave. My question is this: will Joe Biden and the Democrats get off their high horse and finally concede their loss if Biden loses? Will they stop their childish games, riots, attacks and everything else they have done not only against the president, but against many Americans? Why doesn't anyone ask Biden THAT?

The two statements, in this newsletter, that I want to write a comment on are:

    1) "I can see why the media are steering clear of questions on gun policy, crime, abortion and immigration, since those likely wouldn’t reflect well on Democrats. I’m sure it will be hard enough to slant the questions to make the economy, terrorism, national security and race relations reflect well on Democrats." and

    2) "This latest horrific crime should serve as a lesson to the entire world about free speech. It’s also a stark warning that evil still exists. It’s just hiding in the shadows, biding its time while we argue over trivialities, and hoping that we’ll forget the recent past and let our guard down."

AND I CHOSE THESE TWO STATEMENTS BECAUSE I BELIEVE THEY CONFIRM THE FACT OF THE TRUTH OF WHAT I STATED IN MY LAST TWO PREVIOUS COMMENTS
    BECAUSE.....

In that first statement, when you state that the reason that the media steer clear of certain questions is because they "wouldn't reflect well on Democrats", it confirms what I stated, in my two previous comments, about the evil of the hypocrisy of Democrats accusing Trump of character flaws when their character flaws are far more evil!... This statement "says" that neither truth....or right vs wrong....matters to the media and, therefore, by definition, they are being used as SATAN'S mouthpiece!

In that second statement, where you actually refer TO evil, and how it's biding it's time while we argue over trivialities, I received hearing it as a confirmation of what I have stated about God's allowing us to suffer this pandemic as His judgment on us for being guilty OF this "sin" you define IN this statement!!

AND I TOOK THE TIME TO WRITE THIS COMMENT ON THE HEELS OF MY HAVING TAKEN THE TIME TO WRITE MY LAST TWO PREVIOUS COMMENTS BECAUSE THEY ALSO CONFIRM WHAT KIND OF POSTURE TRUMP NEEDS TO HAVE TOWARD THIS KIND OF EVIL, DURING THE UPCOMING DEBATE, TO WIN IT!!!!

Maybe you could ask Trump what kind of posture he thinks JESUS would have toward this evil and what HE would say ABOUT it during the upcoming debate
....and does he want to be JESUS' kind of winner by DOING what this winner of winners would do!!!

I fear that Biden is ahead. It seems that the voters are buying into the case that the government can solve all our woes. My fear isn't that Biden would take the presidency. There is this, our President is getting a lot of free-on-the-spot practice for the debate by the actual planners. He is going into this with a massive amount of prayer covering, so he needs to be aware the Holy Spirit will take delight to speak thru him. ...and to be silent also when it is time for his debate challenger to speak, speak, try to speak....give him opportunity to reveal his true self and goals. Also, no doubt, even tho the subjects don't seem to be directed to the economy and local terrorism, his finesse, along with the afore-mentioned Holy Spirit, will work those things in. Just be sure, Dear President, not to steal any Glory..you’ve been good!

Trump MUST prepare with verifiable facts to challenge Biden's actual policies as outlined on their web site, and keep his answers short and to the point to stay within time restraints. We know Biden could have questions in advance, and will be well schooled on the answers by his handlers. I suggest he be prepared to present a timeline on his Corona virus actions. I suggest the one Hannity presented in Live Free or Die, which will challenge all the lies from the Dems and the media. That has had zero publicity and needs to be heard. He can bury their constant references to his statement to Woodward by reminding everyone what he was actually accomplishing during those early months. Skip the bragging and present the facts strongly and briefly.
He has a great record to run on, but they have eliminated the economy from the topics. I hope he will prepare ahead for the main points he wants to make, and stick to the script. The moderator will pose questions to put him on the defensive. Hope he won't take that bait and get off topic. This debate will be much different from his rallies full of energized supporters.

I also think Joe and Kamala are not going to run the country if they win. I think it will be someone like a general from the Pentagon. Think Castro for instance. Also, no doubt, even tho the subjects don't seem to be directed to the economy and local terrorism, his finesse, along with the afore-mentioned Holy Spirit, will work those things in. Just be sure, Dear President, not to steal any Glory..you’ve been good!

We are angry that the Democratic debate commission stacks the deck against the conservatives. This needs to change (along with many other things) or the conservatives should pull out and organize their own Town Halls and debates.

I just hope and pray that the truth of the Biden rip-offs get out to the people to see and hear. Before the election.

    Governor Huckabee,
I heard on Fox News this afternoon that the FBI says the Hunter Biden laptop scandal was actually false. That the Russians created it. (russia, russia, russia) Any truth to this? I thought it had been authenticated. (Waiting for the news the hard drive was accidentally wiped).

    Thanks

I like the evening edition that I can click and make larger. Could you use larger print for the morning edition so us "old folks" with failing eyesight could read it easier??

Thanks. Like your news articles and analysis.

Why don't they have a debate where candidates take turn asking the other a question followed by responses by each? Climate change on again? What a waste. Foreign police has not been spoken of in any of the debates.

Why don’t the Republicans get to pick a moderator for these debates? If NBC is handling it you know they have picked another biased moderator! This is not fair!

Thanks Mike for reporting the truth. I had not heard of that horrific tragedy in Paris. Both President Trump and Vice President Trump are doing fantastic work even with all of the Trash that the left is trying to deter them with. I pray also for their wives and families.
I pray that Brandon recovers rapidly from Covid and that Amy's children will not be attacked any more by the horrible left. Thank you Mike and God bless you and your family.

The presidential debates would go better if they could resurrect Foster Brooks as the mediator.

I'm thinking the Fake News companies, many Democrats, who knows how many more are all invested in Biden's deals with China. That is why they refuse to cover it. I also think Joe and Kamala are not going to run the country if they win. I think it will be someone like a general from the Pentagon. Think Castro for instance. They must win to finish the TRANSFORMATION of America for Obama and Hillary, something the didn't finish and why all these people hate Trump so much because he foiled their pet project of TRANSFORMATION. Just thinking.
