What can be done about Big Tech?

    By Mike Huckabee

With Big Tech companies such as Google, Apple and Amazon acting in concert to crush Parler and silence conservative political speech, the big question is, what to do about it? Rep. Devin Nunes has called for a RICO investigation, but with the DOJ under the control of the Democrats, who benefit from the collusion (ironically!), that’s not likely to happen. Conservatives tried going to other platforms, but the Silicon Valley leftists control so much of the digital infrastructure that they can cut off any competitors’ web hosting, email service, even digital payment systems.

A bill was just introduced to scale back Section 230 protections when social media companies violate free speech rights, but I have little hope of it passing under the Democrats.

This article in the New York Post calls for federal intervention, but admits that won’t happen until at least 2024, when Republicans could take back the White House and Congress. But will they be able to when their free speech and online presence have been purged for four years?

So what can be done right now? Well, there are two things, and they’re already happening. On Monday, Parler turned to the courts, where there are now a number of Trump-appointed judges who actually care about the Constitution. Parler filed a massive lawsuit against Amazon for antitrust violations, breach of contract and unlawful business interference, and demanded that their web hosting service be reinstated. Parler says their contract with Amazon requires 30 days’ notice of termination, and they got less than one day. In fact, they found out about it from the leftwing website Buzzfeed, which apparently was told an hour before Parler was informed (now we finally have an answer to the question, “Which travels faster: an email or a virtue signal?”)

Since Parler CEO John Matze says he’s getting death threats and is afraid even to go home, and I assume those were ginned up on Twitter, then under the same standard applied to Parler, Twitter is responsible for the people fomenting death threats and should be shut down.

Let’s hope this is only the first of many, many major lawsuits against the Big Tech companies. In the meantime, there is also another way to fight back, and it’s already starting. The tech giants think that they can “disappear” 75 million Americans who voted for Trump. But 75 million angry Americans can respond by refusing to do business with them. They can turn off Facebook and Twitter and actually talk to their real friends, or read a book, go outside, spend time with their families, or do something really productive, like restarting the Tea Party movement. They can shop in person at locally-owned stores instead of on Amazon.

This whole “We don’t need no stinkin’ deplorables as customers!” attitude proved its foolishness to the companies’ shareholders on Monday when Twitter’s stock value plummeted by $5 billion in one day, losing 12% of its value (that’s its stock value; I’m not sure what other value Twitter has.)

Also on Monday, other tech stocks took a beating, with Amazon losing 2.15% of its value, Google and Apple losing over 2.3%, and Facebook dropping by over 4%.

That article assumes that this is just temporary, and they’ll bounce back. Or it could be only the beginning. Show of hands: how many of you who have left Twitter plan to go back? How many plan to give money to any of these companies as long as they’re colluding to deprive you of your Constitutional rights? Wow, not seeing any hands out there.

Ultimately, the greatest power is the power of the purse. The leftist billionaires who control these tech companies are dependent on us giving them our time and money. Yet they are so arrogant and filled with hubris that they think it’s we who are dependent on them. For instance, they actually believe that if they deplatform the #WalkAway movement, it will prevent people from walking away from the left. They’re right: people are now running away.

As far as Facebook and Twitter thinking that they're here to stay and we’re permanently dependent on them: How much time have you spent on MySpace lately?

    The World is Watching

    By Mike Huckabee

Leftists keep telling us that President Trump is an embarrassment to America in the eyes of other nations. Personally, I find it embarrassing that the leaders of other nations around the world, even leftwing leaders, are watching American Big Tech CEOs’ outrageous censorship of Trump and his supporters and condemning the US for its failure to protect the right to free speech.

My favorite quote, from Russian opposition leader Alexy Navalny, who calls the social media purge an unacceptable form of censorship: “Don’t tell me (Trump) was banned for violating Twitter rules. I get death threats here every day for many years, and Twitter doesn’t ban anyone.”

Also worth considering: maybe you’ve gone too far when Germany is telling you you’re acting like fascists

    Biden's pick

    By Mike Huckabee

It’s been reported that when she was president of Harvard’s Black Students Union, Joe Biden’s pick to run the Civil Rights Division of the Department of Justice invited a noted anti-Semite to speak and wrote a letter to the campus newspaper, arguing that blacks have greater mental, physical and spiritual abilities than whites because they have more melanin in their skin.

Ladies and gentlemen, the “party of science!”

    Banned by Facebook

    By Mike Huckabee

Facebook has permanently banned a clothing retailer called Patriotic Me for alleged violations of terms of service, but the company can’t get anyone from Facebook to explain what they did wrong.

The business was started by a wife and mother who sells non-partisan clothes with patriotic themes, such as the American flag. A portion of every sale goes to the Tunnels to Towers Foundation, a charity to help injured veterans and first responders (I’ve had the founder of that group on “Huckabee” as a Huck’s Hero:

Sales are down by 94% because Facebook has cut off their traffic, and the owner can’t get through to any live human to explain why so that they can correct it. Let’s hope the increased exposure forces Facebook to respond and relent. In the meantime, here’s the shop’s website, which at least is still allowed to be online.

    Pelosi blames "whiteness"

    By Mike Huckabee

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi blamed last week’s violent protest inside the Capitol on “whiteness” and people placing "whiteness over democracy."

I think she has a point. All the power in Washington is concentrated in one racist organization whose leaders are two wealthy white men, ages 70 and 78, and a very wealthy white woman who’s 80. They all refuse to relinquish their power to younger, more diverse challengers. In the name of eradicating the corrosive power of whiteness, I call on them to resign immediately.

Well, maybe not the 78-year-old white guy. He’ll probably be replaced by a younger woman of color pretty soon anyway.

The ribbon on Real America's Voice is saying that you said "Trump has sullied his own good reputation". It just doesn't sound like you.

Mike, thank you. I look forward to your emails. It helps calm me in this storm that we are in. I truly believe that God is in control right now. He is testing us ALL. I pray for Mr.Trump throughout the day, and I pray for this once great nation. Thank you again. :)

I posted on Facebook, yesterday, a video of an older man delivering Amazon packages to a home. While he was doing this the American Flag became unhooked. The man went to pick it up and since it was too high for him to reattach he folded the American Flag as it should be folded, not letting it touch the ground. He then placed the flag for the owner to find and left. Facebook took down that video. I was proud of that. But not on FB. I guess Zuckerman is offended by the America that made him rich. Jesus is in the horizon.

Every day Trump is out of office the CCP grows stronger here in America and around the world the Chinese Communist Party will celebrate on Jan 20th the incoming Biden will be a true asset to China in its quest for dominance and to put America in rear view mirror does the White House have a basement Biden can hide in while the CCP runs the country I wouldn't want that half wit around either.

Thank you for your News letter.
You are giving Hope to a lot of Americans who have been watching at all that has happen over the last 4 years.
It was sad to see the response of so many Americans after President Trump last SPEACH. He was telling Americans to be strong we have to fight for our rights. March to the White House peacefully.
Out of the 4 years we can all agree the Democrats have Selective Hearing. Then they twist it to fit their Narrative to go after Trump.
We know what they want, to control the people and put all our money in Their pockets.
God is with us there are times we feel abandoned. One must always remember that our prayers will be answered. We must understand we don’t know when God will answer nor do we know how.
Be a sure he will answer our prayers. Know that all Good will over power Evil.

I know this is long, but please take to time read it. It is my honest and innermost feelings at this terrible time.
I have ALWAYS been a supporter and follower of you and your daughter Sarah, but I honestly find your comments to be a little facetious after you openly backed away from helping our President on live TV and in print. Until now I have seen nothing from you over the course of this time since the fraudulent election to suggest you were really the standup and “stand tall for freedom” person I always thought you to be. I have been so disappointed in the people who could have done something in this country that I had stopped checking any news on TV or reading anything on facebook or my emails from all the conservative forums. I deactivated two twitter accounts this week and am very seriously thinking of getting rid of my facebook as soon as I can download all of my pictures and info onto my laptop. I had downloaded Parler over a year ago to try to get away for the censorship of Facebook. But now that privilege has been taken away from us. MeWe is on the verge of the same censorship.

I am 71 years old as of January 8 this year and I have always been an optimist in my lifetime even through my hardships and many losses. My grandchildren and great grandchildren, of which at this time I have 7 of each, will never know the great country I once knew. They will never know the feeling of pride I have always had in my country as I grew up. The daughter of a WWII veteran that was wounded and received a Purple Heart for his service in the Battle of the Bulge along the Rhine River. He died of cancer when I was just 8 months old. My “daddy” who helped my mother raise me, marrying “us” when I was 6 years old after coming back from fighting in Korea and meeting my mother when I was 2 years old. I was “his baby girl”. He was in the very first regiment in to Korea to fight and also being wounded and receiving a Bronze Star for his service. I sat with daily in his last days listening to things he talked about that I had never heard him speak of before. I knew he had a rough time in Korea, but never knew how bad until his last few months of life. I and others including his pastor and the assisted living chaplain reassured him that the things he had to do in Korea were beyond his control. I told him that had he not gone there and done what he did that I might not have been able to be with him and we might not have ever known the love we found. We might never have been a family. He thought log and hard about it and finally agreed with me and was at peace within himself. My mother had died in March of 2012 and he was so lonely for her, but held on as long as he was able to stay with me because my heart was so broken at losing mother and then the thoughts of losing him so soon after. The last day he lived I had to let him go he was suffering so much. I had to tell him I was a big girl and I would be oaky. That was the number one hardest thing I have ever had to do in my life. He died in 2013 with CHF and a tumor on his kidney. Also being the sister in law of a Vietnam veteran who died a little over two years ago from Agent Orange. These are only 3 examples of the men in my life that have fought for and served their country. All of my father’s brothers served in the military except one and he was the last son (the baby of the family) with a brother already in Vietnam and all of the other brothers had served over the years. My “daddy” had 6 brothers who ALL served and fought. My step grandmother was a woman of small stature, but a giant sending her sons off to the service of our country never knowing when she would see any of them again. Her oldest fighting in WWII all the way down to her youngest in Vietnam. My mothers brother in laws (sisters husbands) all were veterans. What great examples I grew up with! But my heart is broken this morning for myself, my family, all of the friends that fought and died for county and al the people of this once great country. I can hear my father and my daddy rolling in their graves and that feeling and that sound in my head kept me awake all night.

I was taught by this great family of mine that our president is to be honored and not treated as this President has been. We put up with the racist and communistic Obamas for 8 years without doing all of this. You know as well as I that what I am saying is true. We had to sit back and watch him cowering and bow and scrape to our enemies like a groveling sniveling wimp. Kissing the ring and hand of a sworn enemy. Yet we waited. We knew he only had 8 years and we could wait him out. But he went NOWHERE! He stayed involved in the business of our country spying and lying and doing everything he could do to undermine the United States and our President. The President that he and the democrats feared so much. Why do they fear him so much? Because he knows them and their dirty secrets! He KNOWS where they have hidden the bodies and the to speak. He knows how to get to them and he has been thwarted at every turn by members of his own party! Why is that? Because they are RINOs and as deep into this as the worst of the left wing NUTS.

You know as well as I do that NO Republican would resort to the violence that happened at the Capitol and NOTHING in President Trumps speech incited anyone to do this! Myself, my husband and many, many friends have all separately and collectively watched the speech over and over again trying to hear and see where he incited anyone to violence. You know as well as any of us...if you are honest about it...that this was a set up by Pelosi and her gang to “get” Trump because once he is out of office he can spill the beans on all of them. She is afraid of him and she is doing whatever she thinks it takes to get him in any way she can. She knows after all of this when it really hits the fan and the patriots stand and we get the investigations into voter fraud we are begging for Trump will be elected again at least in 2024. She can’t let that happen. So she tires to invoke the 25th amendment. She goes after impeachment. We all know that antifa and BLM are violent and will do anything to gain power. You also know as well as I do that biden is just the puppet of the left wing nuts and he will never really be president nor will he last in office. I have 2 in which kamala (we call her “heels up harris” in our inner women’s circle) gets Pelosi to invoke the 25th amendment and she takes over OR Jill keeps him propped up enough to get him through his 4 years and then runs for president herself saying “well I might as well be president since I have actually been running the country for the last 4 years”. Take your pick it’s coming.

So please stop with the rhetoric and take a stand to actually do something about it! Just writing a article does no more good than what I am sitting here writing to you. The world is watching every move that is made by the people of the UNited States.

You have made some very good points. I find it very unfortunate that through the busy-ness of our everyday lives, over the years we have been blinded into allowing Facebook to become a "Utility" same as other forms of social media. It is going to be very difficult to break away from such reliance on any organized program that helps us to navigate through our daily lives and to keep up with our family activities and to stay in touch with friends. Many of us do not have home phones anymore and for big tech to take this form of service away or to abuse their abilities by censoring us because we don't agree with them is just plain wrong!
I personally have found it difficult to find a new social media that works very well. I'm not sure if it's because of mass numbers of people trying to join the other options that causes the sluggishness of these sites or if it's big tech interference. At any rate, I deactivated my Twitter account and cleaned up my Facebook page looking to escape their control on my life when I find something that works.
By the way, I'm reading Sarah's book. It's a good read. She is a true Patriot as are you. Thanks for what you have done for this country. Keep up the "Good Fight". God bless you and I pray for His good and perfect will be to be done.

Our country is in a sad state! I watched in horror while the rioters invaded the capital, but the Liberals (bought & paid for) are still doing everything they can to divide our people. I don't believe anything that comes out of their mouths because they lie. It's amazing that none of them ever get prosecuted for their crimes and obviously they don't get any work done for the people because they spend all their time hating. Only God can get us through this.

Again Congress's refusal to do the peoples work has been Pelosi aim at destroying American value that brought the CCP ideology into play as The CCP is celebrating its win in its takeover of the UnUnited States. The Constitution is under siege with the beginning of the Supreme Court ruling of allowing states non Legislative branch to create new voting rules before a Federal Election. John Roberts butchers the Constitution the new members Trump got to SC will be canceled out with Mitch knowing this is going to happen Mitch is also a RINO the Republican Party is a farce as was the Impeachment and the Russian hoax. McConnell will step down as Senate Republican Leader in November

Mitch McConnell announced Wednesday that he will step down as Senate Republican Leader in November. He is the longest-serving party leader in US history. He did not say if this has anything to do with the criticism he’s received from conservatives or with his recent health issues that caused him to freeze up in mid-sentence a time or two. But while he will no longer be the GOP leader, he intends to continue serving in the Senate at least through the end of his current term in January 2027.

And here’s a surprise: Robert Kennedy Jr. suggested that McConnell be replaced by Sen. Rand Paul. RFK Jr. tweeted, “It’s time to promote leaders in Washington, DC, who won’t kowtow to the military contractors or push us deeper into foreign conflicts. We need representation who will prioritize American wellness over all else. I believe Rand Paul would be an incredible successor. He’s shown great judgment and has the grit to put hardworking Americans first.”

    Get Out

Law Professor William A. Jacobson of the Legal Insurrection blog has been watching the politicized lawfare against Trump and conservative businesses and organizations in New York, and the unprofessional threats and ugly gloating by Attorney General Letitia James about how she’s going to destroy Trump. He analyzed the situation in light of assurances by Gov. Hochul that if your business isn’t doing anything wrong, you have nothing to fear. And he arrived at this conclusion:

“Get out of New York, if you can.” And if you can’t leave now, “Develop an exit plan before you need it.

    No test?!?

The White House announced Wednesday that President Biden is making an unannounced trip to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center for his yearly physical exam…which will NOT include a cognitive test. Press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre dismissed questions about a cognitive test, saying Biden proves his cognitive abilities "every day [in] how he operates and how he thinks."  I’m confused, is that an argument for or against a cognitive test?

    -10:16 AM, 2/28/2024

    Talk about a delicious irony

One of the strongest arguments for overturning the ruinously large fine on Trump in his New York real estate fraud case is the Eighth Amendment protection against excessive fines. The Supreme Court ruled 9-0 in 2019 that that protection does apply to state courts. And one of the strongest arguments for Trump to cite came from liberal icon Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who said:

“The prohibition embodied in the Excessive Fines Clause carries forward protections found in sources from Magna Carta to the English Bill of Rights to state constitutions from the colonial era to the present day. Protection against excessive fines has been a constant shield throughout Anglo-American history for good reason: Such fines undermine other liberties. They can be used, e.g., to retaliate against or chill the speech of political enemies.”

I might not have agreed with many of her rulings, but judging from this, there’s no doubt she was psychic.

    Public Service Announcement

Public service announcement to anyone thinking of donating to Harvard or sending their kids there: The co-chair of Harvard’s anti-Semitism task force resigned Monday because she has no confidence that Harvard will implement any of the task force’s recommendations to stop Jew hatred on campus.

Related: Stephen Kruiser at PJ Media has a news round-up illustrating how bedbug crazy these pro-Palestine dingbats are and how they “have more vocal cords than brains,” from calling Jerry Seinfeld a “genocide supporter” to literally setting themselves on fire.

Private School For Me, But Not For Thee

Two Democrat Governors, Roy Cooper (North Carolina) and Andy Beshear (Kentucky), co-wrote an op-ed for USA Today condemning Republican attempts to give low-income parents vouchers to send their kids to the schools of their choice. They painted this as a racist conspiracy to loot the budgets of our precious public school system and set our schools back for a generation (as if the COVID lockdowns and the focus on woke politics and LGBTQ activism hadn't already set public school students back a generation.)

One problem: Both Democrat Governors send their own kids to elite private schools. But that’s okay because, hey, they can afford it.

    The Best People

President Trump was roundly condemned as a racist and a xenophobe for saying of illegal immigration that other countries were not sending us their best people. So just to clarify, here’s an example of one of those best people that Joe Biden let in.
